I ordered through Uber eats and the restaurant canceled my order after two hrs waiting time, which I end up paying for the cancellation fee.

Absolutely adore this co-op and recently became a member! I'm always discovering new products I've never seen anywhere else. Bulk chocolate-covered blueberries. Locally baked breads. Decaf canned cold brew. And unsurprisingly there are great options for vegetarians, vegans, people with allergies or gluten sensitivity. And so many local products (sometimes apples fresh off of the farm truck!) The staff are helpful too, they even have a manager for the wellness section who can answer questions about vitamins, supplements, etc.

Folks say the TPSS coop is expensive and that can be true. But: I love it for its bargains…read more First, the bulk section. So many everyday and unusual products at a fraction of the price you would pay for the same thing in little bottles, boxes or jars. My favorites are oatmeal and spices. Second, the wine section often has good prices on decent wines. Not easy to find these days. Some of them are organic. And finally, there are some freshly prepared foods that make the co-op a destination store for me. Sushi. And those spicy samosas that are kept in the warmer near the soups. Especially the cabbage one! Apparently they are made by Zemen, the Ethiopian grocery on Maple, so you could also look for them there. That is the co-op the way I experience it. But it is waiting for you to discover your own - the possibilities are endless

Not many cars were in the garage on a Sunday night. I needed milk, but I also came to buy some pastries for breakfast. I got pumpkin scones and almond croissants. Both were good, but not the most flavorful. I'm kind of partial to my French bakeries in Bethesda. However, if parking is always this easy, then I may make this my regular Whole Foods over Downtown Silver Spring. You do need to take a ticket, but then you self stamp your ticket at the machine by the door like the WF in College Park. It was very dark when I exited and took a few wrong turns to get back home the easy way. I will try again!

I walked here to go on a grocery run as my last errand of the day. I have poor eyesight when I do not wear contacts, and I did not wear contacts on this grocery run. Whenever I saw something I was interested in buying, I held it right up to my face to make sure that I had the right item. During this time, something else was right up in my face---the store clerk. A woman had pointed at me and presumably said something negative about me ("He must be a thief! Don't you see that he doesn't have 20/20 vision?") I was just trying to mitigate the effects of my poor eyesight. After that woman pointed at me, the store staff followed me around the store as they would a suspected shoplifter, even though I have been a regular customer for years; literally since the day that this store opened, and far longer than that woman. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience. Is this how you treat your shoppers with disabilities?

I want to give a special shoutout to the international foods Trader Joe sources. This is generally a TJ strong suit, but here I want to mention a few they absolutely nail: Mini samosas: most Indian restaurants in the US serve samosas that have thick doughy shells and are overstuffed with potato filling. But the ones I really love are the Gujarati kind, with thin exteriors and better proportioned, more flavorful filling. This is the kind TJ carries. Oh my heart! Beef Birria: cooked long and slow, so the tomato, vinegar and chili meld into a deep, complex sauce to flavor the beef. The meat itself is so tender it falls easily apart, perfect filling for a tortilla. Takes me right back to Mexico. MultiPurpose Japanese seasoning: I originally bought this to make a seaweed mayonnaise that I wanted to serve with salmon. It turned out beautifully, but pretty soon I was sprinkling the seasoning on all manner of dishes, bringing them alive on my tongue and giving me a new reason for being excited about food!

It's fine if if you need basics and household products for less than big brands. However, if you want more variety, one of the more traditional supermarkets in the area may be a better bet.
