This Arc overprices items double what they should. I don't think they have a clue what is fair price for used items. I have numerous times found items priced for more than what they are new. I have found items on the floor that are priced more than they would be if you purchased second hand on ebay or other online sales. They have taken away the point of thrift shopping and find a good deal. read more

I am writing regarding a scheduled donation pickup that did not occur and was later found to have been canceled without notification. I received an initial confirmation for a pickup that included no large furniture, only small items, clothing, and household goods. On the scheduled day, I had approximately 30 items prepared outside for pickup. When no one arrived, I called after 2:00 PM to check the status. I was told there was no way to track the truck, which I understood, and I assumed the pickup would still occur before 5:00 PM. Later, I received a return call indicating my reservation could not be located. After checking with a supervisor, I was informed that my pickup had been canceled because only a large truck was available and the pickup required large furniture items. However, this conflicts with my original confirmation, which clearly specified that no large furniture was included. I understand that operational issues happen, and I have no issue with a pickup being canceled if necessary. My concern is that no cancellation notice (email or text) was sent. Without an update, there was no way for me to know the pickup had been canceled. I have since rescheduled my donation elsewhere, so there is no harm done. I simply wanted to suggest that if a pickup is canceled, a notification be sent to avoid confusion in the future. Thank you read more

They also helped me locate a long sought humidifier (and a left handed hockey stick). I applaud your mission, however, it needs some fine tuning - the last time I visited the store on Alameda, in Lakewood, trhe checkout line is so bad - the experience, time, and frustration is so great, that I ended up putting the merchandise back, and walking out. For the record, it was the same way 3 years ago. Weekends are packed, there is no reason that you can not get more staff and cashiers. Pay them a decent wage - or more. read more

TERRIBLE location. They have a 5-item limit in dressing rooms. I get it cause shoplifting. An employee tells me to leave the rest of my clothes on this rack outside the room while i try the first 5 things on. I come out and all my other clothes are gone. They barely tried to help and instead just said they didnt know the clothes were mine. apparently i was supposed to notify everyone in the store that those were my clothes that i wanted to try on. So its my fault??? I get the 5 item rule but jfc create a better system. Waste of my time wont be going back to any Arcs for a while if ever again. I lost my earrings while shopping yesterday. Betty, one of the employees, helped me find them, patiently opening every dressing room door to let me peer inside. She gave me tips on where else to look after finding one. Found them both! She then checked me out, stopping what she was doing. Betty made what could have been a disappointing shopping trip a good day. The store was clean and well organized. I will return to shop another day, minus earrings. read more

This place is huge. It was clean and organized well. We had an overall good time going through it but I will say, everything is priced high compared to other Arc stores in the area. I saw a table in there for around $400 which was a bit unbelievable for me. The only interaction we had outside of the front desk for checkout was when my partner was digging thru a bin and an employee said that it was trash which nothing appeared to be broken so we just assumed it was the employees pickings. read more

Let me paint you a little picture of the ARC experience. All of their stores smell like body odor and a stale fart, despite the abundance of large air fresheners on the walls. The racks are consistently a disaster and their employees seem to hate their lives. Customer service is nonexistent, fitting rooms are frequently closed, and their pricing structure is all over the place. For an organization that has so much potential and a strong mission, they continue to disappoint. I suppose you need to ask yourself - is it worth having this kind of shopping experience just to save a few bucks? Not for me... read more

The parking lot is huge. Prices are kinda high unless you get a half off color. The store is organized by size which is a plus. They employee people with disabilities which makes me feel better about paying higher than average prices. read more

Used to be: Brand new SB fiction priced at $3.49- ref books rarely above $3.99. Great rare books,and classics, comics below market. Well organized book section. Could not believe the audacity of this store. These items were donated to them and they find it necessary to charge as if it is high end or new. I had to walk out after I seen a beautiful vase with artificial flowers. Each flower was individually priced at 2.99. They also find it necessary to individually price any set of dishes. One plate for 5.99? A donated coach purse for 399? You can go to an outlet and get a new one for that price. Second hand stores should be affordable for people. Will never go back. read more

Lots of great used items, which is great! The only thing I'd ask you to do is CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! They will either charge you extra or won't even give you discounts when you should be getting the discount for whichever color it is that day. I like coming here, but since it's happened to me three time already within the last two weeks (at most Arc Thrift Stores), I don't shop here unless it's necessary. read more

This place is huge and has some of everything. They employ people with disabilities which I think is great. A portion of there sales go to helping people with disabilities. A lot of companies don't do that. I originally went there for snow pants. I found some and that color tag happened to be 1/2 price which was even better. Everything was neat and organized. My suggestion if you go try going when most of the color tags are 1/2 off. Some of the items were pretty pricy. read more

