This was my first time eating at The View at Morgan Hill. My fiancé and I went on a Wednesday night after work. We were able to get a table outside without a wait. I loved the outdoor seating area The View provides. The View at Morgan Hill has indoor and outdoor options with a lot of space in both areas. The out door seating offers a nice view of the area, I guess that is where they got the name from. My problem with the View is I am not quite sure if it knows what it wants to be, the food is on the more expensive side, but the quality is okay, if I had to guess most items come in frozen or already prepared. The out door seating is nice, but its the same plastic wicker and cheap meatal patio furniture they sell at Lowes. The service was fine, but just average. I don't know if it trying to be a fine dining place or a casual place to grab a few bites after a round of golf. At the end of the day you are paying a premium price for a view of the golf course. If you are okay with that then you will like eating here. Overall experience was alright. Was not disappointed or impressed. Food was decent. I don't typically write reviews, but I felt it was IMPORTANT to share my experience so that others know what to expect. Our initial interaction with the manager Corrin (CJ) Stucy was positive. She was responsive and accommodating. After touring the venue, we fell in love with both the beautiful view and the event space. The indoor/outdoor setup was a major reason we chose this venue. We were told that we would have full use of the balcony and it would be cleaned up the day of the event, ALL of the doors could be opened to create a seamless indoor/outdoor experience, and the fireplace could be lit during the evening. Unfortunately, once we signed the contract and paid the deposit, our experience changed significantly! Communication became much more difficult, and I often felt like I was inconveniencing the manager, Corrin (CJ) Stucy simply by asking questions about the space. Nearly every request or question was rudely met with a new restriction or condition that had not been discussed during the booking process. There are two event spaces located directly next to each other on the same floor about 4 steps away. We were informed one week before our event that another function--a bridal shower--had been booked at the same time. Because of this, we were no longer able to fully open the doors or have unrestricted access to the balcony as originally represented. These limitations materially changed the atmosphere we had expected and were not disclosed when we booked the venue. I found the manager Corrin (CJ) Stucy communication style to be very Abrupt and unnecessarily Rude. Rather than making us feel like valued paying clients, I often felt as though we were an inconvenience for simply asking questions or seeking clarification regarding the space or table setup. She frequently micromanaged various aspects of the evening instead of allowing the event to flow naturally. Corrin (CJ) Stucy told the dj to turn the music down because of the restaurant upstairs, which wasn't communicated before booking that there would be restrictions on music volume. We were also shocked to see CJ (manager) serving food at the buffet while wearing regular street clothes and no gloves, which I found unprofessional for a formal event. Overall, while the venue itself is beautiful, I was disappointed with Corrin (CJ) Stucy communication style and several of the features that influenced our decision to book were ultimately unavailable or subject to restrictions that were not communicated until after booking the space. The overall tone of our interactions made me feel uncomfortable throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. Despite the challenges, I made EVERY effort to remain polite and respectful throughout all interactions because I wanted the event to proceed as smoothly as possible. As beautiful as the view is, I deeply regret booking the space. Honestly, my interactions with Corrin (CJ) Stucy, took my joy away. I hope this review helps future clients. Ask detailed questions upfront and obtain written confirmation of what is included before signing a contract. BE AWARE that the manager's Corrin (CJ) Stucy communication and management style may have a significant impact on your overall experience. I do NOT recommend The View for your event especially your wedding. Yes, it has an absolutely beautiful view for an outdoor ceremony but after our ceremony the service went downhill. Communication before the wedding day was great up until after the ceremony, not sure where everyone went. My bridal attendant was not around, the banquet manager CJ was also not around to ensure the day ran smoothly. Not sure about all the great reviews on The Knot or Wedding Wire, I did not receive that coordination or service from the manager or bridal attendant the day of after the ceremony but they did have time to take pictures at our Photo Booth. The lack of attentiveness from the bridal attendant, uncoordinated timing, and food dissatisfaction--had a significant impact on our experience. We were told by the Banquet Manager we didn't need to hire a day of coordinator as that was "her job", but as the bride I was wondering why dinner was late - I myself went to the kitchen/office to find out. I coordinated my own wedding with my amazing photographer as they failed to do so. I trusted the manager's words when she said it was her job to coordinate but where was she? Thousands of dollars spent here and my entree - Autumn chicken was so dry. The Director of Events, Lisa, told me if I had said so the day of-- they could've taken it back to be redone -- but as I said no one was around to do this, or asked me how my food was, and nor should ANY bride have to do this. Also, the advertised "gourmet display of international cheeses" was a display of cubed cheese and saltine crackers, beware of false advertising there, too. The two bartenders we had were amazing, great service from them! They made our "his & hers" drinks perfectly and were attentive to us and our guests at all times. We drove an hour and a half to have our wedding at The View, and it's disheartening that we did not receive the level of service reflected in the venue's many positive reviews. This discrepancy leaves me questioning the integrity of the reviews on The Knot and Wedding Wire and whether others have had similar experiences. Please take your hard earned money and pick another venue to have your events, they do not care once they have your money. **If you already booked your event/wedding -- get yourself an event coordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly and accordingly so you can enjoy the day to the fullest, regardless of their lack of service and attention.** read more

