I had a really disappointing experience at Apria's Henderson location on 4/7 around 3:40pm. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was not welcoming at all. When I told her I was there to return my husband's CPAP, she actually chuckled and responded with a very sarcastic tone, which felt completely unprofessional. It honestly seemed like she didn't want to be there or help anyone. As a patient/customer, you expect at least basic courtesy, especially in a healthcare-related setting. If you're going to work as a receptionist, attitude matters. If this is how you treat people, then maybe this job isn't the right fit. Really frustrating experience overall. read more

I'm trying to get my medical records from the horrible company. I dropped off a consent form twice in November and called several times, and the doctor still does not have the information. It's incredible how they do not have any record of me dropping off a consent form. The doctor's office has requested the information multiple times as well. Yep, you guessed it, still no records. Not sure after three years, the prescribing doctor has never seen me about how I'm receiving supplies, but this company seems to magically send them without a doctor's prescription month after month; though the supplies are right, I've come to believe that this is hopeless and I can't get away from it fast enough read more

Back in May I ordered a travel oxygen tank. Today I'm trying to order the same tank having issues. Communication is terrible. I paid $20.20 evidently it is for permanent tanks. Go through a different company if you can! When my insurance changed, I gave them my new insurance multiple times to make sure it was in network and no one said anything until AFTER I was billed $40 they kept calling and saying I owe but didn't say why. As respectfully as I can possibly say this, it is also hard to understand the agents over the phone so having someone tell me I owe money without explanation doesn't help. I spoke with an agent I was able to understand and they explained my insurance does not cover the equipment and I owe $40. I paid the money mo ths ago and thought that was it. Months later I get a bill saying I owe $164 and doesn't say why. The first agent hung up on me -I was calm on the phone and simply said I was confused about the billing- when I got to a different agent, I explained the issue once more and they said it's for the same bill from September. A bill from 5 months ago that they originally told me was $40 so now they changed the price and expect me to pay. This company is shady and untrustworthy. When you put an order in for equipment, it always says if there's a fee they will let you know and not ship it out until a payment is made, but that is a lie. They will ship it out making you think it's covered then wait months later to say you owe them money. read more

First, I got a letter in the mail that Apria would be sending me equipment and at no point did anyone reach out to discuss with me what all that would entail. I never signed the agreement they kept sending, and when I asked how to return to the equipment, they told me I have to drive 45 minutes to drop it off at their "local" office. When I inquired about who the supervisor was, the woman on the phone hung up on me. I would 110% choose to never work with Apria ever again. read more

I had an order faxed to them for new Cpap after seeing my doctor. I have a fax verification report with the date and all of the forms faxed to them as proof it was done This was after speaking to them to get the fax number and everything they needed. One week after fax, I called them to followup. I was told they didnt recieve the fax. My doctor sent a second fax. I called back the same day to see if they received it but couldnt speak to anyone. I had to leave a voicemail that time. (Mind you every time I call, I have to wait 10 - 20 minutes to speak to someone and sometimes they never answer) I never heard from anyone after 3 business days, so I called back again and after another 10 mimute wait I got another voicemail. I am still waiting to speak to someone. And to think I had recommended apria to my doctor because I had used them in my previous location. I thought Henderson would provide the same good service, however that has not been the case. I may have to go to another company soon- its been 3 weeks since the first phonecall to them. read more

I have had nothing but nightmare service with these a$$ clowns. Over a year ago I called for supplies. I was told they were referring me to a sleep clinician who was to contact me to set up an appointment. That never happened. I tried to order parts on my own via the "apria.com/papresupply link. The link would not work to order parts for the first time because I don't have a patient #...even though that's contrary to the brochure I'm holding right now. The woman ARGUED with me that Apria doesn't work that way, again...contradicting the brochure. So what to do when you're trying to order from a feeble company? I see answers from an Apria staff member here wanting more info, saying they want to help. Dude...beyond you, some people need to be fired and that's all there is to it. I placed an order several months ago for a CPAP kit. The kit included 4 mouth guards. After using the first 2, I found the other 2 were completely different and did not fit my headgear. I was not aware of this because the mouthguards come in sealed bags to prevent bacteria. I called he company to exchange the incorrect products and the customer service rep said I needed to call within 30 days of receipt to make an exchange. I said I did not open all the bags at once because it would have exposed them to bacteria -- they're sealed in bags for a reason. The rep simply reread the policy to me so I asked to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold and came back and said the supervisor would not speak to me. Don't do business with this company -- they're incompetent and do not care about their customers. read more

