We had our 2024 Silverado in to repair the same issue with the transmission for the second time. The last time we had issues with rental cars not being authorized during the time the parts were received and the time they worked on the truck, When I complained about it, they authorized a loaner from them for no charge. Of course, the truck was ready for pick up the next day. This time when asked about getting a rental AND keeping it between the time the parts were in hand when the truck was done, we were told we could have a rental and Aransas Autoplex would cover 100% of the cost. The paperwork I have in hand even says for the rental, Direct Bill 100%. So, 22 days later when we drop off the rental and pick up the truck, we get charged a deductible of $140.12. Now that can't be a deductible on the warranty repair, so I am guessing that is a deductible for the rental. As I dig deeper, I see Enterprise billed Autoplex $968.00 and $39.38 Vehicle License Fee (Vlf) and Motor Vehicle Rental Tax of $100.74. The latter two total the $140.12. SO HOW IS THAT COVERED 100%? The paperwork my wife picked up when she got the truck said mileage out 19485, except the odometer said 19501 when she got in it. Did they take it for lunch? If that was after test driving it, put the correct mileage on the paperwork. No sense putting a mileage out reading until you know the truck is working correctly. And I should mention that the running board and what I would refer to as the B Pillar on the driver's door were covered with oily residue and hand prints. The door had oil inside and out. I'm debating on recommending or not. Return text messaging was slow, but because I know we aren't the only customers they have, I'll recommend for now. read more

The service manager was fired , the general manager had a guy from the service bay call me back instead of themselves . Aransas Autoplex statement from the service bay guy was that , hey it was not us . The dealer in Houston I went to took pictures of the damaged manifold that they glued back together and charged my insurance for a new one . This is a police matter that if convicted would be a felony. I included a picture because I had the Houston dealer save it for me . We wanted to take time to compliment Nancy, Service Advisor. She went above and beyond helping us. Some background. We are senior citizens and my wife has a new Traverse. We needed warranty work performed on the vehicle and wouldn't you know it, with our luck, We had an extremely bad experience with a chevy dealership in Corpus Christi. They did not keep their word and provided NO customer service as to servicing our vehicle. A friend of ours said to give Aransas Autoplex a try as they were quite pleased with you, so we did. We called and spoke to Nancy. She was very professional, knowledgeable and most of all customer service orientated. She took care of everything, and all with a smile. Excellent Customer Service. She arranged an appointment for us to bring in our new Traverse and as expected the service technician noted a warranty issue with the exhaust. She said she would have the part ordered and let us know when to come back to get it fixed. This was all around a busy July 4 holiday. She talked to me when the part came in and made a return appointment. I brought the car in and in less than a couple of hours, the vehicle had the warranty part installed and work was completed. WOW. She kept me informed while I was there. Its Customer Service like she provided that is spot on. The lack-luster, not to be used again, dealer in Corpus Christi, couldn't spell customer service, much less provide it. Nancy and the others on your team provided customer service as a matter of course. Kudos to Nancy for her knowledge, attitude, and customer service abilities. Terrible customer service! Had an appointment for oil change and inspection. Waited 2 hours and was never approached with any information regarding time. After a 2 hour wait asked about vehicle and manager said work had not been started. Why make an appointment if time is of no essence. Never did any one get up and give us an update as to how long we would be waiting. Not any acknowledgement. We got the inspection and refused to wait any longer for our other services. I miss the days when you could drop off a vehicle and could count on them at least looking at it that day. Now you have to make an appointment and hope they get to it the day you drop it off. Every day I called to see if they would soon be done only to be told it had not been touched. A few days in I was told that's just the drop off day. They are short on mechanics and my car was there over a week for a recall. I wish they would have just told me that it would take over a week before they got to my car instead of it only takes a few hours for that recall. on January 7, 2025 I brought my 2016 GMC Sierra 2500 HD diesel in for an oil change and fuel filter along with a diagnostic on my brakes. I told the service advisor that my front brakes were pulling to the left and needed to be looked at. I told