I hired D.C. Appliance repair to fix a leaking refrigerator. I was able to schedule next day service which was nice. The technician, Andrew, was very nice, polite and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem just by me explaining it to him and had the problem fixed in under an hour. That is great service. Most appliance repair companies charge an initial house call with either a half hour or hour labor. Parts are always extra. Their housecall fee was the lowest I could fine plus they provide an hour of labor included. Lowest price plus great service. Will definitely use their company again. Highland recommended. read more

DC Repair is a dream come true. About 17 years ago DC Repair replaced the control panel on my new Kitchen Aid dishwasher due to unit malfunction. Called this service as I used them several years ago for a problem with my refrigerator. Very good experience. Now...... Called June 8th,2026 for a dryer concern. According to their web page they repair washers, dryers and other appliances. Employee kept say we don't do vents, no vent etc. why isn't the repair of dryers more qualified. Fantastic experience: I made an appointment online which was set for the following day. I got a confirmation with a window as to when the repair person would arrive. He called an hour prior to showing onsite. He was kind and professional. Gave an estimate for the repair and fixed my dryer in less than an hour. Side note - I'm fairly positive I called this company years ago to repair the same dryer. They did not service the manufacturer at the time. I reached out this time around in desperation thinking my appointment would be cancelled. Had a great experience with them after my brand new fridge was making a bad knocking sound and kitchenaid contracted with them to fix it. They had to make a few trips out to try and troubleshoot based on feedback from kitchen-aid but they were very pleasant each time coming out. They also take the time to explain what the fix is and why they are doing it which I really liked so I can keep track of the repairs. They have a good system in place to confirm your appointment the day before and they even call when they are on the way to your house (because you are given a larger window where they can come example between 10-2) so you can be ready for their arrival. I even had to call the office to check on part status and had a great customer service experience. read more

Very pleased with this company! Requesting service was effortless through their website. Unlike some companies that don't seem to pay attention to their emails or web requests, this one promptly scheduled service for a date of my choosing. Their robo-call confirmed the night before and gave me an arrival window. The technician, Robert, was extremely professional and helpful. He called when he was on his way and gave me his ETA. He very quickly diagnosed my issue and gave me honest advice about how to proceed - repair or buy a new unit? He also gave me advice on how to improve efficiency - not a service his company can even provide, but he told me how to do it myself. A part needed to be ordered but they received it within only a couple days and Robert was back out later that week to complete the job. The whole thing cost me $249 for parts and labor. The tech wasn't able to fix the ice maker . Came to the house 3 times, 3 days in a row and never resolved the issue. The problem was misdiagnosed and we're out of 120.00. This company provides a great service. You'll only ever need them in an emergency, but then you will be happy. They fix appliances. I'm my case an oven. Which was new. Or pretty new anyway. Ok, sit tight for a minute. The fridge made a knocking sound and didn't hold the temp so I called for the repair. The repair guy was nice and prompt but one hour after he left the BRAND NEW WHIRLPOOL FRIDGE started knocking again. REALLY FRIGGIN LOUD. I called DC and the woman said I had to leave the fridge on for 24 hours so they could correctly diagnose the issue. I said that I have little kids and no one could sleep if I left it on. (Please believe me when I say it was heard through the bedrooms which are near the kitchen. ) she would not say it was unrepairable or ask Whirlpool to help me get an exchange. HOW MANY TIMES AM I OBLIGATED TO HAVE THE REPAIR GUY COME OUT? Do I really need to lose sleep ? I have kids taking Regents tests at school this week! And I've been without a working fridge since 6/2/23. No one cares folks, especially this company. read more

