Well the smoothie was the only enjoyable thing, The message was supposed to be relaxing but felt more like a deep tissue, OUCH! Then comes the pedicure.. The lady couldn't paint toe nails she missed the outer sides of all my nails so it looked like thin streaks of paint. Hate to say it but would never return. Back in our home town we have this spa that's supposed to be top of the line. I had a spa day there over five years ago, and due to my poor experience I never did another spa day and I wasn't planning on doing a spa day ever again. Well Arabella changed my spa perception entirely. I was pampered and treated like a queen! I had a wonderful time and have never felt more relaxed. I started in the soak tub with a delicious smoothie, then I went in for a salt scrub that left my skin soft and glowing, and then I had an hour and half massage that was truly the best massage I've ever had. I enjoyed my massage.. but then found out my boyfriend spent 250 bucks on a small package, of the massage after a hot tub with a smoothie. I was happy my massage was deep but my masseuse talked to me about her 20-years-older boyfriend much of the time.. For that much money on a birthday present, I'd way rather have a salon package of JUST several massages. after a less than good experience at antoher day spa (Tacoma Mall Gene Juarez), Arabella Vital is great! They have a great staff and a nice atmosphere. Love their monthly specials! and after trying several other spa places for facials.... I still like the ones here the best. I purchased a wonderful valentines package for my boyfriend and we spent a few hours at the spa togehter ending with side by side massages.... he felt very spoiled and can't wait to go again! Save your time and money, please! I scheduled a lash fill and was super excited that they could get me in last minute. Upon arriving, it was slightly dark in the building and there were no other clients. Odd. Once getting on the table and letting the lash gal look at my lashes, I knew I was in for a treat. She didn't know where anything was and was very timid. I was nervous. After putting 4+ pieces of tape on each bottom lid, she informed me that she couldn't do it because my eyes were "too dirty" and I may get an "eye infection." I'm a nurse and have been having extensions for 4 years, with no issues. She just didn't want to do them. The next day, I went and had them done elsewhere and they look amazing! read more

I really enjoyed my experience. My only complaint is that it was supposed to be 2.5 hours for the "royal excursion " package, and they were done with me at exactly 2 hours...so I was shorted 30 minutes. Tiara did my massage, and she was amazing. She had a nice pleasant demeanor about her, and was really skilled in her massage technique. If I return, I will definitely request Tiara again. Tina did my facial and paraffin hand dip; she was also very pleasant. The facility was nice, clean, and a calm environment. I had a great time. Very inappropriate - Darcy the technician who was performing the body scrub on me and has performed them on me in the past, brought down the towel I am wrapped in on the table before it's removed to do the scrub COMPLETELY OFF so that my vagina showed when I was lying on my back! That has NEVER been done, as I've been going for years for body scrubs and they always have removed the towel down to above my stomach to perform the scrub. She knew she pulled too far when she made the comment, "oh not that far" and brought it back up but, it was too late the goods had been showed! SHE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR HER ACCIDENT!! Then she forgets that I don't use the vichy shower (which, okay that's understandable since she's human), but then when she knows that after she performs the scrub, she's supposed to step out (like normal) while I wash off the body scrub in the in-room shower, she asks if she can stay & "clean up" while I shower. She's never done it before, don't know why she'd even ask that. I felt uncomfortable so instead of saying, "no" I said, "uhhh" and she got the hint and said she'd go fix up my massage table. Mind you that while I am getting my body scrub, she makes a comment about how I "take care of my body." Later on during the massage (the service I had scheduled after the body scrub), she makes a comment "oh you work out" when I had mentioned how I normally like massages later in the evening since I don't like to work out afterwards. She then tells me a story about how she got a massage from a therapist at another spa who was a guy who was too strong with her and she couldn't speak up, so when she tried to push out his strength physically, he had said "good luck" to her since he knew what she was doing. Was that supposed to be a bash on guys? I did give her advice that I normally ask the front desk person at that other spa she went to what they think of the massage therapists available (if I've never been with them before) & what others think if they've never been with them & how the front desk person normally will even give a rating on the massage therapist's strength. I got creepy vibe like she may like women (nothing against it), but please don't be inappropriate with clients. Darcy was also more chatty than I would've preferred. I liked going with her since she did good work and didn't chat unless you chatted with her, but now I feel violated with my body. I can't even put no stars, I have to select ONE star to post this. I couldn't even talk to the owner about it afterward since nobody was at the front desk when I left. read more

I'm surprised with all these low reviews. My wife and I just left a couples massage session and we were both very pleased. Staff was polite, communicative. The hot tub was delightful, and came with a small bottle of sparkling cider and two champagne glasses. Massage was perfect. My masseuse listened to me and responded well to my body. The whole package was more expensive than some lower quality establishments, but the overall experience was well worth the premium. We both look forward to coming back here for our next massage. read more