him that I felt unsafe while trying to stop when pulling my fifth wheel down the highway. said he would have a service tech look at it. When I drove the truck back to my RV park, I noticed that my brakes were still pulling to the left. I called and spoke with a woman regarding my concern, I told her that an inspection was done according to the paperwork that I reviewed indicated the brakes were inspected as part of a multi-inspection. I told her the brakes were still pulling to the left. . She told me they were not taking any more appointments at this point and that someone would contact me.. I also noticed that my oil filter was leaking oil when I returned home. Looking at my oil pan It appears that I lost significant oil. I'm really dissatisfied with the lack of service that I received. I've never received a phone call regarding making an appointment to have it looked at. I was told that if I had to come back that it would cost me $185 for a diagnostic fee. I asked her to talk with someone regarding diagnostic fee and let me know when there was a time for me to come in. As I was only here until the end of March, I never heard from them. If I had a failure of my brakes I would have sought legal advice. I am posting another review because of what I was told when I had my oil changed a couple of months ago. I was told that I needed brake pads replaced, and that he would send me a text with a quote for replacement. He quoted me over $600 to have the brake pads replaced. That was a high figure to me, so I decided to change them myself. Lo and behold, when I went to change them, they did not need replaced. My pads were practically brand new. So, by putting my trust in Aransas Autoplex, I purchased brake pads that I did NOT need, and spent time ( which I did NOT need to spend) on replacing brake pads. I purchased a Jeep on 12/30. Within 2 days the service light came on and I experienced a shake while driving. I brought it back up where they had to change the gas tank out for a new one, I also asked them to check the shake. When I picked my car back up they said everything was fine. A few days later my car begins to shake extremely violently causing me to have to pull over until it stops. I called back up only to get the answer of they will do nothing to fix the jeep. My husband went up to speak with them where he was told they have no record of them checking for the shake so I was lied to. I took my jeep to a shop to find out its going to be $2700 to fix. The mechanics told me that it was extremely dangerous to drive in the condition its in and that it never should have been sold in that condition or driven off the lot. All 4 shocks are worn out, all 4 steering tie rod ends worn out, front track bar is worn out and needs an HD steering stabilizer. I would never try to do business with these guys again. I found a GMC Terrain online at this place that fit everything my wife wanted in a new vehicle. I called ahead to confirm that they had the vehicle and made an appointment to go in to look at it with the intention to buy. So my wife and I drove down from Houston on a Saturday to try to get her a new vehicle. When we got there, there were no other customers. We walked in and everyone stopped and stared like they hadn't seen a customer in weeks. The salesman we had spoken with was not there, even though he said he would be. Even so, another gentleman let us look at the vehicle, get in it, and test drive it. And then the runaround began. The new salesman started hemming and hawing about the price of the car, even though I had a firm ask nailed down the day before. That's when he sprang the "let me talk to my sales manager" gag on us. Sure enough, the new price we were quoted was quite a bit higher than the one I had been told over the phone two days before. That, and suddenly the price was contingent upon us using GMAC financing, which I had explicitly stated we did not wish to do. So it all fell apart pretty quickly, and all we had to show for it was a wasted Saturday. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place to a friend. We had already purchased it and were going to put it in ourselves but we didnt have the right socket. We had ordered it but it had been delayed. I'm thinking cool, early in the morning for a simple 20 minute (at most) oil change. 2 hours later and I was still sitting waiting for my vehicle. Now I know why this dealership has such poor ratings. The service representative should have told me to leave my vehicle instead of having me wait for it. NEVER AGAIN. Have a 2006 Jeep Cherokee that had all the warning lights on the dash 'on', the cruise-control not working, and 15 - 25% of the time the transmission would not shift from 2nd to 3rd +. Unless I stopped the car, placed in 'park', turned key 'off', and then re-start it and proceed again. Again 15 - 25% of the time it would continue to act up. (Note: at no time did it ever shift normally and 'then' start acting up while driving.). I had the vehicle towed to Aransas Autoplex in hopes they could diagnosis the issue (hoping it was caused by a wheel sensor). After Aransas Autoplex was NOT able to fix it, claiming "internal transmission issues and right-rear wheel/ABS sensor codes" - "which they said would 'NOT' contribute to transmission issue(s)", and a $125. bill. