I've been here 4x now and I'm really impressed by the service and food quality. However, I wouldn't recommend coming here for brunch - very basic. Otherwise, any dish is stellar! I've only tried their seafood dishes (cuz duh, coastal town) but I heard their steaks are good as well. Good portions - not too big nor small and very well seasoned. However, I wish they carry fresh chillies because some dishes need that kick to elevate it to the next level. They also have daily drink specials however, it's only a dollar cheaper than the usual pricing - any saving counts in this economy amiright? Their creme brulee is top notch! Usually creme brulee can be too sweet but this is perfection *chefs kiss*

I came here during Prince Rupert Dine out where they had the $38 special 2 course meal. I got the stuffed meatballs and lamb osso bucco. The stuffed meatball was pretty mediocre but I do liked the fact it had lots of cheese. The lamb was disappointing. Maybe because this was something off the menu which made it very difficult for them to cook or they were just not experienced to cook that dish. My lamb came out cold in the center the first time and second time, it came back steaming hot on the outside but inside was ice frozen cold. It was very disappointing. I also noticed the inconsistency between the first lamb osso bucco and the second one. The server was nice to apologize. The restaurant did have a nice view of the ocean. However, I came here for dinner so I can't really see outside. Everything was super dark.

Excellent restaurant at this nice city , which we visited for the very first time. We started at Charleys Bar with a lovely bottle of Burrowing Owl Chardonnay and to move later on to Waterfront Restaurant, when Jennifer R rudely asked us to pay the bill and to grab by ourselves the bottle of wine with the bucket..... not impressed .....when at this type of hotel it must be continuity in the service and gentleness to customers...... anyhow we are so happy we did a great move because at the Waterfront restaurant we were happily and professionally received by NUCHY, who is so lovely and we then had a great time with delicious food and another half bottle of same wine. When the people has the full world in their head, it is much better to provide excellent service as we experienced with NUCHY, great suggestions, fast service, pleasant conversation and fantastic moments in a elegant ambience with great view to the open sea.

The table that got sat right after us received their drinks within 10 minutes and they ordered specialty drinks. When we finally got our food, the chowder was cold. We asked to get it reheated it came back the a tad warmer. We then asked if it was supposed to come out room temperature, they said that because it was a hot day it comes out cool..? The dishes that stood out were the shrimp and the halibut bites. The shrimp were seasoned beautifully and tasted fresh. The halibut bites were also delicious. The steamed clams tasted fresh and the downside was the price to size ratio. The clams were smaller than anticipated. The fried calamari tasted like any other fried calamari you could get anywhere else. A few notes are they do have gluten-free batter for fried dishes which is a plus for those with celiac. One important thing is for those with allergies, I would be hesitant to visit as the manager wasn't aware of how the dishes were prepared. When asked how the clams were prepared, the manager did not know if they were steamed or even cooked with garlic; when it was served, she came to check if they were steamed... If you would like to try this place, I would allocate at least few hours to make sure you're not rushing.
