I was looking everywhere for some place that could resize my ring and not take 2-3 weeks before…read moregetting back. A lot of places that resize rings are only willing to do it if you also bought the ring from them. Some are only willing to downsize by one size. On Saturday it was raining and the weather pushed us into the Park Place Mall for shelter since I couldn't go home, as my usual route was a little flooded. We decided to grab lunch. When I first walked in there were other customers being assisted but not overly busy. I just had to wait a moment for assistance. Let me preface by saying, it wasn't a long wait- but even if it had been inconvenient, it would have been worth it. They checked out my ring, asked me what size I wanted. I told them what size I usually wear (which is still slightly too small). They wanted me to try a half size smaller. So I did. I settled on the .75 between the next whole and the half. I was worried about the integrity of my ring and the stones between a two size difference but they assured me it would be fine. I am extremely happy that I followed their advice to go smaller. It was due to finish at 6p. I got a text at 5:08p saying they were already finished and it was ready for pickup! They were done early! I got excited. The location was super convenient, so I ran back to grab it. Upon arriving, they found my ring right away using the ticket they'd given me. They noticed mil and gave me a discount. I just want everyone to know about this place. Even before I left they offered me a complimentary cleaning for all the other rings I was wearing on the spot. My wedding ring is now sparkling again, and I couldn't be happier with this business! Ps if you view the pics it's the sapphire ring that was resized. I should probably go back to resize my wedding ring next time haha definitely going back to them with all my business in the future:) 10/10, recommend!!

I also took a watch I was giving as a gift there to have it sized correctly. Robert was kind enough to teach us how to use the watch even, since it hadn't come with any sort of owner's manual. They suggested I have it assessed with their goldsmith and I agreed. When the assessment came back, the goldsmith said the entire head had to be replaced. The price: $600. I took my ring to a private jeweler/gemologist for another assessment. He looked at my ring and said the damaged prong could be repaired and the others were in good condition. The price for the repaired prong; $45. Fast forward 2024. I notice a different prong tip missing, take the same ring in for assessment & am told the tip was missing & another looked "weak". It is sent to the goldsmith and am told the entire head had to be replaced - again. Price: $600. I take the ring to Ambassador and am told repair of the damaged prong & the weak prong would be $60. Total replacement of entire head $140. Work complete in 7 days. I'm not certain as to why the vast difference in cost. Ambassador has a 5 star review and friendly service. I try to bring business to family owned establishments, but I'm not returning to this one. Perhaps Thigpen should consider using a repair service with more reasonable prices. A Google search will reveal the average cost of repair of a prong is $45-$75.
