I would not recommend this swim instructor…read more I prepaid $475 for a package of 20 fifteen-minute swim lessons for my 4-year-old son because he was so excited to learn to swim. Unfortunately, it turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Lesson after lesson was canceled, usually at the last minute. The reasons were consistently blamed on the weather, even on days when the radar was completely clear (I've included screenshots), or because the pool supposedly wasn't "hot and ready" despite the lessons being scheduled in advance. On one occasion, I had already arrived at her house before being told the lesson was canceled. The only full lesson my son received was one 15-minute session. During the second lesson, he was only in the pool for 6 minutes before it ended. In total, after paying for 20 lessons, my son spent only 21 minutes in the pool. When I requested a refund because the lessons were repeatedly canceled, I was initially told I would be refunded. Instead, I received less than what was owed. When I questioned it, I was told that "2 lessons is a different price than 20," even though the second lesson lasted only 6 minutes and wasn't even completed. The communication was unprofessional throughout the process. Instead of taking responsibility for the repeated cancellations, I was repeatedly told, "I make the call," regardless of the actual weather conditions. As a parent, the most disappointing part was watching my son get excited for swim lessons over and over, only to have them canceled at the last minute. We rearranged our schedules multiple times, drove to lessons, and still left without him getting the instruction we paid for. I understand that weather can occasionally affect outdoor swim lessons, and safety should always come first. However, the repeated cancellations, inconsistent explanations, incomplete lessons, and refund issues made this a very disappointing experience. I hope sharing this helps other parents make an informed decision.

I would not recommend this swim instructor based on my experience…read more I prepaid $475 for a package of 20 private lessons, but our experience was extremely disappointing. We received one full 15-minute lesson, then a second lesson that was cut short after only 6 minutes with a promise to make up the missed time. That makeup never happened because our scheduled lessons were repeatedly canceled. On other occasions, lessons were canceled because she said her pool wasn't warm enough, even though the lessons had already been scheduled for that day. There were multiple occasions when sessions were canceled due to weather even though there was no rain or lightning in sight and the weather radar was clear. On one occasion, she canceled our lesson more than an hour before it was scheduled to begin because of the forecast. I asked if she could wait until closer to lesson time to make that decision since the weather appeared to be clearing. By the time the lesson was scheduled to start, there was no rain or lightning. Despite that, she still said she had already decided not to hold the lesson. After I expressed my concerns, she offered a refund. However, out of the $475 I paid, she refunded only $388 for the one 15-minute lesson and one 6-minute lesson we actually received. I disagreed with the way the refund was calculated, especially considering the limited lesson time provided. Communication throughout this process was frustrating, and when I respectfully questioned the repeated cancellations or the refund amount, I found the responses dismissive and rude. The most upsetting part was seeing my toddler repeatedly disappointed after getting excited for his swim lessons, only to have them canceled. I now have to start over and find another instructor. If you're considering prepaying for a package of lessons, I encourage you to think carefully before doing so. Based on my experience, I found the service to be unprofessional, and I cannot recommend this instructor.

RSV is a highly contagious respiratory virus that can cause bronchitis, pneumonia and hospitalization in children. Carly Caldwell, the owner of this establishment continued to charge me for lessons I wasn't receiving during my daughter's illness. I wrote a letter to stop payment, she then sent that letter to my bank in order to prevent reimbursement of services not received. Her and I even spoke by phone and although I thought we would reach a resolution, she never called me back. It's sad to me that my daughter was never able to finish and during a difficult time of illness with my child, Carly put an additional $180 in her own pocket as a result.

We missed one scheduled session (two 15 minutes) and asked to make it up if they have a cancellation. They allowed to make up one, but told us their policy does not allow to make up the other. Lack of customer service is always a bad business judgment. A good business needs to have some flexibility in their policies and customer appreciation, especially that this was the only time during the past 7 months that we've missed. It doesn't cost them much to allow a make up during a cancellation because the coach is still in the pool. I have cancelled lessons for both kids because my policy is not to give business to a business that does not appreciate me as a customer.

Before I get into the nitty gritty - I want to say that at one point on Yelp, I thought that most…read moreReviews were fake and / or written by the company owners / employees. Now that I'm used to using Yelp, I know that they are not! People are honest and leaving the reviews based off of their experience. And that is what I'm doing here today. I am an adult who has never learned how to swim. After looking up countless swim sites, I settled on AquaMobile Swim School. They are affordable and convenient swim lessons conducted at YOUR home. Lets be honest, learning how to swim (especially as an adult) can be pretty embarrassing. But the confinement of your home allows you to relax and feel comfortable. PLUS - AquaMobile Swim School allows you to pick your instructor! I LOVED that! After picking my instructor and paying the fees, my lessons were booked. An hour later, I received a phone call from the instructor (Ellen B.) She introduced herself, asked me questions about myself and my swimming experience. During our first lesson, we went over kicking, blowing bubbles / breathing, and freestyle stroke. We finished our second lesson earlier this morning and I can honestly say ... I can swim! It may not be as swift as Michael Phelps, but I can swim! We practiced with a noodle initially, but by the time our one hour lesson finished, I was able to swim on my own. I still get nervous every now and then, but Ellen reassures me that she is right there by my side and I'm doing well. Some people give false hope and continuously say "Oh you're doing great! Keep up the good work! You're really getting the hang of this..... etc" But what I love about Ellen is that she's been honest with me from the beginning. "You need to kick a little harder. You aren't breathing properly. You are sinking because you aren't kicking as hard as you need to... etc" When I was able to swim on my own today, she shared my excitement! Being 27 years old, that made me happy! You never want to complete a lesson with someone who isn't passionate about what they are doing. If all instructors are like Ellen B., look no further! AquaMobile Swim School is where you need to schedule your At Home Swim Lessons! I initially booked Ellen B. for five lessons, but I think I will extend it to ten lessons to improve my strokes. Happy Swimming ~

A couple times of sucking water up her nose in the bath had me worried that she would be scared. We have rotated through many instructors at this point and they have all been great in their own way! I appreciate how each one takes the time to explain WHY we are doing the next activity and what gross/fine motor skills we are working on. I also appreciate that there is a new lesson plan every 2 weeks. We went to a different swimming company for a month prior to switching to Swim Safari and I felt like we were aimlessly doing the same few activities over and over and I never understood what we were trying to achieve because the instructors were not explaining anything. Every single employee is welcoming and has taken the time to know and remember my daughter. It has been a great outlet for her to make new friends as well. She has made great improvements since starting and soon she will be going into the water without me! We have also been thankful for the amount of class options, both the days and times. Keeping a toddler on a schedule is important! My ONLY suggestion is that the locker rooms could be a little warmer. It gets cold when your soaking wet and have to get a toddler dressed first.

He has learned so much and shown so much improvement w motor skills and excitement for the water. I love the variety they have in activities and are thoughtful on the different tactics to practice survivor experiences as well as strength. Of course we do have our favorite teachers, but all of them really are well trained, friendly and pay great attention to the students. They have great changing stations, plenty of room to prepare before class and clean-up after - even for the parents, since we have to join the baby classes till they can attend on their own. We only have 1 kid, but we see how parents of 2 or more are enjoying bringing their kids to attend classes around similar times. Our only complaint is that the school is so far from us!! I wish they had more branches on the west / north side - but we tried other swimming schools but they either don't have well trained teachers, host classes in adult gyms (which I don't feel comfortable with), or lack a strong community. So that's why we choose to make the average 1.3 hour commute (total) every week bc it's worth it.
