Everything once done requires immediate payment and anything wrong is a "warranty issue" per one of the owner and will be fixed "soon". Contracted for landscaping, hardscaping, pool renovation, and lanai construction. Lanai construction is so-so. Many gaps in wood, painting not included, it did pass inspection but it is not top tier professional. This was completed first and the workers that came out were respectful. Pool renovation went okay. It took a long time but they replaced all pipes, added returns and new LED lights. It was a long drawn out process. The pebble tec and coping and tiling went well. Hardscaping when their subcontractor Marlon is there is excellent. He's very smart and knowledgeable, but when he's not there you better check the work right after. They ordered the wrong techno bloc and said it was an upgrade, unfortunately they couldnt complete the herringbone pattern unless they individually cut each block. Landscaping was a complete nightmare, most trees were planted poorly with no mulch. They subcontracted with a team of two landscapers. Yes, just two. A new company came out and fixed their work in 1 week. It took them MONTHs to plant and often times days or weeks in between doing anything. The yard was so dirty with material left everywhere. I was told "its an active construction area so its going to be dirty" and made to feel that was acceptable. They couldn't finish last year so they promised they would via email by beginning of spring. Many trees died (10 total) and many boxwoods and tall grasses. Justin Booth, co owner promised many times the landscapers would come in May. Each time there was an excuse like "the landscaper wants to wait until everything blooms" and "they'll be there on monday when they finish another job". Ultimately they never came. I had a 5 year hardscape warranty, notified them in late winter of hardscaping issues, still not fixed. Buried downspout lines sloped incorrectly froze and broke, I fixed myself after 4 months of failed attempts for them to come out and fix. Plants dead with 1 year plant warranty, by mid June attempts for their company to fix were numbered and they agreed to pay another company. Now will not, continuing to say they will call next week, etc. During construction they hit and broke the gas meter, hit and damaged our kids play structure. I can go on and on. I was patient all spring and summer hoping they would honor their word but they do not. John, one of the owners just flat out doesn't pick up the phone but is reasonable when you talk to him, pretty quiet guy but doesn't bullshit a time frame. Justin, will tell you anything to your face knowing its a lie and has no concept of timeframes for actual completion. If they were an honorable business and actually responded to warranty claims I would give this review a 3.5 but their professionalism knocks it down to a 1. Save yourself some energy and chose another company. This company may also be called Creative Outdoor.

Greg had a lot of good suggestions and changed some things around. They did great work and Greg was very hands on with the whole project. However this year I was extremely disappointed with our closing. Not only were things left unfinished, but pervious instructions on where to empty the water were ignored (ending up costing me $450) on top of the police showing up at our house (very irate)... Here are the list of issues: - Water was illegally dumped on the dirt road running into the Rouge River system. Neighbors called the police due to road erosion and contamination of the river way. - Pool water was emptied too low! This is supposed to be on the 2nd step, but the pump/basket was placed on the floor of our shallow end, putting the entire pool at risk through the winter months (more money will need to be spent upon opening to fill the pool back up). - Instructions were given to call us before emptying the pool or empty the pool water into our EZ-Ice ice rink. This was not done, resulting in an incremental bill of $450 to fill the rink. - Filter baskets (by pumps) left uncovered allowing fall debris to get in them until I covered them and cleaned them out to avoid damage. - Cover was initially put on backwards. It was corrected after I called and informed them - Minor, but they left pool cover 'bag' out and it blew into neighbors yard which I was unaware until they brought it back. - They didn't complete connecting all of the cover straps to the moorings in the ground. Given my past positive experiences and longtime patronage, I requested a pricing adjustment. After a very disappointing and somewhat condescending conversation with the 'owner' (arguing every point / example provided) they were only willing to decrease the bill by $50. The handling of this issue and overall aggressiveness of the owner has forced me to make this review, and ultimately end my business with them, and hopefully inform others so they don't run into the same situation. I know the owner is a 3rd generation for the store, so hopefully seeing a review like this will help him move back to the customer support level of where we've known and expected their service to be. We switched to A-1 this year and couldn't be happier! Our previous pool service company did a good…read morejob with cleaning and chemicals but didn't seem to understand our equipment. They jerry rigged a few things and we had a disaster when we tried to turn on the heat. It turned out we needed a new heat pump (legit, it was time) and we decided to switch to A-1 because they seem so much more knowledgeable. They did a great job with the install and since then have reviewed everything and found several fixes to our equipment and programming. Garrett is the best! Also Kevin our weekly service person noticed calcium from our grout on the tile and cleaned it, which was over and above his job. They have been super responsive and we feel like it's a huge step up in every respect. Highly recommend. Worth every penny.

It is now October 30th and they still have not finished the job. I have been calling and texting them since October 10th but they have not returned any of my calls or text messages. They have not finished the job. I do not recommend hiring them due to their lack of communicate and them not finishing the job. If you do decide to hire them, do not pay them until the job is completely finished.
