I've had a never ending stream of ants in my kitchen. Jeff from Aptive came out and put out gel to get rid of them. At first there were quite a few crawling on my counter, but then they slowed down and started dying off in the gel. now my counters are clear again and it looks like the gel is disintegrating the ants! so nice not seeing the little buggers! Jeff was pleasant and very knowledgeable. I've been a customer for several years and will continue with them for as long as I can. my bug problem has decreased tremendously! read more

This place tries to scam its customers. I fulfilled my year contract and they virtually kept my subscription hostage until I threatened legal action. I called before the end of my contract and they said I had to wait until my contract was up. Then I called when it was up and they refused to close my account twice. Wow not surprised that the reviews are so bad. This company is awful. Treatments do not work at all. The second treatment, their services tech didn't apply all of the areas he was supposed to . They will keep sending people back and results are still the same. Once tech could not even identify one of my indoor pests. Put out flypaper traps I could have bought myself at Home Depot. These are about the company, in general. Only a few are about the girl who bent my sign. They are very aggressive. I closed my garage door on the guy. Had a male teenager come up through my gated driveway trying to sell the same thing. She (the sign bender) told my husband she could beat our son's price and he does it for free. We got a visit at 8:45pm. Thought it was a bit late to be making the rounds. She (sign bender) rang ours yesterday. Also have no soliciting signs. Had a teenager stop by. Rang the doorbell and then opened the screen door to knock. While bending signs may not be part of the training these kids are aggressive. Someone is telling them to get a sale no matter the tactics. SCAMMERS!!!! I had one of the sales people showed up at my house at 9 pm at night. He was very persistent and I agreed to do one time treatment for $40 just to get a rid of this guy. A few weeks later I received a text message about my next appointment with Aptive and was charged $99. I called them and told them that I don't need any treatments it was one time thing. They said that I had signed the two year agreement and if I want to cancel it I have to pay $199. I was shocked. The sales person who showed up at my door had forged the documents which is illegal. They refused to cancel the contract and kept sending messages about next appointment. I did report on them to the police and filed a complaint with better business bureau. This is a criminal practice that needs to be stopped. If you got scammed like me report to the police. read more

Salesman sold us the premium pest control package for our homes indoor, exterior, and lawn at a monthly cost of $140 which could be canceled after 3 applications. The pest control was supposed to eliminate spiders, wasps, ants, stink bugs, earwigs, silverfish, and mice which were our main concerns. After 5 applications we still had ants, spiders and found mice droppings. Three of the services the tech did not come inside. One guy sat in the truck the whole time on his phone. Two of the services they were done in 15 minutes. We called to cancel and they would not allow it on the first call, I had to call a second time and talk to 3 different people and was told we would be change $199 for cancelation, plus they charged us for a service that was never done. Is there an option for ZERO STARS!? I would advise everyone NOT to use this company and absolutely do NOT pay for a one time service of any kind. They "do not warranty or guarantee their work" (verbatim) "for customers that pay for a one time service". No where in a contract or signatures does it state that. I paid to have a service completed, that was not completed. When I called Customer service to have them return and finish the job, they gave a a ring around for a week and refused to complete it. It was only two day later that all the hornets re-built their nest, which is what happens when they are not fully treated and removed. The kicker is they actually swung the conversation to make it seem like I was "unhappy with the completed service " when in fact they never completed it to begin with. They even kept trying to get me to pay for a new service all over again, to have the hive removed that I already paid for!! I now have to dispute the charge to my CC company. I was working from home and I get a knock on the door from one of their sales rep, he explained to me this would be a monthly service and I can cancele anytime. I used to be with Orkin, but the salesperson continued to lowery rhetoric prices until it was very low compared to Orkin and promised to do better job. 5 months later, I went to cancel the service as I no longer needed it in winter, the customer service told me I have to pay termination fee $200 and that I had been signed up for 24 months membership with them. The salesperson never explained to me I was signing up for a membership and I was too busy wooing from home and between meetings to read every page. Take my word, avoid them as all costs. I have been trying to resolve this issue with them for 5 months now as they continue to bill me for services even though I continue to not allow the technician to perform the monthly services. I made absolutely clear to the guy at my door that I did not want any ongoing service, that I would not sign a contract/agreement, and that I would pay him for a one-time application if that is available. He agree and I gave him a check for $50. I didn't sign ANYTHING except my check. Besides cashing my check, somehow they took $125 from my checking account, which I had my bank reverse. They are obviously guilty of fraud and continue to badger me with texts claiming I owe them money. This company must be shut down. read more

