I don't eat a ton of fast food, but Arby's is definitely one of my favs. And this experience delivered. It was great. Hot, fresh, tasty food. Served fast and with a smile. Clean restaurant. Abundant fries (LOVE their crinkle fries) and Diet Dr Pepper. I'm all in. Well done, Arby's!

THIS PPACE HAS SERVED ME RAW CHICKEN TWICE NOW. The first time I thought maybe it was just an off day so I let it go. But I went back tonight after s few months and they have served me raw chicken again. This is hazardous to my health and the health of everyone else who has been served raw chicken. Salmonella, anyone?? I'm so disappointed.

I could muster an unoriginal joke regarding the how big of a mouth you need for a big mouth…read moresandwich. Consider yourself spared. I shall jump straight to the good stuff: the sandwiches. Listen, st louis has no shortage of sandwich shops, so to be successful you need to offer a unique enough product that is still approachable, and reliable. Big mouth has mastered the game. The menu is inundated with options inspired by tried and true classics. However, they do not stop there. Each sandwich is inventive enough to create some separation from it's origin. This keeps the experimenters happy, while also catering to the more tame of tastebuds. I went prosciutto. It was incredible. Thin pear, whipped ricotta, pesto, and that salty, thin prosciutto. Every bite gave me a little something different. Some bite had a big crunch full of juicy pear accentuated by the tang of balsamic. Others had a bit of sweetness from the sugars released in the pear juice and caught by the vibrant pesto. Some bite were buttery, with the help of the prosciutto sliced thin enough to read all of the perennial accolades adorning the back wall. The focaccia is art. A dark crust, one you do not see on focaccia. With mega flakes of sea salt. It was fresh out the toaster so as i gripped my sandwich warmth was sent from the tips of my fingers throughout my body as every bite delivered a crunch i am certain the folks dining outside could hear. First of all, I knew I was doing well because of the traffic coming in and out while I waited (ever so briefly) for a table. I wanted that delicious St. Louis style pizza, and Liliana's delivered on my expectations. The cheese was perfect, the toppings exactly as I would hope, and it did not hurt that I had some leftovers. I also ordered a Caesar salad and a House red. So many places under-deliver on Caesar salads these days that I tend to be cautious when ordering. This one was delicious. It hit all the high notes. As for the ambiance, the dining room could've walked right out of the 70s, plopped itself down in 2026, and manage not to look out of place. Service was spot-on, the food did not take too long, and I thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Next trip tom St. Louis, I'm stopping here again!

The wife and I finally made it to Zanti's Deli, a place we've been wanting to try for a few months,…read moreespecially since I saw photos of their pastrami, my favorite meat. I love me some reuben, corned beef or pastrami but on the board today they had pastrami and grilled onions on rye so I decided to give it a try, substituting french roll for the rye, choosing spicy mustard over their white sauce. Karla is an admittedly very picky eater, choosing a simple ham and cheddar on sour dough. The restaurant is fairly small, maybe three or four small tables, but we arrived mid afternoon and quickly found an empty table. Ambiance is best described as "we encourage take-out". Owner Jami was at the counter and she is truly awesome; kind, patient, friendly, the whole nine yards. Let there be no doubt the pastrami was the star of the show. Holy cow it was so very tender and juicy AND flavorful, some of the best pastrami I've ever had. I was initially disappointed that it wasn't sliced deli thin like one of my favorites, Carl's Deli, but my disappointment faded immediately upon first bite. Wow! This may be my new favorite pastrami in the metro. Thick cut was definitely the right move for this house made pastrami. Jami threw in a small cup of their white sauce to try and I'm so glad she did. If you like a mild but flavorful horseradish sauce, you won't be disappointed by their white sauce. Karla really enjoyed the ham and cheese. The ham was so plentiful, we took some off of the sandwich and brought it home with us to make another sandwich out of. She would have much preferred Texas toast over the sourdough but she said the sandwich was nonetheless tasty with flavorful ham. Both sandwiches came with a side of pasta salad. Full disclosure, I'm not a cold pasta salad fan but it was tasty. Karla absolutely loved the pasta salad with its sweet and slightly tangy dressing. Overall, a super wonderful experience. We plan to return soon to try other things on the menu but I've gotta be honest. It's going to be tough for me to skip the pastrami.

We chose Salt + Smoke because it was nearby and usually BBQ is pretty doable for her. When we got to our table, we were both amazed that Salt + Smoke has a FULL allergen-friendly menu, not only gluten like many places will have nowadays. And our server was super patient and understanding of our needs as well. GF was able to easily select an entree and sides that she could safely enjoy, including the amazing deviled eggs. When our entrees came out, they were amazing also -- I highly recommend the brisket grilled cheese and the popovers. We both had plenty of leftovers for another meal too. Finally, the space inside the restaurant is really well done: very modern and open, but comfortable as well. We were in there the day that Dolly Parton passed away also and they were playing many of her hits over the sound system, which was a nice gesture.

Anyone that's ever won something in a team setting knows how hard it is for a team to mesh, play together, learn from one another, etc. It's not something that's done over night. It happens in the offseason, during two-a-days, and at 6pm during the evening rush on a Friday night. I'm not saying salt + smoke couldn't win a championship right now. They have the makings of a great team. They just haven't learned to play together. Ribs falling off the bone, that's your quarterback. You want a guy that will take a swing on a deep ball without barbecue sauce. Fatty brisket, that's your left tackle. You expect them to be the saving grace of a meal through consistency and flavor. But don't forget how important coaching is. You can't just have talented players. You need more salt and less smoke. It's called accountability. Now I say this all to say that my 1.5 year old toddler ate more food than she'd eaten the last week. As a dad, if she's happy, I'm happy. So, I'd recommend to any family. But as a yelp elitist, I'd wait a little longer for the team to become championship caliber.
