We stopped here during a rainy camping trip and the kids found some books they liked. There were also some nice books about local vermont topics and seasonal books (e.g. vermont hikes, Halloween books for kids). A nice little shop to stop in and support local.

The shop has a great selection of Vermonty guides and history mixed with current and classic books on a wide variety of topics. I always find something new. Prices were on quite a spectrum, from "wow, what a deal!" To "Wow, they really do not want to sell that." Found tons of treasures here though, which is the most important part. Table top and board games could be found in the front, newer issues of comics lining the right wall with cardboard bins full of organized comics on the tables in the middle of the store. Towards the back was a space for table top and card games. My favorite little find was the unassuming black drawer filled with old console games. The staff, and older guy and a younger guy, were friendly and helpful. Over all, awesome stop -- pretty sure this is one of the only comic shops in the area. I always find a must-have delight, from spending once hundreds of dollars to one for only $8. Note: this is my favorite store; CALL to make sure they are really open.