I've been going to this spa for about a year, but lately, I've have not been please with my service. my last visit, the person that I thought that I had my services booked with (manicure, pedicure) only my manicure was booked with my same gal, my pedicure was with a very older man & he did a terrible job that I had to remove all polish & refile my toenails so that they were all straight! My last 2 waxing have not been satisfactory; I've been bruised & the person that waxed me states that is normal. I do not agree! I've haven't had the same person was me EVER. I booked a couple's massage in hopes that it would be a relaxing experience. The set up was nice, but they had a bathtub you could get in beforehand and while we were getting our massage, you could hear someone cleaning it with something that made a TON of noise. That ruined the ambiance for me since it was a thin divider separating the bathroom and the area where we received the massages. The staff was nice, but didn't ask about our preferences for the massages at all. The lady that did mine barely used any pressure at all and it seemed like a complete waste of money. I would suggest better communication with the staff in order to make the customers' experiences better. Wait until people are out of the room to clean up and actually communicate with the people you're working on to see what they want. read more

I just had An amazing deep tissue myofascial release massage by Kim and it was absolutely fabulous. I have quite a few problem areas in my muscles, along with some old injuries and now I just feel so much more loose and limber. Got the 'Time for Two' package which includes a 20 minute aromatherapy bath, sparkling cider, 2 small brownies, and an hour long massage followed by use of the steam room. The bath was surrounded by candles and rose peddles. What I did not enjoy was how they were not going to tell me about the automatic gratuity for two until I asked if there were any other charges. I came here on Nov 28 for the aromatherapy bath. I was incredibly disappointed with the service. I paid $56 after tax for 30 minutes to sit in a hot tub. To begin with, i was escorted into the tub by a woman with absolutely no customer service skills. I felt confused, and after asking to have the service explained to me i was told...just get nude and sit in the tub. I wasn't asked what type of aromatherapy i was interested in. I was given no choice. i also wasn't told how to control the tub. While in the tub, i could not even notice any scent. I was left wondering if they even put oils in it. When i got out i told the women i was confused by the service. I told her i didn't notice any aromatherapy and she said...yes it was in there. I also told her i was upset that i didn't know how to control the tub and she said, you don't comtrol it you just lay down and relax......so apparently for $56 a half hour you can't even decide if you want jets or not. I was almost in tears upon leaving knowing that i just spent so much money to just sit in a hot tub. When i called the next morning i was finally appologized to (which was non existent the night before). I was then offered a $30 credit...which only half covers their most inexpensive service. So the best i can expect is to go there and spend another $40. Well played. Just posting this so people don't waste their time with this place. I'm calling my 56 dollars a loss....thanks a lot arabella, i work hard for my money. read more

Not a bad experience but less than advertised and would expect for dropping almost 500 bucks. Got facials and a couples massage for my boyfriend and me. The esthetician focused more on describing her family dynamcis than focusing on my face, the couples jetted bath smelled like a swimming pool when aromatherapy was advertised, and couples massage was performed a door away from the tub, which we continually heard fill, drain, and jet. Hard to find your Zen when you can't focus on relaxing. The staff was very sweet and skilled in their professions but I feel it didn't live up to the description of its services. read more

The setup with the tub is nice as well but my 5yr old would've given me a better massage. a complete waste of time-I was crying to my husband as I explained the waste of time/money he spent. wow. just wow. saddest spa I have ever tried. while the employees were nice, that was the only enjoyable part of the experience. I did lip wax, full leg wax and a special holiday pumpkin mani/pedi. I spent just shy of $250, including tip. what a huge waste of money and a huge disappointment. I have never had my legs waxed before. they did the wax first, which ended up being really frustrating when I then went and sat down for my pedicure and they told me they couldn't do the leg massage/scrub because I had just been waxed. but they still charged me the full price. I got home and there was so much left over wax on my legs that my blue jeans had left blue fuzz stuck to me in patches. As I was trying to clean it off, I discovered 6 places on my legs that still had patches of hair where none had been removed at all, which means they just apparently missed those areas. my fingernail polish was supposed to be clear, but dried an ugly yellowish coffee stain color. it chipped the second day. my toenail polish, despite letting it set for several hours, dried with the nail tech's fingerprints in the polish on both big toes, which she touched to make sure it was dry enough to send me home. instead of relaxing while my polish dried, they rushed me out the door because the nail tech had to go pick up her kid from school and the gal working the front desk had already left. mind you, my appointment was in the middle of the day, so I was just finishing up around 1 pm. maybe if you have $250 to spare and you don't care what you look like when your services are over and you feel like listening to your service provider drone on about her marital woes, then you'd like this place fine. read more