WHAT A JOKE! After 2 days of dealing with this company, I have been informed that Doreen, the representative that has been working on the order all morning, is new and has incorrect information. The process NEEDS TO START over. My husband is in need of a portable oxygen machine, pulse setting, so he can be taken to doctor appointments. Unable to breathe ON HIS OWN long enough to get into an automobile and get into the appointments and back home. This process has been ongoing for 2 days. He is in need of a transport chair to get him in the car and out of the car to go to the doctor appointments. The new person who has contacted me informed me that he needs a face-to-face in order to process the order for a transport chair. Therefore he needs to go back to the hospital so the doctor can write the order with the necessary documentation. Really... he should have never been released from the hospital after under going a complicated colon surgery without the necessary equipment to get him to and from his doctor appointments and home. Now we have no way to transport the man and keep him breathing. You have received the orders from the physician, get the equipment to the patient and move on! You should be ashamed of yourselves for your incompetinecy and life threatening tactics! read more

Apria durable equipment are not very professional. I was supposed to have a portable oxygen machine delivered to my home june 2nd but noone showed up. . Then they said i didn't have to be home they would leave it with a family member to educate them and my family members would show me how to use it. Then i called lastnite and she said that they came to my home june 2nd which is nit true .but noone showed up. I asked what time they supposedly came she said 5pm. But told me it would be delivered between 6pm and 9pm. Now they saying i have to go to the branch in rancho Cucamonga to get it so they can do a oximetry test on me which was done in my drs office just on Tuesday May 31st. Im 67 yrs old and dont drive far My caregiver cant take me cause I only have a certain amount of hours. Its a bunch of confusion with apria health care. I told her i will return from out of town on June 14th and asked could i make an appointment for that day. . Well now she sad she would have someone call me in 24 to 48 hours. Really apria. Glad im not dying and still can breathe. The purpose of getting the portable oxygen is so i can take it with me on my daily activities. Well dont know what will happen next in this ugly situation but i will see if someone calls me. This lady i spoke with said someone came to my house on yesterday june 2nd but noone was home. I then asked her what time they supposedly came she then said 5 pm but noone was home. But they told me that they would come between 6pm & 9pm. Someone is nit telling the truth. My dad died 6/9/2021. It took awhile for me to schedule a pickup for his durable equipment, so they charged me for it. They picked up the equipment in November, did not refund the charge for the equipment, then sent me another bill in January 2022 for equipment I didn't have and a patient who was no longer alive. Then I spent 30 minutes on hold (it should've been 15, but they hung up on me immediately after taking me off hold the first time, so I had to call again.) When he was alive, it was also impossible to schedule service for the equipment. They are scammers feeding off of the elderly and their families. So... a few days after I posted this, they sent me ANOTHER bill for even more money. A few days after they told me they would refund my money, they decided to charge me more instead... smh I called regarding the charges- they had denied the refund, did not notify me of this, and told me they denied it because THEY hadn't completed the necessary processes. I spent another half hour on the phone verifying more information (they needed a death certificate, but they didn't ask for it the last time...) and on hold as the customer service associate tried to figure out what was happening. I have had problems with Apria since almost day one. I have Medicare. Medicare has a number of requirements that must be met in order for them to pay for the C-PAP machine. In order for Apria to get paid they must first win a bid with Medicare. Medicare tells me that Apria did not win the bid when I was first signed up. Apria failed to tell me this. I went through the rigorous Medicare requirements. Apria drug their feet the whole way making me get letters more than once from my Doctor saying we had a face to face evaluation and that I needed the C-PAP machine. Apria failed to take my calls and/or call me back. After I passed all the requirement, Apria failed to pay Medicare and billed me instead for back rental. Medicare would not pay for the rental because Apria had not won the bid. The C-PAP was ineffective so I was told I needed the more advanced B-PAP machine. In the end Medicare paid Apria for the B-PAP Machine since by that time Apria had won the contract back with Medicare. Here is the rub, Apria is still trying to collect the months of C-PAP rental from me that they were not entitled to get from Medicare since they had no contract with Medicare at the time. Prior to giving me the rental machine, Apria required me to sign all new paperwork. They wanted me to backdate the original request and told me it was just a technicality. That is the part where it says that if Medicare does not pay the rental then I am responsible. They were in effect covering their butts. I will not pay the rental that Apria is fraudulently billing me for. Ever. read more

