He was initially responsive to our requests to repair our freezer, dishwasher & washer. He quoted us a price & we did not even negotiate since we trusted tht he will do a good job. However, after about a month the dishwasher stopped heating again which is what we asked him to fix. And then the washer's water valve is not working after he fixed it from leaking. Now, we can't even use it to do our laundry. We called him several times and left messages but he's not responding. Two said they wouldn't work with us since we already had the replacement parts for our GE Café induction range (sent under warranty from GE). Appliance Repair Tech was the only company of the four that said they'd do the job. And they did! Tuesday they came out, replaced the circuit board, and made sure it all worked. The two men who came to do the work were masked the entire time (so we wore masks as well), and did a great job, within the estimated repair price range. Our less than 2 year old GE washer could not be powered on. Appliance Repair Tech (ART) came out and assessed, eventually ordering the electronic part needed. However, the machine stopped working again. ART sent a technician to assess again, and agreed to either try a different part or replace the part covered under warranty. The new part didn't solve the problem, we had to wait until the warrantied part came in. Then Anton came personally to install it. During a subsequent test load, the machine stopped again mid cycle, so Anton did another service call, upon which he discovered the root problem, the drain pump was jammed. Honest and timely. We called Anton again after a good experience the first time a couple years ago. His tech came out the next day to look at our Bosch dryer which had no heat. Turns out it was a heat pump unit and the refrigerant had leaked out. I talked to Anton on the phone and he patiently explained the problem and the fact that it would be impractical to try to locate the leak, and any replacement refrigerant (several hundred dollars worth) would leak out again. Not the news we wanted to get (had to replace the dryer which was only 5 years old. -Grrr Bosch ) but the service call was very reasonable and the advice was straightforward and honest. I called on Friday to fix my dishwasher door (mechanism/spring that prevents the door from falling), was expecting an appointment during the week but they offered Saturday 11-1pm - that's good. At 12:15 I called for an update on timing, should be there at 1pm. Came at 1:30pm, Okay, I could have done something else during that time, maybe a quick update would have been nice. I was fine with min visit fee, to be deducted from total. Their minimum labor fee was 2.5x that, and this person fixed the issue in 25min... The part was 1x online and their price was 3x... we settled on 2x. I felt taken advantage of on pricing given the how fast and easy it was for them to fix this.... Let me start with: Most appliance repair places don't handle repairs on kitchen range hoods. When I called Anton I told him I had a very unique overseas brand. That didn't stop him. Anton was able to repair my range hood. The control panel and some electrical components got fried during a big storm several years ago. The parts were very hard to find.
