I tried archery here for the first time and had such a fun experience!…read more Booked a surprise archery lesson with Gabi. She was super patient and great at explaining the importance of the safety features and proper posture of archery. The staff overall were super welcoming and took the time to walk us through the basics, which made it really beginner-friendly. They explained safety, helped adjust the equipment, and gave helpful tips on how to improve our aim. The range itself was clean, organized, and well set up, which made the whole experience feel comfortable even for someone who's never done archery before. It was more about grouping the arrows versus trying to hit the bullseye. Definitely a great activity if you're looking for something different to do with friends or family. I'd recommend it whether you're a complete beginner or just want to try something new. Looking forward to coming back and improving my aim!

The class was small, which was a big plus and allowed for more personal practice time. Instruction was okay once it got going, and I appreciated having time to learn at my own pace. Overall, a good experience with room for improvement for first-time archers.

The staff are all amazing, and they are very passionate and knowledgeable, so you're never left feeling like you're at it alone, should you need more help and teaching. We came in on a Sunday morning for their 10AM outreach class that went over safety information, instructions on how to hold a bow and positioning of your body, and types of commands, to listen to, that are given out when you're on the range. I believe our instructor's name was Jack, and he was so informative and patient with us. After spending 30 minutes with him, we were fitted for our gear, and led to the range to begin practicing. If you are unsure or your form needs some adjustments, the staff members are always nearby or behind observing everyone. This range has walkable trails that are available to members, but their practicing range gives you a taste of how well-kept the site is. They do have outhouses for restrooms, and parking is free. We were able to enjoy our morning out for just $5 - SCORE! Their website provides ample amount of information regarding hours of operation, outreach program info, and upcoming events at the range. Will be returning soon, and hopefully have the chance to walk their trail ranges in the near future!

Wow, an archery field in the middle of the Golden Gate Park. Who knew?…read more Recently came here for a beginner archery session with a *socially distanced* group. One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that people are exploring all kinds of interests they've never considered before. I, for once, had never tried archery so I thought I'd give it a go. So glad I did! It was such a cool sport/activity. We rented bow and arrows and a target from a nearby shop and did practice sessions here for a couple of hours. The archery field is nicely maintained and is free to the public. It was quite busy when we came on a Saturday afternoon. All the lanes were full. However, people were courteous and all patiently waited for a lane to open. Although I was very bad at it, I felt super cool shooting arrows like I was in the Hunger Games movie or something. I'd totally come back and do it again. Highly recommend!

Am I insane or is this range incredibly dangerous?…read more People are shooting down range with people in front of them and just one lane over. I saw a dude with a high powered hunting bow shooting from the very back, his arrows were whizzing past a couple of beginners who were like 20ft from the target and about 20 ft to his right. I've shot guns my whole life and took archery lessons as a kid. You never shoot with people down range. No clue WTF is going on at this place. My buddy and I checked out the range and were planning on renting bows, we noped out of there. Has it always been like this?

From the very…read morebeginning of my communication with Greg about planning a party for my 9 year old son, he was quick to respond and provided all of the information needed, inclusive of where you can host these types of parties in San Francisco. This was my first time hosting a nerf party before, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Big picture, it was a HUGE hit with the kids! The guys running the party were professional, and FUN, and they ran orchestrated games throughout the event. There were plenty of nerf guns to choose from and every single kid had a BLAST! Best money spent. Greg made this party happen for us, and I couldn't compliment him and his company more. If you want a fun and exciting party for your child, use PlanetXone!!!

Highlights from my POV: -Greg was awesome to work with and the staff that he sends on site day of the party were also great, easy to work with and really good with the kids. He also knew all the parks in our area and was able to answer questions that I likely would have had to ask the city. Made it seem less and easy to decide where to host the party. -They handle everything and basically run the party; this was the first time I got to sit back and let someone else run the party. When you have 15 6/7 year old boys that's a big win. -All equipment, set up and take down was handled by them as well. Safety, nerf guns, bullets, etc. they also do a great job of making sure the kids know the rules, boundaries and expectations during their time. No recommendations or constructive feedback from me! Thanks again, Greg and team.
