The only reason not to give 5 stars is how really expensive this type of service is, but I believe that's just the way it is. They answer the phone That's a great idea. Exterminating a live wasp nest near our front door is not a service we are looking for frequently, so we had questions. We did not want to fill out a form and wait another day or more to get a call back. On that phone call she explained free inspection, how the job would be quoted, that the service could be completed at the time of the inspection if we agreed to the price, and scheduled an appointment for the following morning. Technician arrived a bit early after texting. Quoted the price - it's expensive! Suited up and eradicated the nest. Extremely professional. Competitors want you to wait an hour for a live chat or fill out an on line form. read more

We had a good experience with this business to get rid of mice. The customer service was good and the techs are friendly and knowledgeable so they get a 5 in that category. We had an issue once with the person showing up early (during my virtual meeting) but they politely offered to return later. My only real complaint is the single high price point up front because they only needed to come back a few brief times after the initial visit. I believe it's worth it if you have a major infestation (they'll return as much as needed) but the cost of labor/product in our specific case just didn't seem to add up to the amount we paid. read more

Nice people but a guy came to my house yesterday from this company and rang my doorbell, directly under the bell is a no soliciting sign he ignored. Was on a conference call with my manager and dogs began to bark. I opened the door, asked him if he noticed the sign and basically stated most homes have them and they don't pay attention to them. In my town you need a permit to door knock which he did not have. I called the police and they arrived minutes later. I really didn't want to get anyone in trouble, but quite annoyed when he said that they don't pay attention to no soliciting signs. What else are we to do if we work from home and have animals that bark. We need others to be respectful and if we do have a sign that says no soliciting, that's exactly what it means. read more

Great professional company! Peter was very professional and I definitely will be calling him/Ecoguard if I ever need exterminator services again. He is very knowledgeable and the communication was excellent. I had a wasp's nest I urgently needed to get rid of on my patio. He was very prompt and was glad to educate me while he was here. He did a very thorough job to treat areas so I wouldn't be seeing wasps again as part of their service. He followed up the next day as promised. I would highly recommend this company for pest control. They were the only company I called that were open and willing to come out the same day and it was on a Saturday. I had a wasp problem. The wasps were coming into my house through my exhaust vent in the bathroom. Pete came to our house and knew just what to do. He took care of our problem in a timely fashion and he was very informative about this problem. He took care of it and checked other areas of our home and took care of that as well! Peter was really great! I was surprised with an infestation that put me into a panic attack. He responded quickly, talking me through what I needed to do, and arranged to come out the next day--the Sunday before Thanksgiving nonetheless! When he arrived, he talked me through the entire procedure,his eco safe products, how they work, as well as his success rate with this type of infestation (which had been 100% for all of 2018 by that point), when all of his post spraying directions are followed for two weeks until he returned for a follow up. He was very patient and friendly though my mind was still in panic mode. I was able to text or message him anytime with questions (which I did once my mind was able to calm down and think more clearly). I actually emailed him an entire list of 10-12 questions that I thought of a couple days later; and he answered each one thoroughly to assuage my concerns. We easily texted to schedule the 2nd appointment exactly 2 weeks later, which was a much quicker follow-up spraying. Once again, he made sure to explain how the product works, etc., and answer all of my questions patiently. I would definitely recommend Peter & his team (though I hope I never have to use them again, lol!). We just had our home spreads for carpenter ants, and using a non toxic agent was important to us and our kitties. Scheduling service was quick and easy, and Peter was a friendly and professional technician. He provided tons of education throughout the inspection and treatment. 3 years ago I thought this company was great and responsive, but their business etiquette has definitely faltered. They increased prices and lessened their service. They use to spray in and out of my house, now they only spray outside at a higher price. Last straw was in June when I know they did not do a thorough spray. I notified the team I would not be home and they said it would be fine. I have a Ring Doorbell and saw the gentlemen who came was here for no more than 10 minutes and two of those minutes was him continuing the ring the doorbell even though I said no one would be home. Normally when they spray, I hear them spray the window eaves. I actually did have a friend who was here dog sitting, but per my instructions, she did not answer the door. She also noted she did not hear any spraying. June-September, wolf spiders invaded my garage and house. I actually have videos on my phone from spiders setting off the Ring Doorbell camera. I did not bother to contact EcoGuard because I already knew I would move forward with a new company due to the price hikes and the poor "10 min" job I received that code me nearly $200. This review is for anyone looking for pest control service... stay away from this one! read more

We worked with Peter in the past to help with a mice problem after we moved in to our new house. He continuously followed up until our issue was remedied and gave us a warranty for future issues with mice. Fast forward a year and we had an issue with carpenter ants. We let Peter know about our issue and what we did to control it. He came by our house checked everything out and let us know whatever we did to treat it probably fixed the problem. He did not charge us for this - the company is more focused on long term relationships and reputation than getting a quick buck. Would recommend to anyone read more

Had them come out because my kids complained about bugs and spiders manifestation in their bedrooms but basement was especially hijacked. My son in particular was annoyed by them since he lives in the basement like most teenagers now do, so I had no choice but to call for help. EcoGuard came out on time, laid out all the options and made me very informative which is why I gave them a go ahead. They sprayed inside and outside pretty much wherever they needed to spray and so far so good, don't see any bugs anymore. EcoGuard responded quickly (within 24 hours) to my initial call about a late-season hornets' nest. Given chilly weather and other factors, eradicating the nest on the first try was challenging, so EcoGuard came back and retreated until they were confident that the hornets were gone. They went above and beyond by following up a few days later to make sure that no hornets had entered my home, actually coming back and checking my attic space. They were helpful, reliable, timely, and great at communicating. So so glad I found EcoGuard! With these guys now on speed-dial, I'll have no more pest anxiety. read more

We had our house sealed for scorpions a few years ago, but recently add found some scorpions inside and did not know where they had come from. I started seeing mouse droppings in my townhouse and after trying to solve the issue myself unsuccessfully called EcoGuard. They were very responsive and were out immediately. David was professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable as he walked me through the process of taking care of the nasty rodents. As they were being caught, after a thorough trap-out, David and Matt continued their professionalism and quick response time in returning to my home. No one wants these nasty mice in their home, it's terrible, but they did a great job in helping me too deal with the issue and being able to rest assured it will be taken care of.
