I typically write reviews only when I am very satisfied or extremely disappointed with a service. In this case, I'm so happy to give a 5-star review to Arbor Maid. We hired several other cleaning companies prior to Arbor Maid and the crew did shoddy work and/or they were grumpy while cleaning. When the Arbor Maid crew comes to clean (any of the workers - we have had 5-6 different people over the years and they are all amazing) they seem to actually enjoy the work and they do a fantastic job of thoroughly cleaning the house. This tells me the management is careful to treat the workers well, and I'm guessing the workers are paid well for their work too. Three cheers to Arbor Maid! read more

Have used A/M staff for regular household maintenance, heavy cleaning projects (think yards of dingy kitchen and stairway flooring that needed lots of TLC), and many other projects that I just felt too old and tired to do myself. Owner Lindsay is a dream to work with and always willing to go out of her way to accommodate our needs. Staff never seems to mind that we don't have a fixed cleaning routine. We do give them a 'heads-up' ahead of time as to what we'd like worked on during their next visit. After Arbor Maid was recommended by friends in Ann Arbor, we reached out to Lindsay. I love Arbor Maids so much! I hired them during 3rd trimester of my pregnancy and through the first few months of my son's birth since cleaning the house was very difficult. Lindsay the owner is so kind and makes scheduling a breeze and is excellent with communication. The cleaners I worked with were excellent too and did such a thorough job and were so nice and conscientious. The rates are very fair and the whole company is COVID (or nowadays tridemic) conscious so I felt safe having them over even with a newborn. They're locally owned and the cleaners get benefits too which is important for me. They also do handyman services now too! Lindsay & Emily have been cleaning the home of my son & daughter-in-law weekly for many months now and I finally asked them to stop by my place for a deep clean. They're open to weekly, bi-monthly, monthly or whenever you need a deep clean. My place looks and feels fantastic as does my son's place when they clean/shine it up weekly. Lindsay, who I've know from her old workplace, was always thoughtful, conscientious, and honest. She has brought that into her business and included a friend/co-worker who has similar qualities. They tag team the house so their time in your place is half of what it would take one person alone. I sent out a request for a quote for cleaning my studio and within minutes Mark from Arbor Maid messaged me. It was super easy to schedule time and it was a very reasonable rate. I recently moved into an apartment that had not been cleaned by the landlord, and the previous resident was DISGUSTING... after some attempts to clean it myself, I finally gave up an called Arbor Maid, and I am soooo glad that I did! Kelly and Emily were amazing - in about two hours they had the whole place sparkling clean, and no traces of Mr. Icky (as I have nicknamed the previous resident) and his assorted food wastes and bodily substances remained. I am not someone who would ever have thought of hiring a house cleaner had I not been forced into it by this particular situation -- but now that I've worked with Arbor Maid, I can understand the appeal! And their rates are reasonable enough ($35/hr for regular cleaning, $45/hr for move-in/move-out) that I might even end up asking them back at some point for a touch-up when things get busy and I'm behind on cleaning... read more

I had to reschedule my cleaning last minute and they were so accommodating! Lindsay communicated with me before hand about what to expect, what areas I want special cleaning focus, any supply needs, and if I have any preferences/sensitivities to cleaning products.
