Alex came out for the initial diagnostic and again to install a new control panel on our Thermador hood. After years of grease buildup the buttons didn't work consistently and it would randomly beep repeatedly. He texted with a 25 minute ETA and arrived at the beginning part of the service window. Took him less than 30 mins to swap out the panel and he even made a quick small fix on our dishwasher at no additional charge. Oleg and Sam did such an incredible job helping us with our subzero refrigerator... Alex had come out and tried to fix our 20 year-old refrigerator and he had done a great job. However we learned a little bit later that our motor was burnt out and we needed to either buy a new subzero or rebuild our existing refrigerator... Another great experience with Oleg's company. He scheduled me for a week out, since he refused to send someone who didn't have experience with the make of my fridge (Fisher & Paykel). He showed up on time and quickly fixed the problem causing the freezer to leak, including unclogging the clogged drain and melting the large quantity of ice that had built up behind the back panel of the freezer. He also came up with a simple fix for an issue preventing the door from closing correctly. Over the years, we have had a lot of repair people come to our home to fix problems, so we've become reasonably good at recognizing those who know what they are doing. With Oleg, it was immediately clear that he had seen our problem before and knew exactly what to do. A couple of circuit boards in our Monogram refrigerator had failed after a recent power failure (thanks, PG&E) and needed to be replaced. Oleg had some used replacement boards to serve as a temporary fix while we waited for new ones to arrive. As apartment managers, we have depended on AAA Appliance Repair now for over 10 years. Our preference is usually to repair versus replace and AAA understands that. They spend the extra time to diagnose the real issue and to suggest repairs that are reasonable. There's no gouging and no "it's 3 years old, just replace it, it's only $400" like some vendors. Replacing appliances comes with the extra cost in measuring, ordering, waiting, shipping, disposal of the old appliance, and the install of the new appliance. In my experience, the newer the appliance is, the less life span it will have so if they can repair my 4 year old GE dishwasher, I'd prefer that vs just dumping it in a landfill and starting over. They have helped us with refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ice makers and more. They are reliable, on time, and great communicators. You wont' be disappointed. And don't worry, if your appliance truly is on it's last leg and repairs don't make financial sense, they won't just try to sell you parts and labor. Update: AAA continues to be amazing. I called them again this time because my Samsung refrigerator (for the love of God don't buy any Samsung appliances.) started accumulating, ice and water in and under the vegetable crisper drawers. Although my children were overjoyed at the shortage of fresh produce in their diets, I was not happy with my frozen lettuce. Alex from Aaa showed up promptly, proceeded to look in the refrigerator asked a few questions and then gave me the bad news: the system would have to defrost for 24 hours before he would be able to fix it and even then it might still be broken beyond what was worth to repair if the fan was damaged by the ice buildup. He also told me chances were that the appliance had reached to the end of its lifespan, even if it could be revived in the short term it probably only had about six months to live . Then he said I could alternatively just defrost it for 36 hours myself, turn it on and see if the fan started up on its own. He also gave me excellent tips on some of my other appliances.... major points for being honest and straightforward and giving me extra info about how to keep my other appliances in good working condition! read more

I have a 7 year old GE range that would not stop clicking. Also, the big burner was not burning correctly. He set about and tried the stove while listening to my long winded explanation of my stove's maladies. Oleg said "it's the spark module" and proceeded to explain how it works with the burners and the gas nozzles. Started out as a bad experience, but I really appreciate that Michael and Oleg turned things around. I had a dryer that had been broken for weeks, and had already spoken to two repair guys who didn't have any idea or were incredible abrasive. Came to AAA Appliance repair based on a recommendation from a friend. The initial repair person that AAA sent didn't bother troubleshooting the machine and bizarrely blamed the apartment outlet as insufficient. After multiple conversations with my building, electricians, and Home Depot, it was clear that the outlet was working as intended and had no issues at 120/208v. In fact, the circuit breaker panel even showed 120/208 if he had checked. When I went back to the repair person about this, he said he could repair the control panel for the machine, but had no guarantees if it didn't work. Basically, he dismissed the fact that he had no idea and did not look at the machine. I communicated with Oleg and Michael, who were very responsive and immediately came out the next day with more senior technicians, who very thoughtfully looked at the control panel and looked at the machine and identified a small design flaw that would not require me purchasing a whole new machine or a new circuit panel piece. They were able to fix it within 15 to 20 minutes, no issues. And now the machine is working great again! They also offered helpful pointers on what they thought the issue was and recommendations for dryers in the future if I needed a replacement. A+ follow up from the company once I provided feedback.