Went for the Easter brunch. The setup was less than ideal with the buffet in a small room. People could only go down one side which meant the line was out into the dining area with people standing all around us. Food was OK. Manager was downright rude. They turned the air on full blast even though it was only 55 and raining and the room was not warm. The vent was over our table and it was so powerful our hair was blowing. When we asked the manager to turn it down or off she said she wouldnt do it. At that point I was pissed. Shortly after that my husband got a chocolate mousse and it had a huge chip out of it and the glass was cracked all the way down. I took it to her and said if you cant turn down the air can you at least make sure your not serving people in glasses like this. I have no idea where thar piece of glass is. She just grabbed it and said thank you. For $50 a person I expect better. We will definitely be going back to woodstone next year. read more

Note that this was a carry out order. Because of COVID, we did not dine in. I travel to Easton frequently to visit family. Since my mother lives less than a block from the view, and the food and service have always been good, we dine there several times each visit. My mother eats there several times a week (before COVID hit). I arrived in Easton on Wednesday night and on Thursday, we ordered take-out. I ordered at 5:20 and they said it would be ready by 6:00. Low and behold, at 6 sharp, they brought dinner to my car. I ordered their Red Snapper with Quinoa and Tomato Salad. When I got home something didn't look right. The Quinoa was good but the snapper was so overcooked it was literally like shoe leather. It was inedible. I struggled about how to handle this. I know the restaurant industry is struggling. After an hour I called and asked to speak to the restaurant manager. I think his name was Jason. My intent was to let them know about the dinner and hoped for an apology. The call was awkward. I told him about the food and there was silence on the line. I told him that it was inedible to which he simply said, okay. I went as far as to say I thought he should let the chef know. He said "I will", and hung up. I suppose if I said I wanted my money back or asked for something, he could have been suspicious. All I wanted was an apology but none was offered - only indifference and rudeness. At a minimum they should have cooked a new meal to replace this one but they did not offer. When I hung up, I felt awful for complaining, and silly for not being more demanding or forthright. Seriously, I have had great experiences there. We held my parent's 50th anniversary party there. While there have been one or two times where the food was less than average, I've probably eaten there 30 times or more. If you count my family we've bought hundreds of meals at The View and it's predecessors over the years. I'm extremely disappointed that a chef in a quality restaurant would serve something like this. And, while I understand that mistakes happen, the manger's response was completely unacceptable. I hate leaving bad reviews. And, I would not have written this one if the manger handled it differently. I've surely written some poor reviews over the years but always try to say something good. Here, the server who brought the food to my car was very pleasant and on time. But severely overcooked food and a manager who couldn't care less about it? Not acceptable. I'm afraid that I'm done with the view. And, since I was with my family when I called to discuss this, I don't know if any of us would return. I'm not sure who Jason the manager reports to but I do hope that person reads this and takes note. read more

