We found so many amazing items to make good home cooked meals from our childhood. Picked up some Farina , it was my husbands first time trying it. He also picked up a variety of pepper. Horrible costumer service, there was no sort of respect to the costumer. In reference to the "Supervisor" who treated me like I was an idiot after asking a simple question. I feel disgusted with the service I received over an employee who was not doing their job properly and seemed to be out to get me. The lady in the front who's name she refused to give, and after I was done shopping she watched me go through the register and everything she still had the audacity to ask me for my receipt. First of all let me start by saying this is not whole foods or Trader's Joe's. So please come in here with no expectations. The Good: - This supermarket is super large and not crowded during the covid-19 pandemic. - This place has plenty of veggies, especially if you do Latin cooking. - This place has some non-dairy milk, including oat milk. - This place has some vegan option, like cheese but not a vast selection. - This place does have some gluten free pasta and some gluten free flours - This place does have a lot canned good which we go for the pandemic The bad: - Does not have organic produce - Does not have nondairy ice cream - Does not have organic poultry/meats - Does not have gluten free bread Overall, this is a great place to get certain items but not all. Very clean and well stocked with almost Latin groceries. I like coming here because it isn't usually crowded like Walmart or shop rite and their prices are great! It is located at the bayonne/ JC border but in a good location because there is parking lot parking. I've never had a hard time finding a parking spot here. read more

I found this place just walking the streets of journal square. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety provided in this shopping market. I thought C-town was the only option in my neighborhood but this place is a strong contender. It is well laid out and has plenty of supplies. The only thing they need to beef up on is their baking section. I will agree with other reviews that prices can be ridiculous depending on the product. Some items are ok but others are way off. I believe they wanted $6 for a small bag of chocolate chips....totally insane, I bought those at C-town for half the price. Good variety decent price, would recommend trying if you live in the area. read more

the fruit is now horrific. the apples are dented or dent by the time they are in the apartment. one cashier tried to charge me $50 for a $15 total and she tried to get away with it until i called some of the old timers whom i know in this place. i go to seabra in harrison, where the element of customers is far more civil. there's also a fruit market at the strip mall in downtown secaucus that has succulent stuff, as well. read more

Clean and friendly. They have a great fish market and I always buy the jumbo shrimp here. The prices are a little higher for groceries, but the convenience and easy access is key. They also have a nice produce department, WAY cheaper than the big chains! read more

I truly love this super market but it has been too many times when I brought meat here it was rotten. They really need to check their meat more often and when I brought my meat back the lady behind the meat section had the nerve to take the meat out the garbage and asked what is wrong with it. My husband had to tell her smell it and u will see for your self! She still kept the meat and brought it to the back! I really hope no one brought it! read more

They have a lot of imported goods. So a lot of people will go here when seeking those ingredients to makes grandmas soup. But SOOOOO OVERPRICED ! Any cereal is $6 . Absolutely everything is marked up. It's straight up robbery. Everything this almost guarantee to be double the price at Walmart. This is my favorite grocery in Jersey City... although I think it's in the edge of Bayone. Aqui has all the Latin foods I want but can't find anywhere else. I'm a middle aged dude that only speaks English so sometimes communication in the Latino community can be a challenge for me... no issues communicating in Aqui. The store is very clean, well stocked, and smells great. The meat counter is my fav. They have whole pork shoulder picnic cuts. That's my bread & butter BBQ cut right there. They also have chunk cut pork shoulder by the pound if you don't need a full 10 lb shoulder. They have non homogenized pork fat which is the BEST thing for frying chicken wings in. Last time there I picked up some Mexican frying cheese which was so good I am redoubling my support of NAFTA, I kid you not. read more

I like this place, but I do tend to go down every aisle so shopping here can be exhausting. . I am a curious foodie and like to try new things and there is abundance of items to try. Very clean and well stocked with good prices and plenty of parking. Lots of Hispanic products and spices but other things, too. The meat is devine: we bought a pork shoulder and made the best BBQ with plenty leftover to share or for freezing and use later (like in soup or stew). Nice looking fresh veg and fruit. Prices are good. My favorite part was that Aqui Market is a nice size. Not a huge Shop Rite with too much and not a neighborhood bodega either. Just a friendly, neighborhood grocery. They close early even tho their hours are till 10pm. I've tried to come the first time at 950, so the next day I got there at 930 and they had already locked the doors! If your employees don't want to work till 10pm then either get new people or change your hours! read more
