We signed up for this service. My husband decided that he would take care of any pest issues. We spoke with a lovely lady in customer service and she was able to figure out a way that we would not be charged any further for their services. Keep in mind these calls are "recorded" . However, we continue to receive a bill. I have spoken with this company several times to correct this issues. It is really interesting that Sheldon was able to pull up a previous conversation last year and repeat almost word for word what was said. However, with the conversation that took place in Feburary that specifically stated that we did not owe anything, he was very vague and could not specifically repeat what was said on the call. I feel that honesty is not one of this company's core values. We were very disappointed with the quality of customer service and will not recommend this company to anyone. read more

A representative from Aptive (Andre?) showed up at my door, which has a "no soliciting" sign prominently displayed in the center of my door, talked at me without a mask covering his mouth and nose, and proceeded to try the old exterminator line of "we are working with your neighbors, and noticed a systemic bug problem that we can cut you a deal on." I said, no thanks, and even pointed to the "no soliciting" sign displayed on my door. Rather than leave, he *still* tried to sell me, which forced me to slam the door in his face mid-sentence. If you have that little respect for my property, my safety, and my parameters, I am certainly not going to trust you to come onto the premises with toxic chemicals. If I need pest control services in the future, I will definitely not be using these guys, and would caution others to do the same. read more

Just read your defense for having your sales people knock on doors with NO SOLICITING signs. You are based in Utah so the door knocking strategy is probably a Mormon thing. Well, after they did the service once there were more spiders outside our house and little bugs at almost all windowsills, even on the ceiling and walls inside. My service pro today was AMAZING! John really went above and beyond to locate the rodent that had untimely passed on my property. After searching through the crawl space and checking around my furnace, he was able to pinpoint it somewhere around my freezer or cabinets in the garage. Initially we thought it might have crawled under my cabinets, so John was attempting to unscrew the cabinets to try and find it. But as soon as we moved my freezer we realized the rodent had died under it. So John screwed my cabinets back to the wall, took off the side panel of my freezer, and was able to dispose of what turned out to be a rat! Thank you so much John! This was our first treatment with Aptive. John and his partner, Fred, arrived and explained what the treatment session was going to entail. They were cordial, polite, and professional. The sales rep, Chayden, was excellent as well. As far as the efficacy of the treatment, we'll have to wait and see, but I'm very optimistic with the gaurantee that I could call them back at any time, between quarterly treatments to respray areas if need be. So far, 5 stars for professionalism, but I'm giving 4 stars now, only because it's too soon to judge efficacy. read more

Aptive has been very accommodating. We've had a spider issue that's only been getting worse as the summer continues. Aptive has come back twice at no extra cost to get the critters. I've been an Aptive customer since 2018. The first three years I was really pleased with the service and then for the last couple years things go weird. I was told to schedule anything I had to use an app that never worked, so the only alternative was to sit on hold for 10 plus minutes waiting to get someone in a call center to help me. Then I was assigned an account manager who never answered the phone and rarely answered texts. Once I got an email from him. Then, instead of the quarterly service that I signed up for, they were suddenly scheduling every other month. Sometimes cancelling at the last minute, sometimes cancelling for days I hadn't even signed up for. I called today and found out that I don't actually have a contract, so there aren't any terms to my service. So pretty much, they can do whatever they want, and charge me whenever because I'm not under a contract. None of this was disclosed to me at any time. I can't even access "terms and services" on my account page on their website because its greyed out. The whole system feels very bait and switch now so I cancelled my account. This is no disrespect to the technicians who have all been absolutely professional and wonderful to work with. My review only reflects the business practices of the higher ups. read more

