We booked an excursion off Holland America's Nieu Amsterdam of Prince Rupert on the Red Trolley, thinking it included local native cuisine tasting...but were pleasantly surprised to discover that lunch was served by Arabisk! A remarkable experience! Service was impeccable. Tastes were both authentic and extraordinary. Portions were more than generous. The venue was (frankly) the highlight of Prince Rupert. The hosts were both enthusiastic and humble. And their pride in the enterprise was justified and impressive. The Zaitouni's have aspirations to expand into other venues...but my caution to them is that this level of service and presentation can never be franchised (regrettably) because it is simply too good to replicate outside the family. (Although...selfishly...I would encourage them to consider Palm Springs if only seasonally!) Forget the Trolly tour. Grab a cab and go directly to savor Arabisk! read more

Solid Lebanese food in Prince Rupert. Found this place through a cruise excursion. Did not know it was Lebanese until I got here, but boy was it good. Fresh home-cooked by a family who moved the business from Dubai. A must visit when in town. read more

The location is gorgeous and very quiet, I started with the soup and frankly it was so large of a portion I could have ended the meal there! The combo tray was amazing and perfectly cooked I am so glad we ordered it. I loved the hummus. The server was so nice and took great care of us. What a beautiful spot overlooking Seal Cove! The staff at Arabisk were so friendly and attentive during our dinner! We learned that the restaurant is family run. I was born and raised in Rupert and this weekend was the first time I had returned to Prince Rupert in 36 years! Our dinner at Arabisk was definitely a highlight of our trip! Our mixed grill and Babaganoush were simply amazing! We will definitely be back for a meal at Arabisk on our next trip to P.R. (Won't be 36 years for our next visit!). Part of an excursion from our cruise ship. We had a selection of dips and grape leaves and chicken and lamb kebab and the omg garlic sauce...everything was amazing! A bit sad that we are all the way in Colorado and Arabisk cannot make our usual rotation. The owner came out and described our meals and also how they had planned to own in 2019, but stupid COVID. The decorations are lovely, and there was a tv with a video loop of the food prep. And then a selection of desserts including two types of baklava..I liked the rolled version. read more

We were lucky enough to be taken to this restaurant by a city tour from our cruise ship. The food was delicious, the service was prompt & caring. It is a family run establishment, and they certainly make you feel as part of the family. We were given a picnic lunch of a chicken shawarma that was very tasty. It had a garlic sauce that really added flavor. We got a fresh salad, nicely dressed. Dessert was a very tasty sweet pistachio cake. Steve & the family couldn't have been more accommodating. The food wasn't that good. The tzatziki sauce had no flavor. I swear to God it was sour cream. The Shirley temple was NOT a Shirley temple. No sprite. Service was slow. Pasta lacked flavor. The ambiance was cute though. read more

Food was not good! ordered 2 regular poutine (no meat) and all showed up with meat. they exchanged for regular poutine however, one poutine was drowning in gravy. the gravy was the consistency of jello so it wasn't consumed. other person requested side of gravy and received the smallest (literally the slice of a quarter, approximately 3 quarters deep) of gravy. the hummus and pita bread was flavourless and dry. extra (random) dry pita showed up at the end of the meal. when we explained to the server that we couldn't eat at the food due to lack of flavour, dry, and jello consistency, still billed for everything. Paid $210 for food we did not eat. EXTREMELY disappointed. again, the server was amazing...the food was horrible and it was disappointing to pay for food that we didn't eat.
