    Two cool cats....
    monica l.

I have zero clue why ANYONE would give this gem less than 5 stars. It was EVERYTHING a Vermont inn restaurant should be. Owner chef and his wife as waitress - and two, very comfortable cats (literally there we two cats there) We split the most delightful salad and my friend ordered the rack of lamb and I ordered the pork chop. Both were divine! Would definitely go back but leave room for dessert next time.

They thought of everything! There were even some snacks (cheese, meats, and focaccia) to start and the water and soft drinks were free. It was set for 5 couples but one didn't show. My husband didn't know anyone before hand but quickly chatted and talked em with everyone. The pace of everything was great. We made dessert first. Then we made the salad with from scratch burrata cheese, marry me chicken and homemade fresh pasta. It was truly the best experience. The dessert was a layered red velvet cup with mascarpone cheese. It was heaven! The class was hands on and the staff were all so friendly. The space was clean and welcoming. Two bathrooms were inside the kitchen area. The menu can change per class so be sure to book what you like best. They offer a variety of classes and is not just for couples if you do the classic cooking class. Worth the price, hands down. So glad we came here and got to experience this. We will be back for sure!

We got demos for everything that wasn't made by us but enjoyed the foods that our chef chose for us to make, such as the burrata! We had wine, cheese, meat, and focaccia when we got there and made our dessert, burrata, and pasta before assembling the whole meal. There was plenty of food to take home and we left stuffed! Our class happened at the start of a snow storm so only about 14-16 out of 20 people came which helped create a more intimate setting.

Since then, we've learned how to make our own sushi, sour dough, pastries, street foods, pasta, stuffed grape leaves, chocolate mousse, Mexican foods, Mediterranean foods, baklava, paella, and so much more! We rarely eat out anymore since we now know how to confidently make it ourselves, and our own cooking now tastes so much better than at a restaurant. We've even lost weight - bonus! And the tips for where to find ingredients and make our own vanilla extract for just pennies have been amazing! I needed to leave this review because for the second Christmas in a row I've made paella as I was taught at Capital Cooks by Caroline and it turned out so amazingly perfect! The family non-stop kept complimenting how great it tasted, and it got devoured. Thank you, Caroline, for what has become our new Christmas tradition meal, and it's actually fun to cook it! You're amazing. Your husband Paul is awesome! Thank you both for the education you've given my wife and me. We are already signed up for a couple more classes in the coming months!

On the Thursday night before Labor Day weekend, we made a reservation at Wunderbar in Bellows Falls. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly. Service was overall fantastic and we were super impressed with the cocktails and food, leaving happily satisfied and stuffed at the end. I can't think of anything we ordered that we didn't like, though, of course, there were some favorites: Alpine Negroni and Smoking Gun cocktail were delicious. We LOVED the Ahi Tuna Tostadas, Wunder Wings, and Roasted Carrots - and hands-down our favorite of the night was the Miso Mussels. We weren't sure we ordered enough between the 3 of us, but portions were overall done well and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish. I truly can't wait to come back to Wunderbar the next time I'm visiting the area. The service was warm and genuine, the drinks were creative, and the whole experience felt like a special night out without being pretentious. Wunderbar absolutely lives up to its name.
