The market runs from 3 to 6 PM, and when we arrived around 4:30, it wasn't crowded at all, which allowed for great quality time with the vendors. The offerings included Wally's breads, gelato, produce, fresh-cut flowers, pickled goods, pies, Grand Isle Pasta, alcohol, maple syrup, and more. During our time there, we sampled pasta salad, Smuggler's Notch alcohol + maple syrup, and currant simple syrup + jam. We ended up buying bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup, currant simple syrup, garlic scapes pasta, and fresh eggs. Everything was reasonably priced and high quality. There was even live music! Such a nice experience overall, and knowing your supporting local makes it even better!

There were a few vendors that we saw the day before in Burlington, but I love a good farmers market! I loved the cute coffee truck, and would have gotten a drink if we weren't heading to the restaurant. I ended up buying a cute card which I'll frame as a keepsake from our trip. The farmers market is every Sunday, 10 am-2 pm, May through October. Definitely stop by if you're in the area or waiting for brunch at Sneakers!

I'd be a regular if I lived near the farm or anywhere that they distributed to. Second was a spinach and feta pastry from the Flakey Crust. This was a monstrous pastry. It had to be a few pounds heavy. Absolutely packed with filling. It was pricey at over $15, but the portion size was comparable to two or three regular sized pastries. The market is open Saturdays mornings starting at 9 AM.

Friendly staff, scenic views of the rolling hills, and rows of vibrant apple trees that stretch as far as you can see. We picked both Empire and McIntosh apples, and they were crisp, juicy, and perfectly ripe. After picking, we stopped by the barn and bought some Honey Crisp apples to take home, they were just as amazing. The barn also had a great local feel, with fresh cider, jams, and other Vermont-made goodies available. The highlight of the day had to be the fresh cider doughnuts; warm, soft, and coated in cinnamon sugar paired with cold apple cider. To make it even better, there was a live band playing outside, creating such a fun and festive atmosphere. Families were laughing, kids were playing, and everyone seemed to be enjoying the beautiful fall warm day. This was truly a great fall event and the perfect way to spend a weekend in Vermont. Between the beautiful scenery, great music, and delicious apples, we couldn't have asked for a better first visit. We'll definitely be making this an annual tradition!
