One of the worst experiences of my life. Would never use this venue or recommend it to any of my friends. The food was mediocre at best. Service was worse. The only time you saw a wait staff was when they were clearing half full platters. When asked about coffee you were told to go out to the coffee bar. As a 35 year veteran of restaurant management I would fire someone who did not volunteer to get the coffee for one of my guest. Half and half was non-existent. The wedding cake was cut by staff and they cut the top tier. The top tier is suppose to be for the 1st year anniversary. They only cut 1/4 of the cake and just wrapped the rest. Fantastic Venue... My sister had her wedding here two months ago. They have recently remodeled the entire place and it looks absolutely stunning. Its huge, with 3 levels... Dance floor is big, the stage is big, there is a lot of sitting area (fits almost 400 people).. The outside of the hall is beautiful. They have a nice bar inside, and a nice setup outside with appetizers for people who arrive early and are waiting. Sister had an easy time setting up the date and keeping in touch with management and things went very smoothly for her. The service during the reception was fantastic. We had the best thanksgiving dinner ever thanks to Arbat!!! Wow can't say enough about this amazing place, the food was to die for, was made perfectly on time and it was so clean, and delusions. Never ever ever am I going to cook for thanksgiving ever again. I'm so excited to have my upcoming wedding at Arbat. First, if you've visited in the past year, note that the operations management as recently changed. The old team (which I was uncomfortable with) was let go, and Hovik, the new operations manager (he's actually been there for a while but is taking over operations now) is so nice and very accommodating. It's really great value for price, and the venue itself is very elegant. They recently changed their dance floor to a new, white dance floor, and installed upgraded lighting that was not there when I signed the contract last August. They also have a ton on linen options (different colors and a few textured ones as well). There is a huge bridal suite upstairs, and our chef made us an amazing tasting menu. We're told he used to cook for the Mayflower Hotel in DC. I'll update this review after my wedding reception in October, but for the time being, I just wanted to let folks know that the management went from horrible to AWESOME because of Hovick! read more

This place is awful. First of all, they charge for parking! Should be free! Next it's freezing. The food is thrown together family style. Just a jumble of stuff. My wedding venue took place at Arbat couple months ago and we had such a great experience. Service was amazing, food was sooo delicious and full! The place was clean and all my guests say they had an amazing time. The main thing I loved is they have a huge cocktail area where i was able to customize the lighting, there was appetizers and champagne being served. We had a violinist play and it was icing on top! It is very important to spend your most important event at a great hall, and Arbat was a good choice for us. Side note: my sweet sixteen was at arbat as well 10 years ago! The banquet hall is nothing without a great valet parking service. I realized my purse was missing from my trunk after getting back from a trip. Soon after, contacted the banquet hall when I was told it's not there problem to contact Edmond valet guy. Like first of all if I am invited to this hall and I trust my car with who you leave me to trust it with how you expect me have doubts about handing my car keys to you. If you sold them your valet parking you expect your guests to feel safe whom they give car keys too. Then I speak to this Edmond guy states "oh in my years no ones ever stolen anything". First of all GUY if I trust my car, my belonging to you and I'm 100% I haven't handed my keys to anyone else. Respect my word my honesty and stop doubting me. They stole a very expensive designer bag from my trunk hidden under paperwork SHAME ON YOU GUYS. ARMENIANS STEALING FROM ARMENIANS NOW. Shaking my head no one trust your keys to this Banquet Halls Valet parking they are thief's. The event I had attended that day was a Armenian Doctors event they also stole her $1,500 sun glasses from her car that same night. These people hire unlawful citizens if even legal in the states and have no shame in the stealing game. I SAY THIS TO EVERYONE DO NOT LEAVE ANY VALUABLES IN VEHICLE THESE PEOPLE WILL STEAL IT. This was an unforgettable night at a banquet hall Arbat. We were celebrating NovRuz. Novruz is a national tradition in many countries and is celebrated like the New Year by the astronomic sun calendar. This evening was led by Uzbek diaspora of Los Angeles. This celebration is not religious and is celebrated by everyone who wants. Novruz in 2009 was included in Culture Nation Of Humans. And March 21 is announced as International day Novruz. Celebration was on a very high level and banquet hall Arbat was one hundred percent great and fitting for this celebration. It was really fun and interesting. A lot of delicious foods. There was live music, many musicians came from New York and even from Uzbekistan. Big thanks to the hosts of the celebration Madina and CalState Moving for a celebration that they gifted to us. And Arbat turned out to be the greatest halls for celebration of this grandiose event!!! read more