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *As far as this issue, be looking for my 'edited review' in the future. I did stop by there and talked to the Serv. Run away as far as you can from this place. They give car dealership's a bad name and should be thought of as nothing more than liars and cheats. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and have never, not once, ever ran into a bigger group of cheats in my life. I bought a used vehicle from them last year. A simple process and with the purchase I also bought their extended warranty. The one with all the bells and whistles. Bumper to bumper, the most expensive they had so that I would have no worries. When I picked up the vehicle the A/C goes out, no problem they say we got you covered. I wait 6 hours and finally when the dealership's closing they bring the vehicle out and say if you have any issue's let us know and we will correct since no one is here to go over the vehicle with you. About 10 miles from the dealership a few simple things like, headlights, fuel gauge, and door locks go out. I notify them the next day and was assured all would be okay. The next week the salesman quits and I am left at the mercy of the finance officer ( Joe Zamundio) who instructs me that since I bought the extended warranty t have the repairs made all would be well. After 3 dealership's told me the warranty they sell at the dealership isn't worth the paper it is written on I call Mr. Zamundio who tells me to fix it and they would honor it. The repairman says it looks like they masked the issues so that they would not be noticed until after I left the lot. Three thousand dollars later I am now told by the owner Thomas Gardner that the "warranty" was sold to me by mistake and that they were sorry and would reimburse me the money for the warranty but nothing else. I asked for binding arbitration per their contract and now they are battling that. Nine months later still no money of any kind from them and they have spent thousands battling me by their attorney. These guys are nothing but crooks. Beware and run from them. read more

I dropped my car off for a front end collision repair and told by Chris that my car would be fixed properly in a few days. At the time, i had a noticeable passenger headlight problem and was told that when they removed my bumper they would take a look at the problem. I then asked to be notified when the bumper was removed so that I could photograph the damages for insurance and personal records and if the headlight was to be replaced that I would want the driver side headlight replaced at the same time and would pay for that separately. I was notified two days later by phone that my vehicle was ready to be picked up. I then asked Brandie what the outcome of the headlight was that Chris and I had previously discussed. She asked "what headlight"? I reminded her that they were supposed to check the headlight when the bumper was removed and call me but that never happened. She then said she would check the notes and have someone get back to me. (First time I was told my car was ready and it was not!) Chris called me back the same day and said that they had forgotten about that but he did now remember us previously discussing it. He said he found the headlight to be broken (obviously should have been taken care of previously) and that he would contact my insurance to have them add that on. I received a phone call a few days later that my car was now ready to be picked up. Upon arrival I found that there was significant gap between the bumper and both headlights. The new grille had scratches on it which Chris told me was probably just the way it comes since it is aftermarket (makes no sense). There was (and still is) overspray on the black parts of my bumper (how could this be if they removed it to fix it properly and inspect the headlight)? The passenger side headlight was installed incorrectly and was sticking out over the fender of the car (Chris informed me that it may not fit right because it is not OEM)??? And, the passenger fender was pushed in below the headlight slightly. I told Chris about all of these things and that my car was NOT ready to be picked up. He asked to give him a few minutes and that he would have those things adjusted. I informed him that I would return the next day (Friday) when I got off to check it out. (Second time I was told my car was ready and it was not) Upon returning on Friday I found the headlight to be fixed but all the other problems still existed. I informed Chris that there should not be that amount of bumper gap and the fender was pushed in still. He said that he could not prove that the fender was caused by the accident (obviously, he was not there nor did he cause the accident). I told him my car was not ready and I wanted these things