If I could give a ZERO i would. There is this very rude & lippy Sales Person at the door. When I asked him to leave he would not get off of my property. When he finally did after yelling at me he kept rolling by my house and waiving at me from the sidewalk directly in front of my house. He made all of my neighbors uncomfortable so much so that one of them called the police. When my husband called to let the company know they did not care! I have called the police and I will be lodging a formal complaint against this sales boy. I would never use a company that condones this kind of behavior. The salesman was very pushy and would not take no for an answer. He said he would match the agreement I had with another company which was $99 an application. I wasn't checking my credit card and finally noticed that they charged me $99 for the first application, but $139 for the next 4 applications. I called today and first was told that they would lower the last application to $99. I requested a refund for all 4 applications that were charged at $139. She said she would check with the manager. Instead of her coming back to the phone the manager got on the phone. First I had to give her my address again. She would not give me a refund and when I asked her to cancel the service she stated that there would be have a $199 cancellation fee, because I only had 5 of the 6 treatments. Why would I cancel for $199 when one more treatment is $139 which should be $99. We got the service to get rid of ticks, wasps, and stink bugs. There service did not eliminate either. The dogs still got ticks. We still had wasps stink bugs getting into the house. Signed up right after moving in because we had some crazy spider issues and I wanted to get it taken care of immediately instead of waiting to get my former post control set up/transfered to my new address. I was overwhelmed and just needed one easy thing. Was told by the guy who signed me up that the $199 cancelation fee was waived as long as i used at least $250 worth of the services so i could cancel with no penalty after just a couple months. Fast forward to 7 months later and I call to cancel and basically the kid that signed my up lied and I'm stuck until may or I have to pay the $199 cancelation fee. Absolutely no recourse. They magically dropped the fee per service to $79 from $139 though so if you're going to sign up keep pushing for cheaper. Service was OK but I preferred Fox Pest Control. I hope you find this before EVER signing up for a service contract with Aptive. The sales pitch and service plan have small print details. Initial payment was $50 for May. June was $158. July was $158. I have paid $365 for approx. 15 minutes of service at my home and approx. $20 for the pest control spray product. Now, it's $200 for a Service Cancellation fee. There's a reason for this.... the company knows eventually customers will find out the service they provide is pointless, unless you can't physically spray bug spray on your own property. If you don't read their fine print on the service contract, which they hope you DON'T read it carefully, you will be locked in for at least $600 in total payments. I was lead to believe that their monthly service was $50/mo. It is NOT. I was lead to believe there would be (1) charge of $150 for continuing service past 3 months. Wrong!! $158/mo. is RIDICULOUS for a 5 minute visit from one of their employees. Please realize their services are NOT worth $158/mo. At my home, 5 minutes of applying a quarter-gallon of pest control spray, is NOT even worth $50 per visit. Also take note, if you experience rain within a few hours after they spray your property, it defeats the entire purpose of them being there, and is a waste of your money. read more

A young salesman just came to my door and WOULD NOT LEAVE. I told him at least 4 to 5 times that I was not interested. He was very persistent, refusing to take "no" for an answer. I told him I had small children inside napping while my dogs were barking at him the entire time. He would not get off my porch despite telling him repeatedly to do so. It got to the point that I told him if he did not get off of my porch, I'd let my dogs out. He smiled creepily and said, "Go ahead, I love dogs". I counted to 3, and he finally stepped off the porch but stared at me from the base of the steps with the same creepy smile. I told him to leave again, to which he replied, "I'm off the steps" while continuing to stare at me. He still would not leave my property. I then swore at him and told him to leave my property now or else. He then got on his little scooter and said, "Wow, they were right about you". I've been using Aptive for awhile now and have been very happy with their service -- the service folks come out and do a great job. But. They REQUIRE you to store your credit card information on their servers. They "upgraded" their online app awhile ago (after I had started with them) and removed the ability to make one-time payments. If this isn't an issue for you, then these guys are great. I personally make one-time payments for all my services, keeping my financial data away from hackable servers as much as possible. Given the data breaches worldwide, my credit card data stays on my phone. read more

