I dropped my car off, and within a day it was fixed, welded instead of replaced, for $140. Ryan, at the front desk, was super nice and friendly, and honest, and I just got great vibes from the whole place. It's a week later, the car drives and sounds great. So I wanted to have it looked at make sure it was done right & figure out why/how it was damaged. Apparently Valvoline must have dropped it. The damage wasn't caused by the car or road. My car needed a total transmission flush.. they did it in a timely manner & things are working good. The reason I went to them was in the spring I had some issues & come to find out there was a recall for it. When I had called Spartan Toyota (before going tho University Foreign Car Repair) they wanted over $200 to "diagnose". Interesting there's a recall & the dealership wants $ to diagnose a recall. The folks at University told me about it & printed out the recall info thus Spartan repaired it without the diagnostic fee. Who does that? Tells you there's a recall & take it to the dealership & get it fixed free. When I came in this time for these other things (granny flush etc) they told me they had a bad review. Now that I found surprising. These folks have been in business many years & always had a stellar reputation. But I didn't use them until recently. I was very confused by them 1st telling me about the bad review. So I read it. That post after reading it seemed like somethings missing. Maybe it was someone else's card, maybe she had a previous experience that went away? But something in it seems like there's more to it. These people at University knocked hundreds off what they originally quoted me. Even during the quote and drop off. When I came back, it was even less than quoted. The work was great. I had no problem with payment with my card. They were jovial gentleman, and truly seemed like they not only cared about my car, but my budget & me as a person. Some people are just never happy unless it's free & even then....they'd probably complain ​​

I dropped my car off the night before as I work during his hours and received a call after just a couple hours of the shop being open. Tony informed me that there was nothing wrong with my car at all and he could not see a leak that the other place had be speaking to. He said he could keep my car and continue to do tests throughout the day including a drive test. He never found anything wrong with me car so I was 100% scammed by this other place and Tony saved the day. Tony saved me $1,000 in repairs on something that did not need to be repaired and was very honest about the whole process and called me every couple hours as he could tell I was very nervous since I had just been scammed by another place. I needed new tires and he got me an AMAZING deal on tires and charged very little for installation and got rid of my old (very beat up) tires for me for free. So I drove it down the road and found it drives worse than ever, swaying like crazy and jolting my wheel with every bump, I immediately brought it back upset, and said "it drives 5 times worse than before" NOT BLAMING ANYONE JUST STATING THE FACT and the rude old lady of a manager decided I was insulting her and her business for bringing it back and telling her it doesn't drive right WHICH SHE TOLD ME TO DO, and she had the audacity to get aggressive with me, standing up getting out of her chair pointing her finger at me. I tell her not to get aggressive with me and she has the audacity to say I'm being aggressive as she now gets in my face yelling at me finger in my face. All I wanted was to bring it back and have it figured out what was wrong now. Absolutely ridiculous and terrible business. I've worked in customer service for 10 years, being cussed at and chewed out and even when that happened I've never treated a customer that way. They flushed the break system on my approval for $100 but only took the fluid from reservoir and replaced. When this place says flush, its just a reservoir fluid replacement; beware. The manager quoted $1999, I agreed but after he started said he needed another $225 for gaskets, he took $100 off. Overall, the Oil Pump work finally completed was done well thus far, but getting there was expensive and deceptive.