Buyer Beware! This is a bad company. 1) they go into areas that have "No Soliciting" rules and bother residents. They are very aggressive and visit homes more than once, not taking "no" for an answer 2) Their billing is suspect, they charge for things not requested by customer. Watch out! Be careful. 1st/Initial pest control treatment on our new 1 1/2 year old home! Excited to get rid of the extra litter critters that aren't legally a part of our family! :) I'm trying to check-in since my rep is here, but it's not allowing me to since it's the HQs. So I'll just start my post. My appt time slot is/was from 10-12. Unfortunately, living in a new development, some people get lost and normally call. My rep lost Reception somewhere along the way and only has/had very few details, only my name & address. He got lost and arrived at 1024. Supposedly he didn't have notes from the original deal closing guy and needed to know what he needs/needed to do. Of course with it being my initial, I want everything in & outside sprayed. I'm not sure if it's normal or not to need water added to their solution, but that was another need. I'm staying optimistic, as I always try to do & be. Well, my service Rep, Nakia, is already done (maybe a 10min job, compared to the 45mins the closing guy told me). I was his 1st appt today, but you wouldn't be able to tell since he came ready to get dirtier. :) He explain to both me and my, who I had on the phone, everything he was doing/did & the affects it will have to control the situation of bugs. He let me know he did a dust for the bees & wasp and was surprised we didn't have an to knock down, compared to other homes. That of course was done by my hubby & tall son. :) He also did a layer on our kitchen counter tiles. It looks as if he did only one side of my stove. I would have preferred the floor corners than to catch bugs on top where I put my food. :( All in all, it was quickly done and we'll see what happens over the next few weeks. I really hope it all works out because the special price is really too good to be true. The original tech came to my door, right on time, since I was preparing to start calling around. I did call another place, but they didn't have a package deal for initial and/or quarterly and the price was almost double the special I was offered. Plus that high price was for every visit and not locked in stone since the tech can say more/different products were used, that were more expensive than normal, basic products used. Crossing my fingers for outstanding results and a big free zone for my family, which includes our pet babies (2x cats babies (almost 1 1/2yrs old) & 1x Guinea pig baby (almost 2yrs old)). read more

I can't speak to this company's services, but I can to their salespeople. I have a no soliciting sign posted RIGHT AT MY DOORBELL. But apparently the (very rude and aggressive) salesman who rang my doorbell to wake up my two sleeping kids "didn't see it". It seems that he must have no sight for such signs, as MUTLIPLE people through my neighborhood has the same thing happen. He went through the neighborhood ringing bells of people who have home offices with signs stating how important it is that the bell not ring and ringing the bell multiple times when people didn't come to the door. It is borderline harrassment. After speaking to somebody at Aptive, they assured me that they do training to avoid situations just like this. However, to me, it seems like they must train people to be overly aggressive and to ignore signage asking them not to come to the door. If a business operates like this when attempting to get customers, I can imagine how awful they must be to existing customers. I will NEVER support a company that decides harrassment is the best method for getting a customer; and I will be sure to spread the word until they stop. Unfortunately, they have been coming to this neighborhood for awhile and are notorious around here, but apparently that is the reputation they're going for! read more

To be fair we signed on initially to get a wasp nest removed and they did that. However, their subscription plan is a scam. I called today to get tomorrow's visit moved since our yard and street are covered in snow and it would be pointless to spray chemicals that will sit on the snow and wash away after. Aptive refuses to push back visits beyond the month they are scheduled. I asked why and was met with silence, then she said we are on a schedule once every 3 months so they can't schedule it past the month. I ask why and was met with silence, then she said her manager told her they can't push it back past the month. I asked if we can cancel it, but that would be a $159 fee. I ask that they set it up to be cancelled after the last required visit, and they refuse. This company is selling make-work that doesn't add any value to the customer, and is set up to force it down your throat once you're locked in a contract. read more

A guy from this company came by my home yesterday while I was out and was extremely rude to my husband's sister who is visiting us. He knocked and rang the bell aggressively, looked past her and inside the house and made a comment about what he saw, and started on a whole guilt trip about how several of our neighbors (funny he couldn't say who) had already been receiving services and we were ruining it for everyone if we didn't sign up. Then when she explained that she was not the homeowner he very rudely said, "well go get them." Not, "do you know when they will be home?" Or "can I leave my card?" This is the worst company ever!!! Their billing is awful! I was ripped off so bad, BUT ENDED UP GOOD. The last visit happened then I call to cancel and was told just 2 more!! Are you kidding me! After speaking to cooperate manager Kim explaining all my previous calls and what I was promised she finally found the notes and honored my cancel with no extra fees request. They were wearing no masks, and totally unprofessional trying to step inside my home to show me his tablet. We have a no soliciting sign outside and they completely disregarded that. Rude sales people representing this company came to our door yesterday and disregarded our no soliciting sign. We have a new rescue dog with some issues and we put the sign out so door to door people wouldn't ring or knock and upset him. He peels out and scratches our hardwood floors and gets worked up. They were knocking for a good few mins. I finally went to the door and they didn't care that they had ignored the sign and went ahead with their sales pitch. Very pushy and didn't want to take no for an answer. We already use Modern Pest control and are very happy. Would never recommend this company because of their sales tactics. read more