This place is shady. They tell you one thing and do another. Hovik, the manager is a big time liar He'll promise one thing then call you a few weeks before your wedding and do another. For instance, we were promised that we could setup in the banquet hall the day of the reception, only to be told a week before that there would be lunch there and we couldn't set up. It threw our whole schedule off. Then without telling you, they have this Russian lady come around during the reception day and take pictures and then ask for money for them. Good thing my friend mentioned so we could specifically request not to have that lady around. They also set up a cash bar for alcohol without our knowledge. They are basically trying to make money anyway they can. Also, on the day of our reception they did not serve cake when we requested and their staff kept getting in line of our buffet to take OUR food after being repeatedly being asked not to. They got back in line after being asked the first time. Our coordinators spent alot of time trying to find the manager, Hovik, and could not find him. Our reception litterally stopped since our coordinators "disappeared" looking for him. It basically ruined our night. Hovik is nothing but a sweet talker and a liar. He claimed at the end of the night that he was following the schedule with our cake but clearly it was cut waaaay too late. The only thing this place has going for it is that is very low priced. You get what you pay for. They basically try to pull all this cheesy, unethical things to make ore money. read more

On the day of my wedding everything went smoothly with the ceremony going beautifully and the reception, food, and memories were wonderful but the process in getting things situated wasn't too easy. For one thing being told two different things by two different managers didn't help such ad that children 12 and younger were free when in reality they were charged full price like adults. Second we weren't told till the day of the wedding that our guests had to pay for valet parking. Third my mother in law told the bartender many times that they were mixing up the beers and they ignored her and served the wrong brand. Also we weren't told that there were going to be photographers selling pictures to our guests. We had to shoo them away because we were never told about them and didn't approve of it. Overall Hovick helped me give this place a pretty high rating because he was very helpful, patient, and made us feel welcomed. He made us laugh and tried really hard to accommodate us with our requests especially with having our ceremony there. We were happy with everything especially cause towards the end we dealt with only Hovick. The hall was beautiful and the new dance floor was lovely and my guests were thrilled by how big it was and complimented the vast amount of food and how delicious it all was. read more

Another armenian wedding, aka cough up a c-note for $30/plate crap food and listen to turkish and armenian songs from 1960-2000 with a clueless and stale DJ. Joy. This place was actually nice looking and inviting. I like the 3 level stadium style seating; thankfully we were not close to either party and were seated near the back, the way I prefer to make as little human contact as possible and get plastered with liquor. The entrance is nice on the right side looks like Paris casino in vegas and the sky like caesars. After waiting a ridiculous 2 hours at the stand-up appetizer area (appetizers were surprisingly tasty items but some stinkers as well) finally let us in ballroom. The food is of course not the best...but can you really get good food under $100/plate in this city, so being realistic here. They served it up russian-armenian style, throwing everything but the kitchen sink. The cornish game hen and pork chops were edible. The fish filet wrapped in some mystery shit was disgusting. The every-armo-wedding-baked-mystery-cheese-plate was bit nasty, had some oversalted to death mushrooms and shredded chicken in it. But have had worse. Basket of paper napkins on the table, a first and welcome sight. Tap water didnt taste like lead, pitchers of coke were strong and not watered down. Appetizers are meh as usual, they served a delicious salad with peanuts and a soy sauce type dressing, but too bad the salad was limp as this was best dish on the table. So, one more in the books. Ive had a lot worse than this, so a middle of the pack rating. Oh yeah, valey parking (not a tightwad just go against the principle of guests being charged $7+an obligatory tip to park their car for weddings when they already are giving a gift) but plenty of parking across the street on the sidewalk for free. Of course, heavens forbid an armo with a bmw/mercedes is seen not paying for parking. I didnt give a shit just parked across I dont have that complex. The best place to celebrate an event. Extremely clean, classy, beautiful decor. We enjoy being the there every time we visit. The food is fresh and delicious, the salads are not your run-of the mill boring stuff! I wish they published a cookbook with recipes... The waiters are very attentive and polite without being overwhelming. The whole experience is A+. The Arbat Banquet hall is a beautiful and unique reception hall. Of course there are Pros and Cons. Pros: the hall is very unique, it has a 1920's feel to it, is has a really nice bar as to other halls have little bars that feel like a last minute add on, there is really no bad seat for your guest, they hall have a really nice view of the center of the hall where the main activities occur. Their facility manager, Hovik is a great, fun easy going person to work with. The food made by the reception hall is delicious. We had 400 guests at our wedding and many of our guests have mentioned to us how they really enjoyed the food. Many of the vendors like bakeries and wedding supply renters love working with the Arbat hall as well. Things I wished I would have asked for: to have some of the appetizers be served in the bridal party room as we waited to enter the hall. Cons: the Bridal party room is very hot and we wish there was more air circulating up there. Many of our guests complained to us of other vendors soliciting with flyers and services that we (bride and groom) were not made of ware of and did not authorize. There flyers regarding massage services being passed out during cocktail hour, there were photographers at our venue not hired by the us (bride and groom)taking pictures of our guest, printing the pictures and then selling them to our guest for $15. read more
