After a lot of driving, my fiancé and I were famished. A word I never really use but want to illustrate just how hungry we were. After we sat, we were wondering where our waitress was. We must have been sitting alone for around 5 to 10 minutes. She walks up and just stands there. I said, "Hello?" She gives a fake smile and says, "What can I get you?" Red flag right off the bat. Brushing it aside and how hungry we were, we ordered. Food did arrive much faster but people, it was below luke warm temp. Borderline cold. Plus it was very salty. Needed ketchup and pepper to kind of hide the taste. My fiancé wanted to leave but I wanted to stay, eat and get back home. Well, we should have went somewhere else. Needless to say, never coming here again. If it goes under, I will not wonder why. read more

Breakfast food is great, burger gave made my stomach a little sick but that could've been anything so i'm not saying that it was the burger for sure but the place is clean, prices are a little steep, workers are rude and nice depends who you get as a waitress. read more

All the food was cold. The greasy mushrooms gave everyone a stomach ache. The chorizo and eggs were dry (dry eggs?). The soda from of the fountain was flat. The server seemed annoyed we were there. Good memories from long ago don't always turn into a good meal today. read more

Our waitress was very rude and seemed annoyed with my friend and I. It was our first time dinning in and we were not familiar with the menu. Part of our meals that we ordered included salads. The salads must have been so good because they never even made it to our table. The food was decent and priced fairly. So on top of not receiving our entire meal and the rude attitude of the waitress, I would suggest going somewhere else to eat. Holy cow! Breakfast was the bomb. If you order a skillet or an omelet be prepared to be full! Nice little family restaurant. Nice wait staff food cooked very well. Definitely need to eat here. Those of us in our group of 6 had pancakes and mentioned how good they were. Not like an average pancake creamier better. Yum! read more

This is my favorite hometown restaurant that features everything. You can get breakfast all day. It was recently remodeled and has a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good and bottomless coffee and soft drinks. They also serve beer. Carry out is available. If you are in a hurry or want a window seat to have coffee and watch the snow fall all afternoon, this is the restaurant! read more

We stopped here on our way home to Alabama. I ordered the Paxton Burrito. Wow! It was HUGE. I could only eat half. My husband got the Paxton Omelet and it was also very big. The food was great! Loved the music that was playing too! read more

This family-owned and family-run restaurant on Paxton's main street is a great find. For the money, a great deal for breakfast. Our table enjoyed three skillet breakfasts and one corned beef hash. Everything was delicious and served with a smile. We visited from Champaign on a Sunday morning on drive to Chicago after all Champaign breakfast places had one hour waits. We may make Arcade part of our Illini Football tradition. read more

This is great diner food. The menu offers a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. When I crave a chicken fried steak, I head into the Arcade. The breakfast skillets are delicious and you can pretty much have anything you like in the skillet. The reuben sandwich is also a favorite. The Mexican options are also really worth giving a try. The staff and owners are friendly and accommodating. I have never had a bad meal here in the 10 years I have been coming in to dine. read more

I've eaten at the Arcade many times, I was pleasantly surprised by a recent remodel. love the breakfasts, especially the omelets and biscuits and gravy. All ingredients are fresh and made to order. For lunch I enjoy the many specialty burgers w/ steak fries. Lastly, I love the fried chicken and a cold beer. If they aren't famous for the chicken, they should be!! read more