Obviously nobody gives a crap that my stuff was thrown away I never ever ever would've thrown any of my stuff away it was all like brand new there was no tears no stains no nothing was wrong with anything that I donated and that one item was put on the shelves at the Arc Thrift Store do not take your stuff there if you have emotional value to it a lot of the stuff was my mothers and then I had brand new shoes I mean they were like there was like 20 pair and not one was put on the shelves there is pictures there is Knickknacks they did not put anything up so it obviously got thrown away by the lazy people that were checking it in and again they didn't even meet me at the door they just looked at me and went inside it was like they didn't want to work so they tossed my valuable stuff that I thought somebody else would enjoy in the trash. Since the remodel I enjoy this place. I think it's important to remember to keep your expectations appropriate for that of a thrift-store, and you will be fine. Saturday's is the best time, 50% off almost everything, I've had good luck! read more

First of all let me just say I am currently without transportation therefore I walk a lot of places with my backpack which is a Briggs & Riley and also contains things that I definitely can't afford to lose. I regularly stop in just to see if they have anything affordablly priced so they recognize me and still require me to leave my backpack unattended at the front of the store. The backpack alone is worth more than anything in that store, which says something because they are ridiculously overpriced. These items cost them nothing and for them to 1st of all peg me as some sort of thief and also be priced outrageously keeping the matches to their overpriced used shoes locked away, is asinine. These people really need to adjust their prices. The way they are perceived to the community is as greedy unreasonable assholes. I'm not going to leave my backpack anywhere bc that's just stupid. I'm not a thief and even if I were you didn't pay anything for any item in that store so it would be no loss to you whereas my backpack would be irreplaceable. So get it together for your own sake. read more

I mean what can I say?? This thrifty store is fun to dig through and find some gems ! We came here on MLK day and most tags are 50% off!! We spent like 2hours here and I found so many things I'm pregnant so I want to find cheap clothes that I can give away after as well! All throughout your shopping experience your being reminded of how to just look around to see many staff always cleaning and disinfecting. Nope. Never saw that. All 3 times I've been this month. Also, if so "on top of keeping things disinfected" are we unable to try on used clothes that rarely reflect what the tag size states anymore? This location is a bit better than most when it comes to having a tolerable staff. Employees here seem to be fairly pleasant, fortunately. The selection here is decent and the location is great. My only issue with this store (and all other ARCs) is the prices. It's becoming almost impossible to justify shopping at ARC. A perfect example, a brand new set of sheets from Ross with tag intact- $11.99, ARC price tag $19.99!!! Someone please explain how this makes sense! I have one word, LAZY! I sent them an antique wing chair and great condition, probably worth a few hundred dollars. The 16 years at intake didn't even look at the chair that was still hanging out of the trunk and without hesitation said "we are gonna have to pass up on this bad boy, there are some scratches on the wood" then they told her to bring it to Habitat for Humanity! There are a few light scratches on the legs from vacuum cleaners as does any furniture that's not brand new. I guess I'll sell it myself. Don't bother bringing anything there because they'll probably reject it and don't bother shopping there because they're passing up quality furniture and who knows what else they pass up. I bring arc nice stuff, that's the first time I tried this arc and it'll be the last. read more

I've been to this store many times, it is within walking distance of my home. I have always been impressed with this store. It always appears clean, well organized, and the employees are friendly and appear to enjoy their jobs. I love coming here on Saturdays because a ton of stuff is 50% off. I end up getting most of my kids books that day because some can be as cheap as 30 some cents each! I also recently bought a couch here for half off, the total was only $37 I couldn't believe it! I like the quality of the items they set out here as well. I have never noticed anything broken. Occasionally I see something a little overpriced but overall this is an excellent store to shop at to find good deals on great stuff. read more

All the fitting rooms are closed so you aren't allowed to try anything on. Arc will not refund your money if something doesn't fit will only give you store credit. I tried to return a piece of clothing 12 days after I bought it and the refused to give me a credit. Will only credit if brought back within 10 days. Arc needs to change their return policy since you are no longer allowed to try on clothes. I will no longer be doing business or donating to these SCAM artists. And to the miserable old hag cashier that called me a b@&ch as I walked out... how would you feel if someone stole your money? That's what you just did to me!!! read more

THE BEST THRIFT STORE! I had to stop myself before I would've bought so much stuff that I wouldn't have been able to fit it into my suitcase home. They literally have everything here: clothes, kitchenwares, rugs, accessories....I even found women's cycling clothes! The staff is also friendly but there's not a lot of them so don't expect a bunch of help finding anything. read more

One of my regular stops when going on thrift store hunts. Large, clean, quiet. Not overly crowded. I have only shopped before closing on weeknights, however. Employees are friendly enough. I like that I can relax while going through the racks instead of dealing with shoppers madly tearing down aisles, using their carts to push their way past you. I hit as many ARC thrift stores in Denver as I can when I am there. I have three big kiddos and can always find awesome deals. Twice I have bought enough clothes for the kids to take home in a carry on to Sacramento- and bought the carry on there, too. That is how good they are. Clean, organized, and great selection on everything you are looking for. Only one of the stores in the Denver area have I been disappointed with... I have even got lucky with expensive uniforms skorts in my kiddos' required plaid! read more
