TLDR took my laptop to Arbor Computers for webcam issue, they told me it was the motherboard and not worth fixing, returned my laptop with screen falling off and put together incorrectly. I gave them a chance to fix it, they returned the computer still broken and now with cracks in the casing. Now having the time where I did not need the laptop for a while and scared of further damage, I took it to a different store. Here were some of the damages incurred under Arbor Computers care: -Broken backplate -Broken bottom plate -Missing screws -Screen detached and held in place by super thick double sided tape -Damaged cables The business that fixed the damages said they had never seen anything like it and were baffled how Arbor Computers had cocked up such a simply job so badly. They also fixed the camera Arbor Computers deemed unfixable without a $700 motherboard replacement; the motherboard was not the issue, not even close. Once again, if you value your electronics do not take it here, especially not a gaming laptop. They have no idea what they are doing and have no care for client's property. read more

5000 stars for Excellence. My daughter calls on a Saturday from uni urgently needing her computer to be fixed. Classes start Monday (of course). Her laptop was overheating and blue screening over and over. Living 2 1/2 hours from AA, I had no idea where to start. Luckily for me, I read reviews for Arbor Computers and when I called, I spoke with Moin. He said "Bring it in, we will fix it." Fix it they did! Moin and his team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get this device working -- YES, before her first class started!! They pinpointed the problem as an overheating graphics card, which they were able to fix. But even more than that, my daughter had a 1TB SSD installed to replace her almost full 500MB SSD a few days prior. This was done at a very well known big box store - and after we got the computer back, we found that almost all of her data had not been restored. The store couldn't help us get the data back from the old drive for a week, and would need to keep the computer no less than four days. Why do I tell you this? Because I mentioned it to Moin just in passing during the wonderful conversation we had.... And since I had brought the old drive with me, unbelievably, he said "We can get the data restored." And they did! Did I mention they got the device completely back to normal within 2 days? And delivered the laptop directly to my daughter? Mind blown! There is so much more to this story which tells exactly the compassion, competence, professionalism and kindnesss shown to me by Moin and his entire crew. This was not one of, it was THE MOST positive experience I have ever had with any repair of anything. I had an aging laptop that was on its last leg but while I was shopping around for a newer computer, I wanted my current laptop to last longer but its charger port had actually fallen out of the computer itself! I took it into Arbor Computers and the owner, Moin, fixed my port. I sat there chatting with him for about half an our while he fixed it, and he was super friendly, offering me coffee or tea while I waited. I also asked him for advice for what kind of laptop to get next and he gave me very helpful suggestions in accordance with my needs and preferences. Great experience. My computer stopped working, and I called Arbor Computers. They asked if I could bring it in and I did so immediately. They diagnosed a software problem and asked if I would like an upgrade to make the computer more responsive. I said "yes" on Friday and they had it ready for me on Monday. Price was reasonable and they straightened out my anti-virus setup at no extra charge. I've been very happy with the results. My laptop is MUCH more responsive. read more

I visited Arbor Computers for the first time last week to have them diagnose and upgrade my laptop, which had been seizing up, particularly on my Excel files. I found their staff to be welcoming, knowledgeable and consultative, easy to communicate with at my own basic level of expertise. They promised me two day turnaround, and they kept that promise, which is important in that I have no backup computer to use while my laptop is in the shop.
