Fernando always returned calls and communicated frequently with any updates, problems or concerns. His crew was hardworking and the work was beautifully done. Fernando moved some of our plantings to do the work but replanted our flowerbeds, mulched the whole front of our house and reseeded areas that needed to be reseeded before he left. Our house looks great, the price was reasonable and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this company.

The sleet and and snow were freezing onto the pavement and sidewalks, harder and harder each day. I called J & F landscaping. They promised me they would be out that day. Within a couple of hours of contacting them, they sent their crew out and did an excellent job cleaning everything up. It was tough work breaking through the crusted snow and ice. Originally Don was great to work with, he was quick to respond to me even came out on a holiday to…read moregive me a price quote. Don got me the written quote about 5 days later and was a little bit higher than other quotes I received but not by much. I appreciated his willingness to come out on a Sunday that was a holiday and his at that point quick response time so I wanted to work with him. The day he sent me the quote he let me know he would be out of town for the weekend fo DJ a wedding (his other business). I emailed him back to ask him about a specific controller I wanted to use that would integrate with my home automation system. The following Monday I hadn't heard back from him so I emailed him that night to follow up, not a big deal he was out over the weekend. Still got no response. I called him Wednesday to follow up again since I still had not heard from him, when I mentioned I had emailed him and hadn't heard back he immediately started getting upset with me and told me I said I was going to be out of town. Never said that, we thought maybe he confused me with another customer, no big deal mistakes happen. So I ask him the question about the controller and he tells me he needs time to research it and he will get back to me on Friday. Friday comes and goes no contact. I emailed him Monday (it was memorial day, and I didn't expect a response until Tuesday to my email) and Tuesday morning I receive an email from him stating he doesn't want to work with me. I respond back no problem it seems like he has a lot on his plate and its probably best we go our separate ways. That is when the trouble started. He responded to my emails telling me how unrealistic I was expecting him to respond to me on a Holiday weekend. What? you told me you would call me back on Friday and I heard nothing. The continues to tell me that I owe him an apology. We start exchanging emails back and forth and then he calls me 5 times, FIVE and leaves me 5 separate voice mails about how pissed off he is with me and I an unrealistic for expecting him to work 7 days a week and on holidays etc. I never once expected him to work 7 days or on a holiday, what I expected was him to respond to me in a timely manner which didn't happen with my emails and to call me back when he said he would on Friday. He had enough time to call me repeatedly and email me back and forth all day arguing but he didn't have 30 seconds to shoot me a quick email or a phone call saying he needed more time to find out if the controller I wanted to use would be compatible the week before. So bottom line is Don is great to work with if you don't ask for any changes to what he wants to use and you are ok with him contacting you when he feels like it. All I wanted was him to call me or email me when he said he would and I apparently expected too much which has now turned into an email battle between the two of us.