So my Mom got a couple of visits from these people and got a bill for less than $10.00 a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't been paid yet. I received a call threatening her with a collection agency. Seriously? I call and get someone who I assume was In Mumbai. Some jerk keeps interrupting me so I asked to speak to someone in the US. I get someone who refuses to let me speak to a Supervisor (they have no one in charge, yeah right) and when I advised her I would rip them on social media she threatened me that my call was being recorded and I let her know this was America and we have a thing called the FIRST Amendment. I rarely write reviews but this company has rightfully earned a one star review. If i can give them lower I would. Firstly, I always give companies a chance to correct errors and make things right. We are all humans and we are bound to make mistakes but this company is simply horrendous. My daughter has been in the NICU here in Vegas since October 3rd as she was born a preemie at 25 weeks while my wife was in a business trip. We currently live in Anaheim in southern California. She is now 3.5 months old and finally got approval to go home with oxygen 3 days ago. Case manager sent in the request for the oxygen on Thursday AM for Friday am delivery. Nothing came. Called and got the run around and about 3 calls and 4 hours later then said they didn't have any orders or anything... Resent evrything again and also personally called to make sure it's all good. They had all the details wrong so i had to correct it. The request clearly mentioned we needed enough portable oxygen for 2 days delivered to the hospital here in Vegas so we can get discharged and then drive home the next day and also schedule an in home install for when we get home to california. They supposedly fixed the details and got a promised delivery of Saturday morning by noon. Noon came around and nothing. Called again 3 times after getting run around and them telling me they can't find an account now! Finally got it sorted out again and they promised me a delivery Saturday by 3 pm. 3 pm came and once again..NOTHING At this point im asking for supervisors and managers which I did get a hold of and they promised me again that they would be there by 7 pm. As you probably guessed NOTHING AGAIN. Called and they said driver is backed up but in Vegas already and new timeline of 7 to 10 pm. I'm beyond mad but I need the air so I agree again. 10 came along and nothing. Like seriously what in the hell is going on now. Called furiously again and wasn't getting off line. Got a B.S. excuse they can't look up my account because it's under maintenance and that my order didn't exist. I said i wasn't getting off until I get it handled. The "manager" personally promised me she put a brand new order and would be there in 15 -20 minutes ... And you guess it. Nothing... At this point I left the hospital after being there for 14 hours waiting for them and wasting my 3rd day. My baby should have been discharged since Friday and now who knows when we will leave. Not only screwing our time but also taking valuable hospital space another sick baby could need that won't be able to until this worthless company does it's job. Tomorrow I am going in and letting the hospital take over again and see what they can do and if we can source another company. In conclusion, please stay away. These guys don't deserve to be in business and hope they are not for long. At this point I feel they kept promising times just to shut me up and mot actually doing anything. Absolutely terrible organization. Dropped a prescription off for a CPAP machine in January. Said that they would take care of getting the RX from the doctors office. Doctors office confirm that they faxed it twice to Apria. Fast forward six weeks and twp follow up calls to their offices only to be told that they don't have enough information to order the machine. Asked for a sleep study that they had been provided 15 years ago. Said they couldn't find it in their records and couldn't do anything without it. I asked why there was no outreach from them, no follow up and continue misinformation and the Lady on the phone could not explain. I would not recommend using them for any services. read more

