I placed an order online for 2 meals for dinner and lunch. It was ready when I arrived. The restaurant was a little busy. The dining area was clean. I ordered a Mcalister's Club Wrap (very good) with Doritos (which were not in my bag and I had to drive back to the store to get them), Chipotle Chicken Chicken & Bacon Spud (totally flavorless), Colossal Carrot Cake (delicious & moist) and the Peach Cobbler Cheesecake (frozen solid). The staff brings your food to your table and will bring you what you need if it's not at your table or missing from your order when they bring it out. It is nice and clean with plenty of tables. No, they're way overpriced. I guess like a lot of the other sub shops they want too much money I mean you go in to get a sandwich chips and a soda has $16 or something when there's places like Red Robin you can go and get a double cheeseburger bottomless fries and drink for 999 or Chinese buffet for about $13. I stopped in to McAlister's for a quick bite before I had to be somewhere. I ordered the Justaspud® ($6.49) and added bacon ($1.75) and Cheddar Jack Cheese ($1.50). What I received was 2 baked potatoes with maybe 2 tablespoons of cheese and maybe 1 strip of bacon. The place was very busy with third party delivery orders. It was dry and sad. It took a while to order and a while to receive the food as well. I doubt I'd come back here. read more

I visited this establishment in the early afternoon on a weekday. It is usually quite busy inside, and today was no different. I waited in a quick moving line, the cashiers are very efficient. I tried the reuben sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. I asked for extra pickles, but didn't get them. The Reuben had the meat piled high, but I could barely taste any sauerkraut or dressing. I wish it were more balanced in flavor. The Mac n cheese was hot and creamy, but lacked any flavor at all until I added salt and pepper from the shakers at the table. Even then, it could have used some Sriracha or garlic powder. Next time, I'll stick with a bag of chips instead of trying to branch out. This visit was slightly disappointing because my meal was bland in flavor. Hope next time is better. read more

My rating is on their catering services. It is not recommended on their site, that you size up on all Bundles, but when you are ordering one, you are ONLY getting 1 (1/2) sandwich per order, and they are NOT big sandwiches. Every time that I've ordered from this place, I've never had any issues I've ordered from this place at least five times. I've had the broccoli cheddar soup, I've had the southwestern salad that comes with the lime vinaigrette. I think that's the salad. I've also had the loaded potatoes, and I've had sandwiches from there. I've never had an issue. The service is adequate. The inside of the lobby is pretty clean. Terrible... we haven't been for a long time we used to go all the time! I went in and ordered to go and waited 40 minutes for my food, I had to go up to the counter and ask where my food was and told them it had been 30 minutes. The guy couldn't find my ticket I guess they had it in the back??!! Didn't say sorry can I get you anything while you wait or it'll be just a few more minutes nothing... finally got my order 10 minutes later said he was sorry and that it's been a day. However, I am here hoping the manager gets this corrected as our business' need all the good reviews and customers they can carry in and out the door. While in the building picking up a carry-out yesterday .....side note it was amazing at the carry-out business this place has.......GOOD FOR THEM!! My family were the only customers in this restaurant on a Saturday. We asked about the huge sign they had saying 'kids eat free' for Halloween. We asked how to sign up, and the cashier said, "that takes time and stuff". (I case you wonder why you're making minimum wage.) The cashier then proceeded to mess up our entire order. This is probably my new favorite lunch spot! I had pre looked up their menu before I arrived and let's just say I was already drooling over a lot of the options, when I arrived to this location I couldn't believe how big it was on the inside and I liked the dining area it seems a little more fancier than a traditional fast-food spot. I had decided to do the choose 2 option I got the Spud Ole a baked potato which is just a traditional baked potato topped with chilli, cheese, and jalapenos, it was really good probably could have used some sour cream though and my second choice was the turkey melt sandwich I believe I think I'm butchering that name but it was on like Panini bread and it was a hot turkey sandwich and it had bacon on it too it was really good as well I love how thinly slice of turkey was now my only complaint was I felt that the portions were a little smaller than they could have been because when I saw how huge the portions were for an original price item I think they could like meet somewhere in the middle on that. I finished and it wasn't like I was hungry when I left but I wasn't full either I still could have probably had a little more and the drink that I got was a really nice size and they refilled it for me they brought my food to the table it was just an overall great experience I will definitely be choosing McAlister's for my lunch more often there's a few other items I'm interested in trying like the baked potatoe soup, the salads, there's just so many options that I have to try. read more

This was an interesting stumble... The family was ravenous after our Sunday hike at Cave Cliff. The menu options all sounded great. We went for the turkey club and the "pick 2" (turkey melt and Cobb salad). Both were great! The kids got Mac and cheese and when we sat down we looked at our bill. KIDS EAT FREE! Go early, go often! This place gets busy so go before noon or after 2 if you can. The menu is large, the portions are huge and the refills of amazing sweet tea are free. The Big Nasty sandwich is a heavy comfort meal served on the lightest crusty roll in St Louis, I highly recommend it. The baked potatoes come in varieties ranging from naked to meat stuffed. My daughter asked me to go. I was told that it is similar to Panera. They are know for their sweet tea, since I am not a fan I will take everyone's word for it. The line was long, but it moved quickly. Lots of menu options. I picked the smoked jerk turkey and mac & cheese. Once we ordered we tried to find a clean table, yeah not a clean table in the place.
