When my son's tax return check came in several months following his death, Suncoast would not cash it, deposit it, hold it for 6 months, any of the suggestions I had, this after 3 trips to Suncoast after having the check reissued on their suggestion, yet they still would not accept it. I gave up on Suncoast and in a last ditch effort, ended up sending the check to my granddaughter (his daughter) in Knoxville who deposited it into her checking account by photo from home. No issues.

We came in…read moregenuinely interested in a truck, but right from the start the salesperson couldn't answer basic questions and kept saying "I don't know" or "I think." That's not reassuring when you're about to make a major purchase. Maybe know about the cars on your lot or at least be willing to go check the correct info. Things got worse when we spoke with the finance guy. He was extremely rude and dismissive. We asked a simple, reasonable question about whether the truck had been in an accident because there were visible scratches and damage. Instead of addressing the concern, he gave vague, sketchy answers and kept repeating that "insurance doesn't always report things." We understand that--but the point is we could physically SEE damage, which is why we were trying to ask about it and negotiate. At one point, he even told us we were "missing the point," which was both unprofessional and completely unnecessary. Another red flag was when he was scrolling through the truck's information extremely fast. When we asked him to go back so we could actually read it, he acted very weird and reluctant, which made it feel like he was hiding something. On top of all that, the overall attitude was just unfriendly and defensive. When we brought up other negative reviews, instead of addressing concerns professionally, we were asked why we were even there. That kind of response says a lot and we were actually only back there because the other place down the street (corner auto sales- who by the way were so friendly and professional) we went had sold the truck we liked. We ended up leaving and buying a truck elsewhere from a dealership that was transparent, helpful, and respectful. There are far better places in the area so save yourself the time and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

We were on an avenue where I could not use the cruise control so i checked braking, acceleration, turning and the A/C. I noted that the steering was a little harder than usual to turn the wheel. In negotiations with Sam the owner I asked for a reduction in price for the Cadillac SRX, He refused. I asked for a reduction in his $700 fee. He refused. At that point, i said to myself it's time to walk away. Then I thought no, you always make the wrong decision when you do that. So the $13,000 car became $15,000 after fees and taxes. I bought it. As I drove the car in the next couple of weeks I found that the cruise control doesn't work and the button that makes the seat conform to the owner's desired position didn't work. I'm short and the previous owner must have been very tall so I had to adjust the seat and mirrors every time I got in. I took the car to my friend at his auto repair shop in Tarpon Springs. He's a master mechanic. The cruise and wheel turning repair would be $500 and he disabled the seat position button. I also took note that the wheels were cruddy so I bought wheel covers for $118. I wish I had not bought the car. A week after buying it i got a notice of another SRX that was cheaper with low miles. BUYER BEWARE. I don't trust Sam and Carisma Auto.
