Came here with a big group (40-45 people) for Group Campsite A this past weekend (Friday check in…read morethrough Sunday check out). Plenty of picnic tables and plenty of space for our tents in the shade. Plenty of parking as well. We also reserved Group Campsite B because we thought we needed more space, but we didn't end up needing it. However, Group Campsite B has its own parking spots (can fit 6 cars comfortably I believe) which was good use for us for our friends who came on Saturday when it was packed with two different baptisms and other day use overflow. Group Campsite A didn't have its own parking and could only park at the overnight/overflow lot, which was fine for those of us that came on Friday when it was empty. Group Campsite A is more secluded/private and has outlets as well. Group Campsite B didn't have much shade and was next to the other campsites. The bathrooms nearest the group campsites got pretty gross by the end of the day with all the day use people using it as well, but they were cleaned every morning. There was another bathroom at the other end of the park near the rest of the campsites, but didn't feel the need to go to them. Park Rangers also made a point to come by and get trash every morning as well and collected them from us at the river! There was a big dumpster near Campsite A that we could walk to as well. The river was close by. Campsite A had a lot of shade and we didn't even need our EZ-Ups. We brought them down to the river instead. There were coin showers (25 cents per minute and minimum of 2 minutes required each time). It was really hot Friday evening through Saturday morning and a TON of bugs, but Saturday there was a nice breeze and no more bugs. Saturday night got really cold into Sunday morning. Will definitely be coming back here in the future for more big group camping!

It's well maintained, and kept extremely clean…read more There is a 1/3 of a mile concrete walking loop, a playground for the kids, picnic tables, plenty of benches and lots of lush lawn. This is a good place to get a little exercise, the walking loop is relatively flat and free from any vehicle traffic.

In addition, the night attendant Perry was also very helpful and took us to our spot and pointed out where things were. That is all the good I can give the campground. Let's start with the "no's" . No wi-fi, no cable, no restrooms. If I am paying for a site, all three of those are mandatory. The campground itself is set next to the Merced River so there is good scenery, but the campground itself is old and worn out. I would say that' 80% plus are all permanent residents, some of their equipment in very poor condition. The roads are all gravel and my site was very un-level. I think there is good potential here, but there needs to be a lot of investment made to get this park back to a destination people will want to visit.

Our party of 10 agreed we had the best park trip ever with Pani guiding us through the exceptional features of Sequoia national park. We met family from Sacramento here today, we're from Bakersfield. We have never been here before…read more It was a great deal at $3/person, since it's the 1st sat of the month. We spent about 3 or so hours playing & exploring. It's really meant for younger ages,probably up until about 10-11. My son is going to be 11 next week & loved it because he loves dinosaurs, digging & science. Not sure i would go out of my way to go back, only because we don't live locally but if we lived in fresno I would consider getting a membership. They have a lot of great programs throughout the week which would be great for school field trips or homeschooling co-ops.

Came here once for my nephews birthday and haven't been back since, so it's been a while and I kind of forgot this place exists. You can get your tickets online, I happen to check at the right time because their prices and affordable on every first Saturdays of the month! The lady working was super friendly and helpful, she even told me they do music classes and that the kids are more than welcome to join. Around 11am they have a person doing a science presentation but unfortunately she was running late on her project and I overheard her being kind of rude and not in a good mood so we decided to move on to the next room. They were also selling boba and eggrolls outside, sorry I forget the name of the seller that had their booth there. The kids enjoyed the front area where they can dress up, draw and play with toys. There was also someone selling their 3D printed animals, which the kids loved so I caved and bought them all one plus help support small businesses. Overall it was a nice experience for the kids to enjoy.

He shared fascinating stories and facts about the park (including black bears!), and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. He's kind, patient, and made the whole experience feel personal and special. The telescope tour was amazing -- seeing the planets under Sequoia's dark skies was unforgettable. He explained everything in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. His company may be new, but it won't stay a hidden gem for long. Highly recommend.
