I should have read the reviews first, OMG! These people are not technical on any product; they have general knowledge at best. The technician arrived to replace the glass topper and one element. The technician provided a price quotation of $1700. I accepted. He said the parts would be ordered and returned the following day. He promised to fix it in two days, but a week later, after making several calls to get him to come over and complete the job. The same technician came with yhr parts but not with the right tools to remove the knobs' plastic screws. That was an excuse to leave the job unfinished. A second technician arrived 3 days later, after several serious phone calls. This guy was friendly and able to install the new glass topper as nd element coil. My daughter attended this call I was at the office. After he finished 2.5 hours later, he told my daughter everything was done and tested, but told her not to touch for 40 minutes. My daughter followed his instructions. When I arrived at home, OMG, the stove elements on the right side were not working, the oven was not working either, the koibs screws were broken or missing. I called a lady who said she was the supervisor. She was insulting. She tried to tell me I didn't pay. They only accept cash or debit cards. She said they are forwarding the call to the service warranty department (that's a lie). Not sure when they will be coming back. I called the police and reported them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY 2 'technicians' came to assess my wall oven and dishwasher - the site reads $80 service fee but once they arrived on site that increased to $470 but "everything is fixable" - so I signed and paid. While 'everything is fixable', they were going to need to order parts - totaling over $1,600. I declined. When I asked them for part numbers they said that they only supply the model number to their parts department and the parts department relays the price to them. I questioned the technicians repeatedly about what my $530 (including taxes) had actually bought me and they said it was all on the invoice. Not satisfied with this I phoned their offices asking that the technicians return and show me what they had done but the supervisor of customer service told me they had left the area. Given that the technicians left my property less than 5 minutes before I placed the call that is not possible. This company only takes cash or debit for onsite services (used my debit card) so there is no way I can recover the money (spent most of the afternoon trying) I was caught off guard - a very expensive lesson for me. I hired The Appliance Team Repair last week to fix my LG washer, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The technician misdiagnosed the issue and replaced the wrong part -- the motor, which was never defective in the first place. The actual issue was with water overflow, and instead of addressing the faulty overflow sensors or hoses, they replaced a working component. I was charged $680 upfront via debit card -- they conveniently refused to accept a credit card, which should have been my first red flag. After the so-called "repair," my washer started exhibiting the exact same problem with the same error codes related to overflow. When I called their office to report the issue, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. The technician, Cara, came and did nothing more than a basic reset, then charged us $290. The worst part? The exact same issue happened again later that day. The repair guy told my wife it would be $1300 to repair our ten year old dishwasher. He convinced her it was a worthwhile expenditure. I would have said no, scrap it and buy a new one. They came and "fixed"it and we gave them $1,300. It didn't work. Not one cycle. A second guy came and said it need a different part replaced at a cost of $600. Shame on me for being duped twice. First time, dryer required new drum...ordered in Feb '24, wrong part sent end of March and was reordered. I had to continually follow up to get an eta and finally, service was set for today. No one showed. I called 45 minutes after the service window to learn that the part is no longer available and they would refund me the price I paid for the part, less a $200 restocking and delivery fee! Cannot believe it! A restocking fee for a part that is no longer available! In the meantime, I needed my dishwasher repaired urgently. A valve was replaced, service was quick and efficient. Spoke to KitchenAid to have it covered by warranty only to find that I was charged $195 for a $75 part and $290 for labor when KA service caps at $125. Difficult lesson to learn. This company is scam company. Appliance Repair (85 Enterprise Blvd #101, Markham Ont....Do not use them and if you do because you can not find anyone else then watch the repair person as they work. They claim to have to do checks before they can start the work and they do not do it. I mistakenly trusted the worker named (Sanvindor) paid him for labour service which he said would take half an hour to 1 hour to complete. 15 minutes later I heard him say "Miss, can you come here" and I heard the door shut. My wife went to the basement door and she said he was gone. He did not do a repair to the fridge and the fridge of course still did not work. When I called to the company they said "We charge $80.00 for a service call and if anything is wrong we will leave" But, the repair man asked for $320.00 upfront and the rest is history. I called the company and spoke the so called manager (Iona or Ilona) and she said "Too bad and stop whining it is your fault that you did not understand" Then I said "fine have him come back and finish the work" she said that we have to use there parts. washing machine repair In August 2023 we had a repair technician come to look at our washing machine. He insisted my husband give $565.30 on a debit card and the part would be in early the next week. After 7 days we called and staff had no idea about when part would be in, so we cancelled the order. we cancelled the order. The invoice clearly says we are entitled to a refund with adjustments to return parts. We called for two months, always say the accounting department is taking care of it but we could never speak to anyone there, always on holidays or I'll. Wrote a letter in September, with no response, sent an email in November with no response so now we will finalize our complaint with Ministry of Consumers. The next day, our ice maker started making ice so we called to cancelled the order and they said they had ordered the part already and they can only do a partial refund due to Shipping and Handling cost. They are dishonest and have clearly built a business preying on customers lack of experience with appliance repair. At this point we've paid hundreds of dollars repairing a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. They provided a diagnostic on what's wrong, and then fixed that problem. But they didn't review the integrity of the entire unit, so when when the unit stopped working, we called them again and there are two new problems to be fixed. Their "full diagnostic" is a lie. They used the pretense of it to provide assurance to us that the unit was fixed. But when there was a "new" problem, the service charge model continued. I feel like a sucker. Make sure you ask for a warranty on the diagnostic. I would expect to receive an informed recommendation on whether the customer should invest in repair, or replace; they are not doing their job. If you're open to rolling the dice and probably getting ripped off, these are the guys for you. And to make matters worse, they charge $80 flat for a visit, and when they do the (incomplete) diagnostic they claimed that the $80 would be applied as a credit on any work done. Beware: Its a scam repair company!!! I called this Co in Sep 2023 as it conveniently showed up in google search (appliance repair, they must have paid google top dollars for this! Google should ban them!). I asked for Fridge repair and they said they will send a repair person same day. I called them after 10 mins to cancel the appointment as I realized I will not be home at the time given for the technician to arrive. The response of the customer care lady on phone suddenly turned abusive and uncouth! Threatened me to pay a fee or face wrath of a collection agency. Remember, no service was taken. Only appointment booked on phone and cancelled within a reasonable time. Nothing signed. I reasoned that I have not taken any services and therefore am not obliged to pay any fee. They now demand that I pay them CAD $90! This is unethical and abrasive way of doing business that no respectable business will ever do. That was in Sep 2023. On Nov 2, I received a letter threatening me to pay $90 or face collection agency. All the hallmarks of a scam. I checked other websites for this Co and found similar complaints. Advice to others: call the brand first (Samsung/Bosch/etc) on their official number, they will give you their partner co name and number in your area. The A Team Appliance Repair, address 85 Enterprise Blvd. #101 Markham ph 1-866-840-9010 is a terrible company and just out to scam people. We called to have them look at our LG fridge March 2024. We had done our own diagnostic so we know you just take the panel off and hit the reset button to see a red flash code that will give you an idea of the problem but we wanted some to come and look to be sure that was the actual problem and fix it. We were told it was $80 charge for service call. They failed to mention that was just for him to arrive. To actual do anything press that diagnostic was $290. Total waste of our time and the technician seemed not very knowledge (Kumi). I would not trust them as he said our fan wasn't working meanwhile you could see it turning and feel the air so he was just making things up. Unfortunately they popped up when we did a repair LG search in google and we saw their website reviews were good, and then after this experience saw the complaints on this company and want to add my review hoping it helps someone else not use this company. read more
