He was supposed to replace the soles on both boots, replace the insole and patch a piece of fabric on both heels that had worn out on the inside. He didn't replace the soles, superglued the holes in the bottom of the soles that were causing leaks. He didn't replace the insole just glued a piece of leather down on the inside and didn't touch the heals on either. When brought up he threw out a number that was 3x what he had originally said it would cost to do the work described when dropped off and would not offer a reduction with the money already spent even though he did not do any of the work requested previously. Language barrier is definitely an issue but all the same to drop off after paying what he said it would cost for the work requested and then have none of it done and told to pay more was very frustrating. Would not recommend this place to anyone and will be looking for a competent shoe/ boot repair place going forward. Save your money and time and find somewhere else.

Maybe the quality of his work has always been bad, but he has enough customers who don't know any better. Maybe, he is incapable of recognizing how bad his work is. I recently took a pair of brand new leather boots and a pair of lightly used, clean and conditioned leather dress shoes that have satin laces to get a rubber half-sole applied. Not only was the work done extremely unprofessionally, but my boots and shoes were returned dirty and stained. The half soles on the boots are uneven. The bottom surface of the shoes was excessively and unnecessarily removed behind the half-soles on both pairs, but especially the boots. The brand new heel on one boot was even damaged on the corner! The cherry on top were the black stains left on the satin laces of the dress shoes. I can't buy replacement satin laces in the correct shade of green anywhere to match these shoes in case the stains do not come out. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund, I was met with denial, refusal, and responses of, "I don't give refunds, that's how I do everyone's shoes." He took no accountability. He charged me $130. I would not bring anything that you care about here, unless you want to pay to have your possessions mistreated. If he can't respect your shoes, he can't respect others or even himself. Sad.