fixed. He then stated "Look the insurance doesn't want to do anything else, they are probably just going to total your car out if you don't take it, then a wrecker will come get it and you'll just have to buy a new one, they didn't even want to do the headlight." I informed him that I would call them if necessary and he said no need, he would notify them. He then told me that most likely they would have to replace the radiator support frame. If it needed that the whole time, why was it never taken into consideration? (Third time I was told my car was ready and it was not) After about a week I was notified for the fourth time that my car was now ready to be picked up. I arrived to get the car and found that they did have to install a new radiator support and other parts to fix the car. The bumper now seemed to be in alignment but the fender is still slightly pushed in below the passenger headlight and there is still overspray on the car. I asked Chris to pop the hood to look at the work that was done. Upon opening the hood, I found the grill to be popping out on one side (Now the fourth time I was told my car was ready and still it was not), Chris asked if he could take it to the back and have them fix the grille and I agreed. I then paid for my so called repairs and took my car home in disappointment knowing that it would not ever be fixed properly by this repair center. When I started my car to leave I noticed the DRL (daytime running light) light was on indicating that I had a bulb burned out from the headlight repair (I paid for a new bulb and installed it myself). I arrived home and upon getting out of my car noticed that the driver side fender had all of the pins removed from it and none of them had been replaced! (I paid for these myself also). I then popped the hood to further check the repairs to the radiator support frame and found where there are bolts missing!!! (Now five times my car has supposedly been ready and still it is not). read more

Very poor service from the service department. I brought my pickup in to get a new fuel filter and have the tires checked for wear. I told the service desk that I was about to drive to California so I needed to know that the tires were in good shape. The service desk recommended a tire rotation which would include checking the tires. After the tire rotation the service technician never tightened the lug nuts!!! Later that day when the wheels started making noise I brought the truck to a repair shop in Rockport. That shop told me that the front lug nuts were loose and the rears were worse - my rear tires had almost fallen off! I have tried to inform Aransas Autoplex via email but they only respond with canned sales calls, they don't even read the messages that anyone sends. Sometimes you just have to share an experience. I am the owner of a 2017 GMC Sierra. It now has just over 12000 miles. The other day, 4:30pm on a Friday, while going UP the Harbor Bridge, near rush hour, I lose gears. What a feeling to have no transmission response. I finally got the truck to move in the lowest gear possible, limping up the bridge. Then I finally got drive 2 and 3 to work but that was all. I limped back to the Aransas AutoPlex, where I bought the vehicle, worried about what I was going to do. Out came Jessie, my salesman. Immediately Jessie sprang into action (as he always does) taking my arm and taking me to the service department where we got with Ashly at the service desk, and then Erick, the service manager. Now it is after 5:00pm on a Friday. I knew with that trio I was in great hands. I felt I was the ONLY person with a problem at that point. Before I knew it, they took control of the situation, logged my truck in, had me in a 'loaner' car for the weekend. However, because of my work, I needed to be in a truck. Erik was on the phone to a rental company immediately to get me one. No luck. I now was told that I could be without my truck for up to 2 weeks. This really let me down. But that did not stop Erik. By Monday morning, he had found me a truck, and by Monday morning at 10am I was in that truck. Throughout the process, Ashly at the service desk kept me totally up to date on repair progress. 3 days earlier than the stated date I got the call from Ashly telling me that my truck was ready. What a pleasant surprise. Bottom line. If you are looking for the experience of buying a new vehicle, the you MUST start with Jessie at the Aransas AutoPlex. If you have an issue with the vehicle after the sale, then you will have the team of Erik and Ashly in the service department there for you. 0900 appointment for my wife's suburban. Aransas autoplex was to change the engine oil , replace a fuse for the 115v outlet and investigate a low tire pressure issue under warranty. Arrived at 2:30 to pick up the vehicle to find nothing had been accomplished in the 5 1/2 hours the vehicle was in there care. The service manager half hearted apologized and offered to make her another appointment. Complete and utter disregard for the customers time wasted during the process.
