True rest is a place I frequent once a month with friends. It's relaxing, the staff is friendly,…read moreand it feels so healing on my neck and shoulders and back. I highly recommend this place.

My first float was a bit of mixed reviews but I will say that their follow up customer service is…read moretop notch! I get super anxious trying out new things like this but I did all my research prior to going in so I felt somewhat comfortable. You watch a 30 minute lil video about the services prior to getting your tour & starting your float. A few issues right off the bat for me was at checking in I was immediately asked about my hair. There is explicit warnings posted everywhere about having recently colored hair you cannot float. I understand that my hair is red but you can also see that it is extremely faded & grown out. She immediately questioned me about my hair & when it was last colored, to which I replied it had been since October (this was May, way beyond the requirement), she proceeded to ask if my hair bled at all. It wasn't so much the questions which were a bit a nuisance but the manner in which she asked felt like I was being attacked. I'm then asked about my music choice & pointed to a laminated picture on the counter to choose from. Online & in the introduction video you watch it says that you can play your own music inside your pod with the provided cable. That is not an option anymore. I quickly panicked & chose what I thought sounded best. I will take accountability here under the pressure I did not read well enough that this particular playlist only plays for 30 minutes. We proceeded with the quick your & head to my pod room. The room was in need of a few small tile repairs & the rainforest shower head does not have good water pressure. She explains quickly how the pod works & then leaves me to begin. You shower first with the provide soaps & shampoo. Earplugs & Vaseline are provided, I had zero clue what the Vaseline was for but boy oh boy did I later find out! Once I got into the pod it's really nice, if your claustrophobic like I am you can leave the pod fully open (the room is motion censored lights & the room goes black) or you can choose different degrees of which it can stay open. With the earplugs in you don't hear the music very well but certain parts did get a little louder. Finally pushed past my anxiety in a nice relaxed state when the music stops. Ok I think the float is over so I proceed to get out & begin to shower. I felt like it was a very short experience when I grab my phone to see only 30 minutes had passed. Got back in to enjoy the remainder of the float which went by super fast due to re-acclimating to the pod. This time I hear the announcement that the float session is ending & to exit & shower. You're given 5 minutes to do this & being fresh outta the shower is hard to do. Make my way out to use the restroom where the provided hair dryer, deodorants & mists are but depending on bookings you're potentially getting out the same time as 4 other women like I did. First time floaters receive a complimentary 10 oxygen bar, which was ok. Not something I'd pay for. There's hot tea provided but after the heat in the pod a hot tea is the last thing I wanted. There was very minimal staff interaction with myself & the other ladies figuring out the beverages & finally got assistance with the oxygen bar. Checkout was better, had a different gal than who checked me in & she was SUPER SWEET! This is where I realized my mistake in the music & was told next time I can give them my playlist on Spotify & they can play it for you. Have it prepared though I did have issues with low connection to internet. Now to the Vaseline part... I had a severe reaction to the salt with my episiotomy site that was INCREDIBLY PAINFUL & took almost 2 weeks to heal! That's what the Vaseline is for! Also if you have any minor cuts. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED. I researched that on my own once leaving. The best part was the follow up call that I received almost a month later. I was able to give my experience & the gal felt so bad about my Vaseline experience that I was given another float at 1/2 off. Now knowing all of what to expect I am definitely looking forward to my next float & having a much better experience!!! All in all it is an amazing experience that I did receive pain relief from for about 3 days post float (aside from the episiotomy issue). 4 stars given for a somewhat chaotic first experience but positive 2nd float will be a 5 stars!
