There was no charge. They had been out for a bid several months previous and were trying to earn out business... Enter EAN.. we had significant damage to our roof September 28th and went under contract with Gary's in Jan. We were told work would be 4-6 months out due to demand. They agreed to keep us dry with any repairs till we could get the new roof. I am happy to say we have our new tile roof and they completed (April 3rd only a three month wait) the work professionally and we are very pleased. They have done over 80 roofs in our community and have an outstanding reputation. The roofers are employees not contractors and they were all great workers. Three of the days we had 15 workers on our property. We are delighted that the job was completed in less than 2 weeks and each day they left the property clean and tidy. They are a little more expensive than the other bids we received but they are worth every penny. They also only required $1000 down till the work began and did not tie up significant money in the waiting period.

I reccomended the company several times. Last month I noticed one of the skylights had cracked. Mid Coast responded and sent out someone to inspect the damage. They confirmed the crack was on the inside layer of glass. They referred me to Sun Tek, their skylight vendor, to resolve the issue. Sun Tek without any inspection denied responsibility for the failure saying it was an "act of God". The crack was on the interior panel so no weather issues were involved. I informed the President, Jim Keffer of MidCoast on what happened and received no response. SunTek does not stand behind their product but Mid Coast does not stand behind their vendors.

Their lack of customer service is about the worst I've ever seen! BE CERTAIN TO AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! We are purchasing a new home, and in the initial inspection some roof issues came up, so we wanted to get a roofer out to see how bad things were. Due to the current "seller's market" going on, our inspection period was very short, so we had to ask to extend our inspection period to accommodate this special roof inspection. We called Wolff on a recommendation from our realtor (who will no longer be recommending them I'm sure) last Monday, and they said they could come out Wednesday for the inspection. Our inspection period had been extended only until the next day- Thursday. On Tuesday afternoon they confirmed our appointment. On Wednesday morning they again confirmed. Then, about 1 1/2 hours before the inspection, they called to state they couldn't do the inspection. The woman who called stated that "they needed two inspectors, as it is a 2 story home" and they didn't have 2 inspectors available at this time for the inspection. It was at this time that she also informed us that the inspection would be $500.00. (We had not been told this upon booking the inspection- but it is what it is.) My husband had the whole conversation on speaker so I could hear it. She then went on to tell him that they could do a "virtual inspection" for $175.00. A VIRTUAL INSPECTION? WTF????? By this time she had already been very rude, very short and very UN-customer friendly to my husband. (It's probably a REALLY good thing that he was dealing with her, because I already would have blown up at her by this point. She went on to say that "they didn't really like going out to this type of inspection, because the people who did them when buying didn't usually use their company to repair the roofs anyway." At this point my husband asked her why they even agreed to the appointment if that was the case, and explained it put us in a very difficult position, since we were now in the 11th hour, and our inspection time was almost up. Her response was, "I just make the appointments. It's not my problem." I then asked her if she really thought the sellers would be likely to give us a credit when we told her that we had had a "virtual inspection" done (which I guess is them looking at the house on Google map view or something???" Again, she said, "I just make the appointments. How do I know what someone is going to do?" WOW! Just wow! Then she went on to ask why we hadn't contacted another company to do an inspection. Why would we, when we had made an appointment with them????? After dealing with this B---CH I understand WHY other customers hadn't used Wolff to do their roof work! A- they probably wouldn't show up to do the work and B- they aren't easy to deal with! This company put us in a real predicament with our escrow. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!