They have the worst accounting department. For 4 months now I have been trying to get my bill straightened out. I started in January, called waited over 20 min on hold (is not unusual for them) spoke to a nice person who looked at everything. Assured me I don't have a past due balance and the account is current. February next statement past due balance again, back on the phone again. This person digs deeper and discovers I have 2 accounts and my payments are going to the wrong account. I am assured a this will be taken care of. March, guess what another bill with past due balance and keep paying. This is very stressing. On the phone, hold times etc. I am told the payments from the account not being used where not transferred to the current account. We go through things meticulously, to make sure I am sending to the current account etc. Again, she can see on her end that I am current with no past due. I am also told that a supervisor has to move the payments over to the current account and it will be taken care of. A little information: I have a recurring rental payment of $11. and change for cpap rental. So the past due bills have been for @$23. However, I keep paying and Apria's office keeps telling me I am current. Yesterday I received my April statement. Wow, WAS I SURPRISED $93 PAST DUE. THERE IS NO INDICATION ON THE STATEMENT HOW WE ARRIVED AT THAT AMOUNT. YOU CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW EXICITED I AM!!! I have been paying through my online bank Bill pay so I have a record of all the payments. Today I called again, just like the 3 previous months. After an extended time on hold finally got a person. She was starting to look into it, I was placed on hold then disconnected. I call back wait another 20+ minuets on hold to speak to a person, I ask to speak to a supervisor. After another 5 min on hold I am told, I can continue to hold or the supervisor will call me back. I chose the call back. After 4 hours pass I decide to call back again. Again 20+ minuets on hold, I get a person and just as I start to tell the story we get disconnected. I am glad I did not choose to hold for the supervisor as I am 6 1/2 hours now with no call back. You mail in payment, they choose not to process it for over a month, then it finally posts on your credit card statement, but it takes them 2 business weeks to post it to your account (so they say). Then they have their call center, FROM THE PHILIPPINES, harass you for payment, which has already been made. Since this is the only company the insurance says I can use (Anthem BCBS NV) I have no choice and will continue to use them. In addition, it took them three times to ship the correct supplies. They are the most incompetent organization I have EVER dealt with--worse than the Cable company--which we all know is bad. Am from Illinois and the company I used there was great. Six months ago, I had my doctor send a prescription to Apnea to get a new CPAP machine, as my old one was very old and dying. I was led to believe they were ordering a machine for me. I waited several weeks and finally called to get an update on my order. I was told my insurance would not cover a machine for me. When I asked why, the woman told me my sleep apnea wasn't bad enough to warrant a machine. I have been on CPAP therapy for almost twenty-five years and an ENT had written a prescription for my new machine. I phoned my insurance, and a rep told me that Apria had never called for approval. I told him what the woman had said, and he phoned her. She told him the same thing--that insurance would not approve me. Mind you, this was an insurance rep trying to tell her I needed the machine and it would be approved, but she was adamant. She had no intention of trying for approval for a CPAP for me because, I assume, in her wisdom as a company rep--not a doctor--I didn't need CPAP therapy. My insurance rep told me to phone Lincare. Today, I got my new machine. It took a while not only because of the "waiting for Apria" delay but because machines are in short supply currently. But Lincare never, ever questioned my need for a machine. It's interesting to see the reviews here for Apria are all negative. I heartily agree with the other reviewers. Pitiful company, pitiful service, and people could die while waiting and hoping that Apria cares. read more

Terrible Terrible experience. If you don't have high blood pressure you will get it when dealing with their process. No one will call you back to follow up on anything. It will just stay in a cue with the error and that will be it. I had surgery in my foot and needed a knee scooter. Had to use crutches for 3 weeks. I still do not have my knee scooter using Apria Healthcare. Hopefully my review will help someone use another service if they actually need their medical equipment in a timely manner. I probably spoke to 12 employees including 3 different supervisors in the span of 10 business days. read more

Totally Unbelievable......A healthcare company charging $100 to deliver a part especially being that your traveling and have been a customer for several years. They should do the right thing and deliver it for no charge. I called them to see if I could get them to waive the fee I was sure I would be able to get that accomplished and spoke to the branch manager and she was less than helpful and almost downright rude. Kept saying I am not trying to be difficult, oh yeah well than do the right thing and make it happen. Especially for someone who has been a customer for years. We never pay for delivery in Phoenix. She said the only thing we could do is pay the delivery charge or someone would need to come down to pick it up before 5. God awful!! we called Wednesday before our move on Saturday to arrange the moving of my Mom's hospital bed in sync with the non-emergency ambulance. we explained repeatedly it had to happen first thing Saturday morning as my mom has a history of a-fib, stroke and dementia and is totally bedridden. they kept saying we had to call back the day before to confirm. we called FIVE times Friday and asked to talk to a supervisor, still nothing. called all morning Saturday and no help. we ended up having to take apart their bed and move it late in the afternoon since my mom was in a empty house with her oxygen and caretaker. never got a call all weekend and now today they are blowing up our phone saying the driver is coming. did they think we left my mom in an empty house all weekend? criminal negligence and I will be reporting them to the insurance company as well read more