I called to request a one-time application to remove wasp nests and ants. The rep told me that they had a special, but to get that special, I needed to agree to 12 months' service, and I could cancel it within three days. I was told by the phone sales rep to just sign and then send an email to cancel right away. They missed the wasp nests, the ants are back in force - the service they provided was not completed.When the rep came here, he told me to go inside so he could apply the "dust" to the entire house so that wasps would not build again. He did not. I have wasps coming back. I have more ants. They did not complete the job. My daughter was outside and watched and he never did this. I now have wasps back on my house trying to nest. When I called to have them come back to complete the job. They stated that since I had cancelled it, they would not uphold the first one-time service, even though they did NOT complete the job. When I was on hold with the rep for her to talk to her manager, she failed to mute the conversation. It was in a foreign language, and then the rep misrepresented my case to the manager. They confirmed that they were based in South Africa. I don't have a problem with that but don't slam your customers and allow them to listen to this conversation while they are on the call. They were very disrespectful. Amo was the manager I spoke to and she stated that because I cancelled the monthly plan, they would not complete the first service I had asked for and paid for and expected as part of the service I was told was being provided. The tech told me to go into the house so I would not be affected by the dusting for the wasps. In the house, the tech did not attend to any other rooms except the kitchen, but did very little there, and now there are more ants than before. When I asked if they could come back and complete the job they refused because I turned down the monthly plan and cancelled it. This is a fraudulent way to do business. I was told by their rep to do the first time service and if I did not want the monthly plan to just cancel it within three days. The rep signed me up for the monthly plan anyway because he wanted to record the sale as part of his quota. I asked him not to. He said don't worry, just sign the paperwork at the service call and send in an email to cancel right after. Horrible business practice. Dishonest and poorly trained sales reps. I hope that WI people read this and know that 1) do your homework on this company - they have several ongoing lawsuits 2) do not sign a monthly contract at all and 2) know if you have a service call and have issues or they don't complete the job, they don't come back unless you have signed a one or two year monthly agreement. They do a poor job if they know you are cancelling it ( half a job really) and then refuse to come back because you cancelled the monthly plan. They do not honor an incomplete service call - they are cutting corners at the consumers' expense. It's poor business practice. Honestly, I wish I had read the reviews here, on Google, and BBB. They locked me in an 18 month contract, and charge me $169 every 4-6 weeks, and I can't cancel even tho their service sucks. They tell me that they will arrive between 8am and 8pm, and only give me a 10-15 min heads up. If I'm not home they can't treat the inside but still charge the full price. Then they say if I see bugs I can call and they will come back, but if I see bugs within three weeks they say that the product hasn't taken effect yet, and I need to wait until the three weeks are over. If I still see bugs after three weeks then it's only 1 week out from my 4-6 week appointment so they will just schedule my next appointment and charge me again. And there's nothing I can do because they tell me that I'm in an 18 month contract. I highly recommend to run the other direction if they show up at your door with their sales tactics. read more

Please read mine it has been a horrible experience with this company. Signed a contract with Kaleb to have my yard sprayed for pests. Technician came to the house to spray. When he sprayed our grass he did not dilute the chemicals correctly. Later confirmed over the phone a couple days later with there pest expert Yonathan. You can see in the pictures they killed the grass in places and created yard rust on the yard all this happened within 2 to 3 days of spraying. I called to complain and cancel the service which was within the allotted time in the contract. I was assured by Yonathan I had cancelled and no fee would be assessed. He assured me the contract was cancelled. Fast forward a month and half later, this week I received an email to schedule another spraying. I immediate sent a message I had cancelled the contract. Found out Yonathan never cancelled the contract and now I owe a $199 cancellation fee. I am so upset with this company it is worth it to pay the fee and say good bye to this situation. read more

Awful service. Called for a service/ regular appointment. I had a wasp issue at my front door. Informed the company that there was a wasp nest that needed to be addressed. The service agent came with a feather duster. When he saw the wasps, he walked away. Got a huge run around with customer service and they still charged me after saying they would not. I personally used a shopvac and killed at least 800 wasps after they were here with a feather duster.I was a customer for 6 yrs.
