Unfortunately we didn't play the entire course, since the event was on the driving range, chipping area, and practice green. From the limited access to the course, you can tell this is a very well-maintained course, inside and out. The Pro Shop is full stocked with apparel, equipment, and accessories. Clubhouse staff was helpful and friendly. Nonetheless, the Hawke Point and PGA HOPE staff made everyone feel welcomed. The competition was divided into teams based on branch of service. The stations were well ran by the PGA HOPE staff; each were easy to jump into, even if you were new to golf. The energy and camaraderie was great. Made some new friends and the whole day felt meaningful. If you're looking for something special that combines golf with purpose, I highly recommend getting involved with PGA of America's REACH Foundation. They have many programs that is positively impact the lives of youth, military, and underserved communities.

The food was a buffet style and was a huge success with both children and adults. Everything was presented perfectly, and was delicious. I highly enjoyed this course. For context... I'm a 10 handicap golfer. I played the tips because I…read moream a longer hitter. And this isn't really a longer course... It did rained most of the day before and this course was playing with carts 90° rule... So the drainage seems to be pretty nice. There were definitely some puddle spots, but in some places that didn't really matter. I personally thought the course was brilliant. It has a very wonky beginning and ending... It ends with and begins with two par fives... Honestly, that might be the biggest problem with the course. Otherwise, I found the condition of the course to be excellent. The greens were fantastic! If I wanted to be very picky, I would say that the design was not mind blowing... But it was perfectly fine. There were some holes that were better than others. Some holes were more narrow and some were wide open. There's a drivable part four. There were no Rangers that the day I was there. I played on Tuesday in August. We had a threesome and we were behind a few foursomes, and we definitely had to wait on a few holes. However we were ahead of schedule... We were finished in four hours and 10 minutes. There is no driving range. It took me forever to research that and I was a little annoyed when I realized there was no driving range... There is a chipping and putting green. None of the holes were "unfair" from my perspective... Some of them were a little tricky, but nothing ridiculous. Most of the greens are huge. Because it had rained the day before they were very receptive. I used the GPS on my phone, but I noticed near the end that the 150 marker in the fairway might technically be to the front of the green and not to the center of the green... Just FYI there. I did not use the grill/restaurant. I was a little disappointed. They did not sell cigars in the pro shop... The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they were in no way mean or offputting. It was hilarious how old school some of the things were... Like having to "sign for your cart key"... Haven't done that in a long time! I legitimately cannot understand why this is not a more popular course in the area. GolfNow had tons of open teetimes for today. This is a wonderful course with elevation and it's very well maintained... People should definitely play it if they haven't. Oh final thing... One of the other reasons I chose this course off of GolfNow was because I was finding that many of the local courses were listing their prices but they were for walking and not with cart. Meaning it was gonna cost another 20 or even $30 if I wanted to use a cart. This course the price that was listed included the cart which made it worth driving a little bit further in my opinion. Honestly, as far as public courses go... This is a great one. Play it.

Played Beaver Brook for the second time recently and we again had a good time. The layout has a few…read moreholes with blind doglegs and it's hilly, but it's very affordable and the starter and pro-shop guys were nice for a very cold Friday morning. There were a couple of holes where there was a bit of damage on the fairways, and the flags were in the back in every hole, but otherwise the course was in decent shape for November. Not sure of the prices were low because of the time of year, but I'd come back and play here again.

The putting green offers a great panoramic view of the course and is immaculately maintained. The short game area offers a couple very clean bunkers with the perfect amount of sand in them. The course is gorgeous, every hole is immaculately maintained, and offers a superb view. You could take pictures all day out here and cover your walls, it's just a pretty place. While The course looks amazing, it also has some bite too. The super has a great eye for exciting and fun pin locations, and it can get really exciting out there. If you're batting it around, you'll find yourself struggling to get out of their heavy rough and the long hitters, there's strategically placed fescue that will gobble your ball up, hit it straight! The staff is top notch, outside services are ready and waiting to help and the service inside the bar/restaurant area is 5 stars. They are ready to help and super attentive. The food is awesome. A medium burger is grilled medium, wings are so tasty, like they are brined first, everything they brought out was incredibly delicious. The locker rooms were some of the best I've ever seen.
