Since I'd never done this before I was hesitant to trust my little friend to strangers. My pup passed her meet-and-greet with flying colors, and it eased a good measure of my discomfort. After having boarded her several times now, were BOTH happy with their staff and services. I never worry about her while she's there, and I often forget to even check in on her (except when my grandkids ask if we can see her!). Now when I pack her things, she knows where she's going, and it's not uncommon for her to be too excited to eat or drink, and even if I'm not ready to leave she'll get in the car and won't get out. We're both happy we found Four Paws Hotel and Day Resort! (I referred my sister to them, and now her dog is a regular when she leaves town as well.)

Heard about how this place went to Check it out with Rocky and we all fell in love. Extremely roomy kennels, heated and air conditioned. They have an air exchanger that totally changes the air at least three times a day! They will pamper your pet to pieces. They get to go out and (your choice) with or without other dogs. They go out at least 6 times a day or more. The floors are warmed and comfortable even for us to walk on. Cats are in their element, from what we saw. Rocky had such a good time that when we came to pick him up, he did his happy dance. For a few minutes then went right back to the gal that we were talking to, looked at us as if to,say, ok. See you later and turned to her! Of course he was really glad when we put him in the car, but this place takes fantastic care of your pets and really cares for them! Very very reasonable, they also have ,a groomer, we requested a bath nail trim and a shave. He was so spiffed up and looked so cute it's not funny, They are located in Metamora and have a huge outdoor fenced area, that the pups can play in. We will definitely be using them again and have been telling everyone about them. They also have doggy day care! Terrific. So glad we found it. The staff is terrific and it shows that they all love animals! If you are looking for a place, This is it!!!

They reopened at a new location and we attempted to give them the benefit of the doubt- but between booking and arriving no one reached out to tell us a piece of documentation was missing from our vet and we had to leave with our dog and figure out same day care plans for her. So all around complete lack of communication in our experience. Will have to find a new place.

I appreciate the pics on the Facebook page, seeing her playing with her pals is comforting. They are very, very good at putting "like" personalities together for a cohesive group. At other places we've tried dogs were grouped by size without regard to temperament. My girl is midsized but mellow. When she isn't as mellow she is transferred to the more energetic group. I love the drop in play care as sometimes plans change last minute. They're always great about offering exit baths which is great as well. Would highly recommend.

The only thing I didn't like was their policy regarding bathroom time. The expectation was that dogs just go inside the building. There were no outdoor bathroom breaks in the winter. The employee explained they only take the dogs out in the warmer months. I saw an employee walking around with a mop keeping things cleaned up so the place was not unclean. My concern, and perhaps unfounded, was my dog would get confused and start having accidents at home. It just seemed a strange policy to me.

I have to say that I was concerned how well he would do. A few days before dropping him off, I took Spanky for a tour of the kennel facilities and we were both impressed. I loved how clean everything was, both in and outside. Spanky must have been impressed as well because he wasn't nervous even a little bit. A few days after leaving him with Lisa & Randy, I called to see how Spanky was doing, and was reassured that he was just fine. Lisa even took a few pictures of Spanky and emailed them to me! He looked so happy. When we picked him up, it almost seemed like he didn't want his "vacation" to end. Anytime I have to him boarded in the future, he'll be staying at Wag & Purr. There's no doubt about that.

This is a review for dog walking, doggy daycare, and dog boarding…read more I found Peaceable Pets after a very thorough vetting (I am convinced I should have been cast in the movie Best in Show--yes, that is how much of a crazy dog lady I consider myself). Time and again, people on the Ann Arbor Dog Owners Facebook group mentioned Peaceable Pets. I read all the reviews, stalked Peaceable Pet's Facebook page (where Robin posts videos of her guests and informative articles about all things animals), scrutinized the information on her website, did a meet and greet with Marcy, our dog walker, a play date at the Dellwood Doggy Ranch (required for doggy daycare and boarders). I give it 10/10 stars. Peaceable Pets is an Ann Arbor treasure. You will not find someone more knowledgeable about dogs than Robin. Some reasons I love what Robin offers: 1. She understands my dog's unique personality, quirks, and needs. 2. She prioritizes the safety, well-being, and quality of life for my dog. 3. The pick-up and drop-off times worked well with my schedule, which was variable for a while, and then predictable for another while. 4. I trust her 100%. 5. Every time I bring Hagrid to her, he bounds toward her and doesn't even look back to say goodbye. Every dog parent knows that is a good sign. 6. Hagrid is calm and content when he returns from daycare. ...I could go on and on. As for dog walking, Marcy was wonderful and reliable. A few times I bumped into Marcy while I was walking Hagrid and saw his entire body language and vocalization over his joy of seeing Marcy. There is no stronger endorsement than that, in my opinion. To top it all off, Robin and Marcy have really interesting personalities, back stories, and talents when they are not caring for our beloved animals. Marcy speaks French. Robin sings in a band. They are the absolute best.

The…read morestaff is knowledgeable of pet behavior and seem to genuinely care about the pets they board. I like that they require proof of immunizations & a negative stool test (a test that is performed yearly as part of routine health exam by your Vet) before your pet can be boarded (this policy decreases the likelihood that your pet will contract an illness while there)! You can request daily play time/walk for your pet for a small additional fee. A bath is included in the boarding fee if your pet is there for a minimum number of days (I forget the number-I think it's 5 days-check the website to be sure). An added plus, the new owner is a Vet Tech. I would not board my pet any where else!
