Emil was responsive from the start when I reached out via Yelp to see if he could fix our fridge. We have a Kenmore refrigerator with the two-door fridge above and the freezer below. Water was dripping in the back of the fridge and freezer. At the bottom of the freezer, the water becomes ice, but then there is no space left so water was slowly dripping out of the freezer and onto the floor. Emil coordinated a time with me via phone and came within a week of my initial outreach. His quote was also so reasonable (I was worried because a neighbor said she had the same problem and it was so expensive to repair the clogged drain in the fridge that they had to buy a whole new fridge!). When he came, Emil put on shoe covers then went about repairing the drain clog, and he also helped me figure out the extra condensation in the fridge. All in all, excellent experience: very responsive and easy to communicate with, reasonable price, total professional. And our fridge is fixed! I called A Plus Appliance about our Bertazzoni induction range; it was having issues with two burners not "bridging". Emil was extremely knowledgable and identified what the issue might be. There was also a LED light flickering inside our Miele fridge so I decided to ask him about it while he was there. Same thing - he knew right away what the issue was and the part required. My 20+ -year-old refrigerator was leaking badly from the freezer down into the fridge. Of course, this came to a head on a Sunday. On Tuesday afternoon, Omar from A Plus came to fix it. He did a fantastic job, carefully moving the fridge out from the wall (not a pretty sight back there!), removing accumulated ice from inside the back with his trusty heat "gun," and locating/replacing the failing thermostat that was causing the meltdown. He told me there was a 90% chance the fridge would be ok, and after a week without problems, that it should be fine. A week later, aside from the first morning with some water under the vegetable crisper, all is well! I am so happy I get to keep a fridge that keeps everything nice and cold instead of a shoddy new replacement. Thank you, Omar!! A Plus is Awesome. I highly recommend them. Had them in today to fix our dishwasher. All went well, took them about an hour. Unfortunately 2 minutes after they left, we noticed that the dishwasher's door was stuck and couldn't be closed. It was a bit difficult to get the technician back to finish the work but in the end they finished it the same day and I raised the review's score. Would still be a 5 star review, even with that problem, the work itself was spotless. Errors can happen, and if you own and fix them, that's rather something positive. That's where one star got lost. While the technician did a great job, the owner felt that he had to call me and force me to remove the review - 2 minutes after I had posted it and before he applied a fix. In his own words: "Why would we come back if you do not remove the review"? Well, that's one way to handle it, but that's not how you get 5 stars. read more

We just had our Bosch oven repaired by Nick at A Plus Appliance Repair. The entire process was exceptional from start to finish. The receptionist who answered the phone (don't use the appointment link on the website; just call) was professional, courteous, and efficient. I called Monday afternoon and had a service call scheduled for Wednesday morning. Nick arrived shortly after the 9:00 a.m. beginning of the two hour window. The issue was that once turned on the oven would not control the temperature and would just keep heating up no matter what the temperature was set to. We were so worried we'd have to replace the whole oven, but Nick was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes (most of that time was spent waiting for the oven to heat up so he could see what the issue was). The solution was to replace the control board (I think that's what it's called). He had the part in his car and was able to fix it within an hour. The cost was eminently reasonable, and Nick could not have been more professional or capable. read more

Our Bosch oven stopped working right before the holidays (registered error code e118 = cooling fan.) After New Year's we reached out to A Plus Appliance Repair and Emil responded very quickly with a quote to repair the oven. Scheduling the appointment was super easy. We had an appointment window of 5pm-7pm and Emil arrived promptly at 5pm. Took about an hour to complete the work and he tested our oven several times to make sure the replacement part worked. Unfortunately for me, the issue was a heat sensor, which is not cost effective to replace, so a new dryer is in order. I cannot thank Emil enough for coming out and addressing what nobody else would even acknowledge. We had two ailing ovens, a poorly installed dishwasher (twice), and a flaky downdraft. The ovens are 20 years old, so the other calls I made resulted in people turning the job down without even looking at them.
