I can't for the life of me comprehend how people give this place a bad review. I've had nothing but fantastic experiences here for years now. Today could not have been any better. Course was immaculate for early November. Staff was super nice and helpful. No wait. Nobody up our ass. Food after was very good. Everything was an absolute A+. Best public course in NJ.

So let's start out by saying I'm not a golfer. I haven't gone there to golf. If I want to walk around on a beautiful day, I don't want it interrupted by a little white ball. You know the Scots invented golf. They even play in the winter. They play with red balls. Well that's because of the kilts. Anyway I used the takeout at the club. Actually on Thanksgiving day. Long story short; got a colonoscopy canceled and didn't plan on a dinner. So it's a dinner for 4 ( if your not big eaters if you are it's dinner for two). Ever day is one delicious dinner (no choice just whatever the dinner of the day is) like a full lasagna dinner or a full chicken dinner, or full pot roast dinner; the price is @$40. . I had the Pot Roast mashed potatoes green beans and rolls. It was so tender and delicious. I've been meaning to go back try the lasagna dinner (a big tray of lasagna). This food is all gourmet quality. Not fancy gourmet but oh so good. I most definitely recommend this. The golf course you're going to have to figure out yourself. While I might be retired ( which I think is a requirement to be a golfer,or divorced which I think comes from being a golfer) My hobbies are a tad more to the exciting ones. Like being shot out a cannon and fire eating, and noodling shark fishing. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

I think this is the best walk-on club around. They take amazing care of the course. It is my favorite for sure.

Fairways = Perfect Greens = Impeccable Staff = Awesome You must be focused on every hole and every shot... Great Track!!! This course has always been on my must play list as I've heard it's pretty nice and you can also see #12 from 78, so it kinda calls you to play. Luckily the weather was nice enough (45-50 degrees) to allow us to play the day before Thanksgiving and all I can say is you better take a cart and be on your game when playing here. Although the course was in its winter mode, a little wet from the overnight rain and a stiff 2-3 club wind the fairways and greens we in great shape. I can't wait to come back in the Spring/Summer to see it in its glory. Only negatives I could say were the lack of yardage stakes/sprinkler head markers throughout the course but I think the carts have GPS monitors during good weather months and have been taken off the carts in the winter. Also, hole #12 was closed due to the overnight rain and the steepness of the cart path being too dangerous with wet leaves. New cart path design coming. All in all a great test of golf!!!

Quick take on the round played yesterday…read more Set up: Head to their website, add in date, time and number of players. From there it's the odd thing of where you cannot pay for your round in advance, only a nuisance convenience fee and then the rest is due at the course. Speaking of nickel and dime nuisance fees; on the site it does say that the tax is not included but nowhere until you get to the pro shop does it mention anything about a surcharge for card usage. That would have been useful information to have had in advance. theclubatmorganhill.com/online-tee-times/ We played on a weekday afternoon and overall the course was wide-open. One twosome a few holes ahead and another twosome a few holes behind. We started fifteen minutes early and went door to door in three hours and ten minutes. Let's talk about course conditions. Not good. Most of the tee boxes are chewed up and in bad shape. Your choices to tee up are either an almost thick scruffy scrub grass or into tons of divots filled with sand. Fairways have a lot of brown in them and are fast due to being very dry combined with sloped. The rough is well, rough. Very dense and very thick, Super easy to lose balls that on many other courses would be easily find-able. Most of the greens on the front 9 are nice but a couple on the back are not. A nice bumpy-chop-roll over some rough spots. The course design is interesting. The fairways are definitely narrow and most are slanted. While a few greens are very small, a few are cavernous with multiple drops/turns/undulations but overall they play slow. There is a hole or two with water but it never came into play for us. A few gimmick holes with blind tee shots. #18 & #14 with upward elevation or #12 with extreme downward descent (169 from the whites and a soft 9 or a PW might be more than enough club on this one). To me, is this a tough course? So-So. We opened up putting for par on the first four holes with little issue. Are there some difficult holes? Most definitely, yes. The par 5's of #5 and #13 are to put it mildly, hard. Weekdays after 4pm will set you back $40 (plus fees if you pay with a card and use their website). Is that fair for this course? Overall, yeah, it's not bad. Is that the best use of your discretionary golf money? Maybe/maybe not. You could play after 3pm twice at Sawmill for the same price. Pocono Club or Jack Frost are superior courses and either can be played for the same price as Morgan, or a few bucks less. Glad I came and finally played here. It was a nice one to check off the local area list of places that I've been meaning to play for a long time. Although, I think for the foreseeable future I'm good on not playing here for a bit. Nothing wrong with the course, but personally, nothing compels me to want to return either. Three stars all the way.