We had the same experience that many others described. The guy shows up on a Segway....his second visit. I answered the door not realizing he'd been here only the week prior. My husband then came to the door and said, " you've been here before and I told you we were already customers of Insight and are not interested". He completely ignored what my husband said and continued working his sales pitch. " Claimed they would do much more than Insight for less money per quarter, and wouldn't charge extra for call backs in between the quarterly visits. Aptive needs to retrain their aggressive sales people. Even if they were a 5 star company, we wouldn't sign on because of their sales tactics. I can only guess that many succumb because of their aggressive pitches. The rep didn't walk away immediately when told " we're not interested" ....he just kept talking. I'm thinking of my parents? They're Senior Citizens that would be totally intimidated by Aptive sales tactics...maybe that's one of their ways to get people to sign up????? BE AWARE!!!! read more

I have to say I'm disappointed in the customer service I get from Aptive. When I scheduled this (out of cycle) appt because we still have ants, they gave me a four-hour arrival window. They told me if I called the day before the appt, when the schedule was determined, they would be able to narrow the window to two hours. They also said they would text me 60 minutes before the visit. When I called the day before the visit, they could not give me a two-hour window and could only stick with the original four-hour window (1pm to 5pm). At 5pm on the day of the service, I had not received a text, nor was anyone at my house for the service. I called the office (call #1) and was told it would be 35 to 45 minutes. At 5:15 I got a text saying they'd be here in an hour. At 6:15 they had not arrived and I called the office (call #2) and was on hold for 13 minutes only to be required to leave a message. I called right back (call #3) and one minute into the hold was disconnected. At 6:29 I called again (call #4) and one minute in the call, the service guy showed up at the door. He performed the service pretty promptly and never acknowledged that he was at all late. I told him I understood that schedules can get messed up and things take longer than expected and he was showing up at 6:30 for a 1-5 window and an apology would have been good customer service. Aptive offers a screaming deal up front to lure you in and the follow through is pretty crappy. read more

I am very pleased with the service I'm receiving from Aptive. They came out to do my quarterly maintenance a week or two ago and sprayed a wasp's nest. The wasps didn't go away completely. The technician, Chris, has come out twice now. While you might think that's bad, I don't think it is given what Chris explained to me. Chris came out again this morning. This time he came out in the morning versus the afternoon. He explained that wasps typically are dormant and in the nest in the mornings so hopefully this will be it. Chris is very knowledgeable, helpful and explained everything great. Excellent customer service. I really appreciate Chris and Aptive and would highly recommend them. I should also say that these return visits have been no charge as it's a part of their normal maintenance service. read more

Our main problem is spiders and their treatment seems to do nothing. Also their appointment system is lame - they give you 4 hour windows which is inconvenient. Today I headed home for a 12-4 window. I worked with both Travis and Joe today and was highly impressed with their level of customer service. After many failed attempts with other exterminators, I finally found a company to completely remove a very large wasp nest in my garage. I am extremely satisfied and I am looking forward to continuing Aptive as a permanent solution to my wasp and pest issue. :) They get the job done, and unlike other exterminators, they actually provide consistent follow-through with quarterly (and as-needed) treatments. read more

The Aptive team was amazing!!!! We had a wasp nest on a difficult hillside location near our deck and house. They dived right in to find the nest and destroy it. The wasps had been harassing and stinging us (because the nest was close to our activity areas), and we are so relieved that it is gone. We thought it might be "too hard." Thank you so much!! Sales person from aptive rolled up to my house in a Segway. My security cameras caught him knocking on my front door for 3 minutes. The whole time my poor dogs were barking inside. I have a no soliciting sign. That means I don't want whatever it is you are trying to sell me. A few days later, this same guy comes back, rings my doorbell. I ask him what he wants and he says he is "offering" us pest control. I point to purchase no soliciting sign and tell him to leave. He waves his hand and the sign, pulls out his tablet and starts telling me about the services he is offering. I had to tell him that I was calling the police if he didn't get off my property. read more

Rude salesman came to our door and wouldn't stop talking. Said other neighbors had signed up with Active which I know is not true. BTW, this is the second time a rude person from this company has come going door to door in our neighborhood. Told this guy and the other one we are not interested, but he kept talking. Told him I do not have time to talk to him ( dinner cooking) and he kept talking. Finally just went in the house and closed the door. The tactics this company uses sounds like desperation to me. And, I don't think they are trustworthy. I find sales tactics like this very annoying. Called the company today to report him (not that they care), and told them not to come around again.