The repair man who came to look at my dishwasher was here less than 15 minutes and told me I needed a new wash pump and it would be about a $400.00 repair plus the service fee of 128.00. I paid the service call fee and decided to get a second estimate. Today I spent $120.00 for a diagnostic test which rebooted the dishwasher and it works fine. I am really disappointed that the service tech did not take the time to do a diagnostic test. I am glad that I second guessed the issue. The dishwasher is less than two years old. I would like my money back on the service call, however, I don't feel like bothering due to the poor service. I am doubtful I would get it. If it doesn't seem right, get a second opinion. One day's response? Try 7 to 10 days. Only to tell me they had to order the part and back on the list I go for another 7 to 10 days. It was not over then either. My 18-month-old Whirlpool refrigerator appeared to be a mystery to the repairman until he went back to his vehicle to check it out. That's when he informed me I would have to wait for another 7 to 10 days to have it repaired. Yes, they had to order the part, however, that was not the reason for the wait, their backlog was the reason. That was the first visit and I was 10 days without a fridge. At this point, we are living out of a cooler. We waited for service for another 9 days. The serviceman came only to tell us we would have to go back on the list. The part was damaged in transit. Because of the backlog, it would be another 9 days for service. I angrily agreed and called the office only to find out the manager was not available. I have some experience as a service manager in a bustling business and drawing on that experience I can tell you how this should have gone. The first appointment should have taken priority over any "check my thermostat", of "My timer setting in not correct" repairs. The appliance not working at all trumps minor convenience calls. The tech was only here for 20min and should have been able to make the rest of his calls for that day. The part can be overnighted to the appliance shop. Once the part was delivered to the appliance shop service should have been within one day. When it was discovered that the part was damaged it should have been reordered overnight and repairs should be made the next day. This all could have been over in 10 to 12 days even with the damaged part. Instead, unless the missing manager calls me back, it will take nearly 30 days in the hottest part of this summer to have the fridge working. I am a patient person however there is a limit and this is it. D.C.Appliance repair does not deserve a 5 Starr rating. The service I received is not putting the customer first. UPDATE: I called the manager back and he did move the service date up. It will be another 3 days for service. Better than 9 days and at least he cared about the customer enough to take positive action. read more

Repair technician appeared promptly as scheduled and diagnosed what was patently obvious, a blown baking element in our Maytag range's oven. In spite of knowing the make and symptoms beforehand, the tech did not show up with a replacement element. Told us it would be a week to get the part and the total would be a little over $370 Plus tax! When I pointed out that going another week without an oven was a hardship and that I could order a replacement part and get it in 24 hours the reply was that, "We can only use authorized parts." I paid for the service call ($128.47 with tax) and right after he left I ordered a new element (genuine Maytag part, $79) to be delivered next day (they wanted $125 for the part). I'll do the work myself and will have a working oven by tomorrow. Their prices are top of the line. I am willing to pay top dollar for top service. This was not that. A week without an oven is simply not acceptable, "Because they can only use authorized parts" and it shows me how little they regard their customers' needs. This especially burns me since I was able to order an OEM replacement part for immediate delivery. Grrrrrrrrrr. We are not satisfied and will avoid using them for appliance service going forward. read more

My diswasher rack broke..a week before Christmas. I tried to fix it myself, but just couldn't. I found DC Appliance online, and the website made it so easy to make an appointment. They confirmed and then followed up with another email. The night before my service call I received a message giving me a window of when they would arrive, and the service man called me as he was driving to the house. After a short while he knew what part had broken and, although he didn't have the part with him, he made a special trip to meet another truck that did have the part. I was thrilled that Joe went to the extra trouble of going out of his way so that Christmas would be saved (just a small part of Christmas, but still wonderful !) Recently my dishwasher that I bought from Orville's 1-1/2 years ago stopped working. Got an error message (Er). I called DC to come out to look at it. I've used them in the past. This time, Wayne came out to look at my dishwasher. I knew I would have to pay the 129.36 fee for them to show up and diagnose the problem, but that would not include any repairs. Wayne told me there was a problem with dishwasher control panel and the part and labor would be $450. I said I would not pay that and I would get a new dishwasher. So I went to Home Depot to buy a new dishwasher and it was was delivered on 04/13. While the two men were going to install the dishwasher, the man taking out the old one asked me WHY I was getting a new dishwasher and I told him what Wayne at DC had told me that I needed a new part that would cost $450! This man told me that there was nothing wrong with the control panel, that there were a few wires loose (he showed me) and should be in a cap and he thought that's all that's was wrong with it (Orville's installer did not do it properly). Sure enough, he took care of the problem and suggested I return the new dishwasher for a full refund, which I did!! I am furious that Wayne didn't see this (it was obvious) and was going to try to RIP me off for an expensive repair that I didn't need! I WILL NEVER CALL DC APPLIANCE REPAIR AGAIN and I would not recommend them to anyone. This was a simple repair that an installer found and he could have just installed the new dishwasher and taken the old one (1-1/2 years) away and not even mentioned it. I appreciate his honesty!! Again, I will never call DC for any repair!! The installer for Home Depot saved me hundreds of dollars by being honest!! read more
