My Wolf gas cooktop is over 20 years old, and I was having an ignition issue where all the igniters would click, but the burners would not light without a lighter. The igniters would also continue clicking after the burner was turned on. From the initial contact, communication was excellent. They responded quickly, offered same-day availability, and clearly explained their pricing upfront, including the $65 inspection fee that would be applied toward the repair. There were no surprises. The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and clearly explained what was causing the issue. I was concerned that, because of the age of the appliance, I might need to replace the entire cooktop. Instead, he was able to repair it and get everything working properly again. They were supposed to come out to look at my noisy fridge. They flaked on me last minute when they learned my building doesn't have dedicated parking. They didn't ask about parking specifics when booking the appointment. They never followed up to reschedule. I spoke with another repair person a few days later who advised me based on my description of the problem to buy a new fridge rather than pay for what would likely be a costly repair exceeding the value of the fridge. So when my water heater failed this past holiday weekend, I reached out to Sergii again. He was immediately responsive and offered to contact a plumber he trusted, Olexiy, who was able to go out the same day. Olexiy identified the real issue, a clogged flue elbow, and fixed it on the spot for a very reasonable price, saving the day and a perfectly good heater. This was after predatory Discount Plumbers tried to profit by turning our emergency into an unnecessary and absurdly prices $8,000 replacement (1-star review upcoming). My washing machine was overloaded (I can neither confirm nor deny that my gal put too many blankets in) and blew the transmission thus breaking my 5 year perpetual load of laundry streak. Needless to say this is a highly disruptive scenario so I set up a project on Yelp to get some local contacts and bids. GP reached out, a tad quicker than the others, and set up an appointment for the upcoming Monday (washer went down on the preceding Saturday). Sergii from GP came on time and quickly and efficiently diagnosed the issue (the aforementioned blown transmission). He was honest about repairs being possible but essentially just as costly as buying a new washer which I greatly appreciated. Although it was a quick service interaction I can say that I'll definitely continue to use GP going forward for all of my washer/dryer service needs (hopefully nothing catastrophic any time soon). I scheduled GP Appliance Repair to diagnose an ongoing problem with a 20 year old fridge/freezer. Although the evaporator fan was still running, it had seen better days and was running very slowly. Sergi ordered an OEM replacement and promptly returned to install it once the shipment arrived. Once that was replaced, an additional problem came up with the defrost system. I called Sergi again and he returned to replace the defrost system thermostat. The fridge/freezer is working as it should again now. Our 18 year old Bosch dishwasher decided to stop draining so I reached out to Sergii. He was very responsive via Yelp and I was able to schedule him to come out and do a diagnosis within 48 hours. It was determined that I needed a new drain pump which he ordered. He came back to install it within the week. The only weird issue was after we ran the dishwasher for a complete run, it made an AWFUL noise. We called Sergii and he came back. There was no obvious diagnosis of why this new noise happened, but the dishwasher seems to be working fine now. I'm hopeful this means that we have at least another 10 years with our dishwasher. Sergii was responsive, direct in his communication of the diagnosis and very knowledgeable with Bosch and Thermador appliances. I would definitely hire him again. read more
