After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! She also referred me to a new gyno and dentist. All in all, Dr. P is terrific, thanks Yelp.

Fast forward to the overall provider care and I am going to say that the care I received and my son received was negligent and this is not a word that I ever use lightly. I went to this office with a clear-cut, standard presentation of symptoms and was dismissed without further care. I went to the office over the next few months with the same symptoms, same concerns stating myself what I thought the condition was-- only to be told that I just had a simple infection and needed antibiotics. Buyer beware and shame on me for trusting this physician and not seeking alternative treatment because by the time I got to a specialist I had PERMANENT damage requiring four surgeries, thousands in medical bills, time lost from work as well as pain and suffering for not just me, but my family that was also impacted by this substandard care. As a matter of fact, the specialist that I saw was shocked that no studies had been done over the course of this time. I will never recommend this practice nor one specific physician at this practice ever. My son did not have as clear cut of a presentation in symptoms, but suffered for many years with a medical syndrome that we repeated went to the office and SPECIFICALLY asked if this is what he had. Since then, we went to Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, had one test, was immediately diagnosed and subsequently treated with the correct medications. Poor care. Stay away.

This is weight loss meds that should be administered weekly. We already missed one week 2) They will tell you to come back every 3 months or less for "follow up" checks. And of course, to maximize profit. 3) Bloodwork is done in their clinic which is convenient, but would charge additional for what is supposed to be 100% covered by insurance. 4) Will charge $30 for no-show, but will not send a single reminder either via text or email or call. And you can't dispute these charges. I wish I could also charge them for all the 'no-updates' and 'no-callbacks'. Already looking for a new Primary Doctor. Sigh.
