I've been to the Heritage House as a guest/attendee a few times - for events both grand and simple…read more- and nothing ever seemed out of place. Easy to find heading east from the interstate on Plaza Drive / Hwy 150, less than a mile after the bend and set back a little from the street. Big fountain up front (which may or may not be gurgling) and plenty of parking in a lot shared with the funeral home around back. The facility itself is clean, simple, and medium fancy; suitable for quiet dignified affairs but easily dressed up for elegance or extravagance and there's a patio around the fountain if the weather is agreeable, also has a large canopied entrance fronting a foyer if the weather turns foul. The kitchen is equipped with coolers, heaters, ice machine and dish washer to handle your food service needs. Last time in was for an anniversary party seating 100+ people plus a two-line buffet with space enough for dancing and cavorting into the evening. I can't say as how I cared much for the music selection but that's more on the hostess than the facility.

We found The Heritage House via google. Our first contact was with a very pleasant woman named Andrea. She answered every question I had without rushing me and then offered a tour of the event space. The Venue was very easy to locate and looked nice from the outside with a big fountain out front Perfect for pictures. When we first walked in the building it smelt and looked very clean(which was very important to me). Andrea was as pleasant in person as on the phone and everything she said about the space was accurate from the big screen TVs and kitchen to a sound system and other modern amenities. Simply put this Venue was everything we were looking for to make our special day amazing, Thank you Andrea and Heritage House LaDonnia and Jeffrey

They were accommodating and helpful and made sure our special day was perfect. The venue is very clean; floors shine. Big prep kitchen; lots of space for caterer and their team. Upstairs loft has lots of room and was a great space for our DJ. The owners listen to what you want in a venue and worked with us throughout our planning. We booked the venue in March for an October wedding and the venue staff kept in touch with us. There was an event the night before our morning wedding and the venue was immaculate. We were impressed; no sign of the previous event. I recommend this venue for your event. Beautiful property with great owners! Enjoy!

After she made the mistake of not setting up the correct number of chairs/tables, Kathy condescendingly kept telling the bride to "calm down." The bridal party was up until 11 PM the night before the wedding fixing her mistake. She was not the least bit apologetic. On the wedding day, Kathy also felt the need to stop, in the middle of taking photos, to let me know that I was doing a good job hiding my bigger body behind the skinny girls when posing for photos. I am not sure why this crude woman felt the need to make a negative comment about MY body. I was going to just move on and let this go, until I heard from multiple other people that she had also body shamed them and their friends. This is the happy groom of a dream wedding!…read more My new wife and I are proud foodies and we eat in very high end restaurants. We shopped around through about 5 different well-known caterers in Charlotte, NC. None of the caterer's scored very high on our score card (and yeah, that's right we made a score card...wedding's are expensive and we weren't going to chance something as important as food). Then...our wedding planner pointed us to one final option. Mellorina's Catering Llc. Talk about an unexpected location. But I will testify Mel is a true pearl hidden in the depths of the ocean. Her professionalism, her prices, her food...OMG HER FOOD!!!!! I was born and raised in the south and I have not tasted chicken that tasted that good in my entire life. She is so flexible too. She made us a curry tofu dish, she made us a carribbean rice & peas, she made the most amazing mac & cheese, delectable corn bread, flawless dinner rolls. This woman's food is serious, she should be a 5 star chef, with her own restaurant, cooking books, the whole nine yards. All in all, if you want to know what caterer to use for your event in Charlotte, NC (or any surrounding areas) please stop wasting your time, stop searching, and find Mel. Find her catering company, and do whatever you have to do to get her on the books. There were many things that fell into place to make our wedding a dream come true. But one of the main reasons is because of the food & service from : Mellorina's Catering Llc You don't believe me, give the food a taste and see for yourself