I went there with my husband for a company party. We were packed into the room like sardines. The wait staff was not the best. If you ordered a drink with alcohol in it they were on top of it. I ordered soda, which seemed to take forever. When the main course arrived it was Cold (cold steak & chicken are not appetizing). When desert was served, I asked if coffee would be served. Response was " we are working on it" 25 minutes later after I finished my dry piece of cake, I got a cup of coffee. We were there for Thanksgiving last November (2023). We were seated and approached by the server promptly. When we went up to the line to get food, I asked for white meat when I got to the turkey carving station. I noticed that the carver gave me a pretty meager portion (I am a small person and I don't eat big portions generally, so when I say meager, I do mean meager). And there was a lot of fat and skin, so honestly there were maybe three good bites of plain white meat (sue me for being boring, but that is what I like on Thanksgiving). I wish I would have asked for more right then and there, but I thought "I'll come later for seconds." So I did that, not too much later, and guess what he said: "We are out of white meat." On Thanksgiving. Now, I knew they had to have been saving some for the 6pm seating (we were in the 4pm group) but I wasn't going to make a scene. I settled for a slab-o-ham. But, sorry: that's pathetic and unacceptable!!!!!! Aside from that, we had a lovely and quiet table with a nice view. Service overall was perfectly fine. We inquired about having a bridal shower months ago, probably March/ April. The shower is in September, so plenty of time to book a small event. The lady my mom spoke to was extremely cold and not accommodating , we had to call twice before a call back. When she finally called us back, she was rude and told us the patio roof was being taken down within weeks with have limited availability all summer and fall due to this. I was just there last night and the roof was still on (super beautiful and great vibes). I told my mom this and she was very upset. We would have LOVED to have hosted an event here. I wanted to write this review months back but my mom preferred I refrain. After seeing the roof still out on the patio yesterday, however, we decided it was for the best as we were clearly lied to and weren't sure why. read more

Terrific find for a perfect day in June. Over looking the golf course, but more importantly the drinks and food were delicious. We had the Spiked John Daly which was refreshing and tasty. For lunch we had the fish and chips and the Grilled Romaine Cobb style. Both very tasty the French Fries were amazing, double fried and tender on the inside. The fish was fresh and flaky. My salad was so yummy- not too chargrilled and the fixings were delicious plentiful, especially the blue cheese and bacon. The view at "The View" was great. And that's about where the positive ended from the experience. No decor of any kind. No mood lighting. But ok.... We were sitting outside so... fair enough. There was a wedding going on underneath and the whole table was vibrating from the dj through the floor. Drunk people and kids were screaming from the downstairs balcony the whole time which really killed the mood and any enjoyment to be had but... Ok. There's a wedding. Fair enough. The chair I sat in was broken. I leaned back and nearly pitched to the floor. They got me a new chair. It wasn't any more comfortable then the broken one but I wasn't falling. The drinks were bad. I mean really bad. Like awful bad. The first drink was sent back because they forgot the strawberry (the first ingredient somehow) and tasted like antiseptic with a drop off lime. second drink was technically correct but tasted like a little cranberry juice with alot of cheap rum and a tiny hint of strawberry under the rubbing alcohol. My girl refused to drink that one too. The only sparkling wine was out (guessing due to the wedding.... This is fun already). The appetizers were laughably bad. The kebabs came out unfinished. And by unfinished I mean were missing half the ingredients. It was just bacon and dates. When I pointed it out they went to talk to a manager about everything that was missing. They came back to says they ran the dish before it was completed and would take it off the bill (at least they said they did, when the check came I just wanted to get out of there). But didn't fix it, or replace it so our appetizer was crappy bacon and dates. Great. The flatbread was greesy bad pizza. Fantastic! The entrees came out. And for the most part they were pretty good. Small. But decent. Good flavor. Cooked well. Not great. But not terrible. And with all the other awful, mediocrity stood out as a positive. Then the salads came out. A fistful of spinach, with walnuts and a few crumbles of cheese. Bland. Unappealing. No flair. The best I can say about it is they were liberal with the sliced strawberries. Then dessert. Strawberry shortcake was dry like they left it out in the open for 10 hours. The caramel cheesecake, and I couldn't believe this... Was just as very small piece of bad cheesecake they drizzled a little caramel on top of. The best part of it was the a la mode..... The ice cream came in a separate bowl and was actually two scoops of ice cream (I think they charged us for a whole different dessert but again I just wanted to get out). For four of us. 4 drinks. 4 entrees. 1 appetizer and 2 desserts. The bill was $210. For a horrible, terrible, frankly awful dining experience. There are alot of good places to go to eat. Go anywhere else. And spend less for a better time. read more

