There's no question you can't ask him, and with so many years experience, I definitely felt comfortable that if a problem arose he'd know immediately how to handle it. He shared many stories about his time as both a diver and instructor, demonstrating his wealth of knowledge on the subject. Do yourself a favor and sign up with him, because you will hit the water well prepared and really be able to enjoy yourself.

I suggested he call them because I had such a positive experience and then realized I have only been sharing that with friends and family instead of in formal review. I was lucky enough to be Thor's solo student during my sessions and he did everything possible to make me comfortable. All of the skills were very personalized and he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Even more important, he was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and was quick to repeat skills that I misunderstood or was struggling with. The scuba world is very male dominated, but I was never the only female in the pool nor was I ever made to feel less capable than the male students doing a refresher course. Thor made the skills fun and he was meticulous about making sure I understood and could safely execute each one. I cannot recommend the shop or Thor enough to anyone starting out, but especially to women entering the water.

art and renee lilly have been in the business for over 30 years, and their son, britt, is stepping…read moreup to take a more prominent role in the business. they are a friendly, hardworking family who clearly take great pride in their work. i had a bunch of work done on my boat this spring, but was late getting things started, and further delayed by weather. i was planning to get my boat to lilly's 3 weeks before the blue angels arrive in annapolis on may 20...unfortunately i didn't get it there until 12 days before the blue angels show, and there were already boats in the shop in line ahead of me. i asked britt about the possibility of getting the boat splashed by may 20. he hesitated, made no promises, but said he'd do everything he could to get it done. well, britt and his crew busted their arses and got it done for me in time! i picked up the boat on the morning of may 20, and could not have been more thrilled with the outcome! britt has a great eye for color, and amazing talent with an airbrush...he probably could have done my little single color 23 ft center console in his sleep. most of his work is on large offshore sport / racing boats with seriously tricked out designs and graphics. britt was super helpful in the color selection process. we wanted something unique, but not crazy. my wife wanted to go for something more toward ice blue, and i wanted to go more towards sea foam green. if you've ever picked out paints for a house, then you know how many colors / shades there are to choose. after looking at about 10,000 2-inch squares in shades between ice blue and sea foam green, my brain was scrambled. britt steered us right, though. I couldn't be more pleased with the way it turned out! if you're thinking about painting you boat, i'd strongly recommend you give the lilly's a call! they are a full service marine shop, and while i only had them paint my boat, given their work ethic and desire to "do things right", i wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future for other work on my boat.

It went in on a Thursday. Diver came out on a holiday, at their normal rate, and assured me he could find it. I thought he was smoking something or deluded, because it was lost in 24 feet of water in the infamously filthy (yet getting better thanks to some environmental efforts) Baltimore Inner Harbor. He was in the water for maybe half an hour before he surfaced. "Is this it?" He asked as he handed my ring to me. Thoroughly professional. Personable. Efficient. Reasonable rate. If it goes in the water and you want it back, call KB Diver.

Will has a masterful knowledge of the muscles of the body and gives amazing massages! I recently started taking night training alone and with others to work on muscle strength and tone. Will is a patient and calm instructor who is always on his game. And he takes his role of mind-body health very seriously. I use his services--even though I still belong to a gym! Will was a very personable owner. As soon as we walked in he spoke and shook your hand to make you genuinely feel welcome in his domain! The first thing Will had us try was using tennis balls against the wall so you can massage your back, glutes, and thighs. To start the class off we did dynamic stretches to make sure we get the blood flowing (which Will spoke about to explain the reasoning behind it), then we were introduced to the exercise stations. The stations consisted of tire flips, battle ropes, kickboxing, ab work with the balls and I actually realized we forgot about the planks...oopie daisy. To top the workout off Will had us do a very short jog over to the water (which is across the street) so we could do the post workout. He explained all the moves and gave reasoning as to why he would present this as a workout for his class. If you need a great workout and would love to learn more about health and wellness Will is your man!! His business is running a special for classes right now, so make sure to jump on that if you are interested in coming to his gym!! I will recommend this facility to people!! We just had a birthday party for my son there and it was an amazing experience for both the…read morechildren and the adults. The place was very affordable. They provide all of the themed decorations, matching table cloths and balloon arches and plates/utensils - you just come with the food. For the cake, they play a special happy birthday song. All of the little kids attending the birthday had a blast with the moon bounces and the big bouncy balls - they even attempted to leave the food area several times to go back and play. My older children equally loved it. The parents thought that it was an amazing place to use in the winter, when it's not fun to go outside, wonderful to use to get energy out and that it was very clean. Several asked about using it as a future birthday location. When you don't have a birthday, you can also come in as a walk-in and jump for a reasonable price. All friends were very sad when the party was over.

They are my go-to guys on pool questions.

We purchased a home with a pool that was always serviced in the past by A and S. We called in May…read moreof 2019 to schedule a pool opening and we were told that they were short staffed and not taking anymore new clients. I explained to them that technically we are not a new account, that we just purchased the home and our pool was always serviced by them, but i was told that they would not be able to help us, and to call at the end of the season to schedule a pool closing. We then contacted Universal Pools who was able to schedule a pool opening in a matter of a couple of days (we received A+ service from them). We were still hoping that A and S would be able to take on our account because they knew the history of our pool, so at the end of the season, we called them to schedule a closing and we were told the exact same thing, that they were unable to service us because "they are still down a technician" and to give them a call in February 2020 to schedule the pool opening for the summer of 2020. I called today (02/04/2020) and was told "they are not taking any new clients who did not have their pool opened or closed by them last year (which they were not willing to do),that they are still short staffed and no one wants to work". I called back to speak with the owner to inform him of this issue, and the lady that answered snickered at me, and was told that he is going to tell me the same exact thing. I did speak with the owner by the name of Stephen Mantz who was equally as useless, and told me that all pool companies are having difficulty finding workers. I explained to him that no other pool company that i contacted had any issues with scheduling. i'm really not sure how a business expects to stay up and running when they are turning away new customers, or in our case, a pool that has been services by them for years. Please do yourself a favor and beware before giving this business any of your money. There are so many more knowledgeable, friendly, pool companies out there that are happy to service existing accounts, and take on new customers without any issue, like Universal Pools. Shame on you A and S!