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco and this ain't no foolin' around so unless someone else is paying, no way in hell I'm dropping $50+ a round. Harker's appears on GolfNow on a daily basis which depending on how you look at it, could be a good thing or a bad thing. Thursday 1pm tee-time for 18 with a cart for $22 and change? Yep! First the good. The course for the most part is actually in pretty good shape. Fairways are green and lush. Nice differentiated cut between the fairway and the rough and the greens are what you would expect. What's a little iffy? If you're not in the fairway or fairly close to it, a lot of holes have rock hard exposed dirt patches around/under/close to some of the trees that are impossible to hit off of (unless you want to break a shaft or fracture your wrist) or your ball will roll forever into the next fairway, etc. What's bad? Zero and I mean zero on pace of play enforcement. After 3 hours we got through a grand total of......11 holes. Multiple groups of 4+ people meandering and not giving a crap about anything but their own nonsense. We eventually went back to the beginning and played 1-4 and 8-9 before the cart had to get turned in. So....11 holes in 3 hours and then 6 more in an hour. Yeah, it was that painfully-disgustingly slow. Overall, sure, some of the cart paths ride and look like the government uses this place as bomb range from time to time and you will lose balls here without question with some of the hazards like the creek, trees and aforementioned brownout spots but.....if you can find them on GolfNow, the price is definitely right and you could do much worse at other area courses. (Sidebar, the hours that Yelp has listed I assume are for the onsite restaurant as the golf courses is open daily.)

Communication before the wedding day was great up until after the ceremony, not sure where everyone went. My bridal attendant was not around, the banquet manager CJ was also not around to ensure the day ran smoothly. Not sure about all the great reviews on The Knot or Wedding Wire, I did not receive that coordination or service from the manager or bridal attendant the day of after the ceremony but they did have time to take pictures at our Photo Booth. The lack of attentiveness from the bridal attendant, uncoordinated timing, and food dissatisfaction--had a significant impact on our experience. We were told by the Banquet Manager we didn't need to hire a day of coordinator as that was "her job", but as the bride I was wondering why dinner was late - I myself went to the kitchen/office to find out. I coordinated my own wedding with my amazing photographer as they failed to do so. I trusted the manager's words when she said it was her job to coordinate but where was she? Thousands of dollars spent here and my entree - Autumn chicken was so dry. The Director of Events, Lisa, told me if I had said so the day of-- they could've taken it back to be redone -- but as I said no one was around to do this, or asked me how my food was, and nor should ANY bride have to do this. Also, the advertised "gourmet display of international cheeses" was a display of cubed cheese and saltine crackers, beware of false advertising there, too. The two bartenders we had were amazing, great service from them! They made our "his & hers" drinks perfectly and were attentive to us and our guests at all times. We drove an hour and a half to have our wedding at The View, and it's disheartening that we did not receive the level of service reflected in the venue's many positive reviews. This discrepancy leaves me questioning the integrity of the reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire and whether others have had similar experiences. Please take your hard earned money and pick another venue to have your events, they do not care once they have your money. **If you already booked your event/wedding -- get yourself an event coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly and accordingly so you can enjoy the day to the fullest, regardless of their lack of service and attention.**
