I grew up 10 minutes away from this shop (back when they were across the street in the Eland shopping center) and he always did a great job on everything my family brought in, to the point where I became convinced (as a kid/teenager) that all shoe repairmen must be great. I'm now in my 30's and have lived, and tried to get shoes and related items repaired, in: Boston, New York, Portland (OR), and Chicago. Those shops, both in service and especially quality, have been universally worse and helped me what a great job he does. Now if I need something repaired I bring it back to PA with me when I visit my mom. It's a bit of hassle to fly with an extra pair of shoes (I wear 11s, so they can take up like 1/4 of my bag), but it's ABSOLUTELY worth it. And he's a really great guy. The woman who works with him now is great (and I'm sure he needs and appreciates the help), but it was always great to catch up with him a little when I stopped in when I was younger. read more

This is a very honest, and friendly family.owned establishment. My sister had a pair of Ugg Boots she burnt on the bottom and this place replaced the soles of them and had them looking brand new. I was so impressed by the workmanship of her boot repair job, that I figured I'd give it a try as well. Well..... I was graciously greeted upon entry. I brought in a pair of soft upper leather N.Y.L.A boots that were in pretty bad shape. The guy explained to me that he can TRY and clean and resurface them and also proceeded to explain that because of the type of leather it is that they may not be able to be cleaned without removing the color. Mr. Pisano politely asked for me to give him a few days to work on them and he would call and let me know. He did give me a call and apologetically explain that he was unable to clean my boots but also said there is no charge for his attempt. absolutely fantastic. I was a little skeptical having to pay in advance, however they looked absolutely great when I picked them up a week later. I met the owner when picking up my shoes for a new heel pad, and he spent about 5 minutes with me explaining the process he took to do the replacement as well as the shoes themselves. He also assured me that if I have any concerns or potential problems to please come back in and he personally would take care of it. Very genuine, and takes a great deal of pride in his work. This man is a true craftsman. Due to side effects of radiation when I was young, my one leg is almost an inch shorter. I take ALL my shoes to Pisano's to have the necessary "lift" added. He does beautiful work; even tries to dye the lift material to match the soles of my colorful sneakers. And I love that I can take a shoe in to show them and they can tell me immediately whether a lift can be added. Also had a few pairs of my husband's dress shoes resoled and they turned out beautiful and are wearing great. read more

I have taken my Cole Haan shoes with broken heels to Pisano&Son. I am mentioning the brand to tell you they were expensive and the thought of throwing them out really bothered me. Not only the staff were so kind and accommodating, the shoes were repaired rock solid and I have worn them for over a year without any problems. I sent my custom Parlanti riding boots here to get their zippers replaced and they came back looking brand new. I wasn't able to notice any difference in the zippers and they have held up wonderfully since being replaced. It took exactly two weeks to ship them, replace the zippers, and ship them back to me. The price was very reasonable as well. It is hard to find a trustworthy and competent riding boot repairman, but Pisano & Son is definitely the best I have worked with. I recommend them for any and all boot and shoe repair, but especially for the avid horseman. read more
