They don't refund ... even when they are clearly in the wrong…read more.. My husband booked this as a surprise date night for us. We arranged childcare and drove almost an hour to attend, only to find out the only thing you can paint is hats, which is not clearly stated when booking. I don't wear hats, and my husband said he never would have booked it if that had been obvious. When I asked about it, the host insisted it was clearly listed, which made my husband look like he had done something wrong. After leaving, I checked the website again and it still does not clearly say hats are the only option. For $85 per person, the value just isn't there. The photos show far more embellishments and supplies than what is actually provided. The hats themselves look like inexpensive bulk items. Alcohol is advertised as included. We understood that meant limited options since they can't legally sell alcohol, but the selection was even worse than expected. We arrived 10 minutes early to use the restroom and were still told we needed to leave 15 minutes early -- even though we were the only people there at 7pm on a Friday night. I called afterward to give honest feedback and instead of addressing the concerns, the host asked if I was "okay," which felt dismissive. At this price point, customers deserve a much clearer description of what they are actually paying for when booking online... The host/couple that were own/worked there were nice enough during the time slot. Things were still awkward and I didn't want to make my husband feel bad for his effort into planning this date night. I'm not one to write reviews but I'm really annoyed.

I've been hoping to nurture my creative side and doing it while drinking might help get my juices flowing. Their website boasts a whole array of paintings, there are pretty landscapes, rustic designs and some fun and festive ones, priced around $25-45 each depending on the length and difficulties. I saw a few more challenging ones that I'm very interested to satisfy my type-A personality. There's also one that you can install some lights to shine through the canvas. I'm definitely going to sign up for that. Since it's a BYOB, we went to buy two bottle of wines, dressed up in our costumes and headed out to check this out. It was located in an unassuming strip mall on Nazareth Pike. We were met with very pleasant staff who dressed as zombies and zombie hunter while assuring us that they usually look more normal, ha! The manager painted himself as Vincent Van Gogh' self portrait, I thought to myself that we were in for a creative night. The painting itself was a gloomy zombie walk in a grave yard. It lends itself to some fun shadow work. The host taught us how to paint it step by step with funny anecdotes and games in between while we refill our wine glass every now and then. Two hours flew by and everyone finished their paintings on time. I think we all left satisfied. My other friends later saw my handiwork and commented on it and I think we'll come back to try other ones. What a fun hobby to pick up!

The Delaware location was…read moreappealing to us because they had a really beautiful sunset picture that was available on the day that was convenient for us. However, I am so glad we came to this location for several other reasons! The instructor, Jenn, made an effort to get to know us and to come around to see if we had any questions and to give us feedback in real time. I will say, the class was a little rushed at the end so that is my one point of constructive feedback, because the post at the front of the picture is the most challenging part of the painting!! This was also just like, SO fun. If you're thinking "will this really be that enjoyable?" the answer is YES! They also had mimosas and a good selection of White Claw, Beer, and Wine that was available during our three breaks during the session! Don't drink too much or else you won't be able to focus on the painting, lol!

When I initially had to reschedule our appointment, I explained that I was undergoing breast cancer treatment and had received a double dose of chemotherapy a couple of days before. The treatment had taken a serious toll on my body, and I simply was not well enough to attend. Although the owner was snippy with me at the time, she ultimately agreed to the rescheduling. I thanked her and confirmed that the six people who had already paid would attend on the new date. On the rescheduled date, I unfortunately had to call again and ask for understanding because of another unexpected situation. My best friend, who was supposed to attend with us, had to be rushed to the emergency room. I was completely transparent with the employee who answered the phone and explained that I had previously needed to reschedule because of my chemotherapy. The employee spoke with the owner, and I was told that the owner authorized all SIX of us to come and paint on August 11. I expressed my apologies and gratitude. When we arrived to paint, the owner told the instructor that only three people would be allowed to paint. I then spoke with the owner directly, and she told me that she would only honor three painters and claimed that this information had been sent to me by email. I explained that, just as I had told her employee, I had recently undergone chemotherapy and did not have the opportunity to constantly check my email. I had also been traveling to New York to be with my sisters during this difficult time. Her employee had told me that she understood the circumstances and that everything was confirmed for six people on August 11. Instead of showing even a small amount of compassion or attempting to resolve the misunderstanding, the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. She interrupted me, told me that she did not care about what I had discussed with her employee, and essentially dismissed everything I was saying. She also told me that although she would honor the three painters, I should not think about coming back to her business. I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner, especially after being completely honest about what I was going through. I understand that businesses have policies, but there is a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating a customer with cruelty and disrespect. The owner's behavior was completely unacceptable. I sincerely hope she learns that compassion, communication, and basic courtesy matter--especially when someone is going through an extremely difficult time.
