To start off waiter is annoying and she said "do you know what you wnat" and we said yes and then she said "tell me" ummm miss girl that's kinda rude! Then she said she got "stuck in the kitchen" but we could literally hear her talking! The FOOD was pretty good! But we had to get our own napkins bec her ass wouldn't comeback for 30 minutes! The atmosphere it was dirty the blinds nasty and gross!

We had eaten here a few months ago and liked it so much we drove back today for a birthday celebration(1 1/2 hrs). Had same appetizers fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms- yummy!! We got fried walleye sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, walleye basket all with onions strings. Also had a blackened salmon salad. Waitress was helpful and room was bright and comfortable. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

In the area on a work mission trip. 30 member team dined there for our mid week break. Nice dining room for the team to eat in. Page was on her own for our group and was keeping drinks filled, answering questions about menu items and helping diners chose between many great options! Burgers sounded really good...and half a pound sandwich sounded right. Juicy burger, great sweet potato fries and a good bbq sauce for both. Didn't hear a bad review from anyone one the team! Too much burger for dessert, though.

My friend Judy and I had lunch in this 1800's house in Jackson, Ohio. It is decorated beautifully and is a very comfortable place to enjoy a meal. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They are breaded then topped with hot honey, bacon and green onions. It was served with a side of pimento cheese. Delicious! Judy had the Chicken and Spinach salad. I had the Ruben sandwich and sweet potato fries. We both enjoyed our meals. Btw, they have a parking lot in the back, next to a handicap ramp. I recommend this place when in Jackson.

My souther Ohio in-laws had been wanting to bring me for Arch & Eddie's for a while but I'm usually so busy when I'm in town we never get around to it. Fortunately this summer we were able to make a visit with 6 adults & 2 kids for a weekday dinner. This place is truly great & I bet it get all the business in the little town it occupies & rightly so. They have a large bar in the back with high tops & several rooms with traditional dining tables to seat parties of 2-10. Decent sized menu with lots of options for any diner even if they are picky. I came here desperately needing a good salad after a week of eating not many greens in Chillicothe & had a large bbq chicken salad that was damn good. The highlight though were the honey drizzled fried green tomatoes . As a born & raised Tennesseean I have consumed at least a few tons of fried green tomatoes throughout my short but beautiful life & these were some of the absolute best. Great flavor, juicy, savory, & the breading was just right. Don't come here without getting them if they are available. The chicken cordon blue balls were on special for $5 & quite good as well, but overshadowed by the FGTs. Also had several of their summer drink specials like the sangria & a variation on the mule. Both were good & cheap! Service was also good no complaints at all. Will be baking Arch & Eddie's into my normal rotation of meals when I come to the area.

The Spot on Main Cafe fits the bill with a terrific warm pretzel breakfast sandwich with a large sausage patty and melted gouda. I'm pretty skeptical of sausage patties as they are typically thin, dry, and hockey puck-like. This one was none of those things. The large latte was robust in size and taste. Tasteful and super clean interior with good but not too loud music. Helpful service advising on choices (the bacon and swiss on a croissant was a close second when deciding what to get). Went for the pretzel which too wasn't the typically dry, hard, experience that requires incisor driven tearing to eat. I include a picture from the bathroom, definitely a first. But hanging on the inside of the door was a Scandinavia style high chair to have kiddos sit when you are otherwise occupied in this spotless bathroom. Two tables out front with shades and other tables around the corner in the back as well. Plenty of space inside but if you want to get outside to enjoy the morning coffee, that's an option. I'll definitely be back next time I have business in Jackson.

We stopped in for an early lunch, which they serve all day. Everything on the menu looked delicious and prices are reasonable. I had a bowl of the chicken and rice soup. The soup was thick and creamy with lots of vegetables and delicious. My husband loved the Club Sandwich which was packed with ham, bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato. Service was a bit confusing as one of the clerks told me to sit down and brought a menu. But she never came back to take our order and we figured out we had to go up to the counter to order. I guess the regulars know this. The place is popular, there's a line to order and most tables full. They have a nice patio out back with tables. Inside, there are about 15 tables. It gets loud inside when they are full. They sell their locally roasted coffee in the shop along with other coffee related gifts. There is street parking out front and a handicapped access at the rear entrance.

I recently saw a post on Ohio Trips' Facebook page about a charming little bakery tucked away in…read moresouthern Ohio called Four Mile Bakery. As a former chef and someone who creates food videos for my YouTube channel, I'm always searching for hidden diners, cafés, and bakeries that deserve more attention. Supporting local Ohio businesses is something I'm passionate about, so I made the drive to Jackson to see what all the buzz was about. The bakery sits along a quiet country road across from a picturesque farm with goats, horses, and cows, making the drive there part of the experience. When I walked inside, I discovered it's much more than a bakery--it's also a country general store stocked with homemade jams, jellies, sauces, and other locally made goodies. But let's be honest... the real reason for my visit was the doughnuts. Instead of the typical display case, Four Mile Bakery has a doughnut buffet where you put on plastic gloves and pick out your own favorites. It's a fun concept that lets you really take your time looking over all the incredible options. While I was filming, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Shawn. He couldn't have been more welcoming. He shared the story of the bakery, how many of their recipes were developed, and the passion that goes into what they make every day. Then came the highlight of my visit--their signature Wagon Wheel doughnut. This giant glazed doughnut is unlike any I've ever had. Most oversized doughnuts tend to be heavy, bread-like, and dense. Not this one. Somehow they've mastered the art of making it unbelievably light and airy with an almost cotton-candy-like texture. It practically melts in your mouth. It's one of the best doughnuts I've ever eaten. They also offer an impressive variety of doughnuts with all kinds of toppings and flavors, so there's something for everyone. Although they serve lunch items as well, I didn't have enough time to try them on this visit. We picked up several doughnuts along with a few items from the general store, thanked Shawn for his hospitality, and headed home. Four Mile Bakery is exactly the kind of hidden gem I love discovering. Great people, incredible homemade doughnuts, and a beautiful country setting make it well worth the drive. If you're anywhere near Jackson--or even if you're not--make the trip. The Wagon Wheel alone is worth it. P.S. Unfortunately, my camera's microphone decided to quit working during my visit, so most of the footage I captured is without sound. I guess that's just a good excuse to make another trip back to Four Mile Bakery... and somehow I don't think I'll mind having to eat another Wagon Wheel!

The owner was so friendly and told us about his business and history. The donuts are absolutely huge. I also bought some sauces and jams that look great. I HIGHLY recomnend going to both of these locations in Jackson Ohio.