Stopped late on a Sunday afternoon. It was dark and pretty deserted so our feedback is on the service and the food only, not what I'm sure is a beautiful outdoor setting with gorgeous views. Surprised that the menu is more like a bar or diner than a more upscale restaurant like we expected (our fault). The prices are in-line with the food, and very affordable. Food was so-so. I had bbq grilled chicken, a weekend special, which was smallish but good flavor. Served with bland vegetables and wild rice, both of which were cold. Rest of group thought food was good and cheaply priced. All had variations of the same chicken dish (blackened, grilled, etc) or sandwiches. Points for offering gluten-free buns, albeit at one of the highest upcharges I've seen anywhere...$3.50! We may stop back if in area, but won't be going out of our way to return. read more

Vintage was fantastic. This feels like diner food maybe. The appetizers we ordered were kind of boring. The burger was a C- and the fries were basic fries. Comparing this place to Vintage might not be fair. But the prices aren't cheap, so you expect better than you get. I hate to leave bad reviews because the room, the service and the location are excellent. It's just the food, the menu and the attention to detail that need a measure of attention. All that said, I have hope that the place will develop into something great. It's a matter of time before going through the motions costs more in lost opportunity than doing it right costs upfront. I had a beautiful wedding here in 2021. They had issues here and there and my flower girl was almost struck by a gulf ball (for some reason when planning the green the balls are hit toward the building) we still have the ball. The staff kept letting anyone in my bridal sweet even men which was terrible I had stuff lost take my cake server and knife and my cake forks were gone. They added a really nice outdoor bar to their patio but I can't say much about the food other then it was subpar. How do you mess up Nachos?? I'll tell you..by not putting ANY guacamole on them, mixing the sour cream with Russian dressing and pouring it over the top, not adding ANY jalapeños, and serving it with barely warm chickens chunks. Absolutely terrible food and service! They screw up even the most basic food including: burgers, cheesesteaks, French onion soup...And this is not a cheap joint. Back in 2013-2014 the food was great - something clearly changed since. Complaints to servers go nowhere - no credit on tab or apologies. The "view" is exceptional - only plus. Incredibly underwhelmed by The View. We went last night for a belated Mother's Day celebration, a group of 4 of us. We were seated outside to enjoy the views, but we were sat at a table that would easily fit 6-8 people comfortably, so it was hard to make conversation. 20 minutes passed and we weren't even given water or asked if we wanted drinks. I had to call the manager over to let her know, and she took our drink order and said it would be out right away. The drinks still took quite some time. Our new server came to "rescue" us, and I will give her props that she was trying to cheer up a visibly irritated table. We had nothing bad to say about her, she was a great server. Finally got our drinks, and our food took a long time as well. I was very underwhelmed by the sesame salmon, the portion was small for the price they charged. My brother and step dad liked their meals (steak and burger) and my mom liked her Mac and cheese but I personally thought it lacked seasoning. When I received the bill, I noticed we were charged for everything. I used to work in the restaurant industry, and IMO they probably shouldn't have charged us for the first round of drinks since we didn't get them for close to 45 minutes after being seated, but I didn't argue it. Overall, I was really disappointed. The views here are beautiful, and we enjoyed the nice weather, but for the price of the dinner I was expecting better food and MUCH better service. Came here for father's day. The place was out of menu items at 11 am. For an appetizer, we ordered nachos... and wow, what a disappointment... chips on the plate sprinkled with some cheese, with some lettuce and chicken. I could make better ones at home, and I am not a good cook! The rest of the food was below average. I ordered tacos in lettuce wraps, had to send them back because they came out in tortilla shells. Finally, my coffee cup was dirty, not exactly reassuring me about the cleanliness of the place. I'd say the only thing that was good, not surprisingly, was the view. Go for cocktails and apps, and sit outside. Go somewhere else for dinner. We started with drinks outside, where the view is beautiful. We had the guacamole app which was good, but not freshly made. My guess is it comes out of a big plastic gallon container. The soft pretzels stuffed with mozzarella and pepperoni were meh. We moved inside for dinner. My filet was so tiny! 3 oz, at best (at an overpriced $30!) It was over cooked and dropped into a congealed accompanying sauce. The "loaded baked potato was awful. Old and dry. The cheee was caked on to the sides - kind of like what you see when things are pre-prepared as a visual sample of what you'll actually be eating. There were some baco-bits stuffed in the middle. But it was SO dry and flakey (not in a good way). We skipped dessert. The service was very good. read more

Love this Place and have been going for years. Have not eaten there in the past few years since the new ownership though. Recently I went to see a show on the patio and to eat dinner. Ordered the Prime Rib special. Meat was 1/3 fat and tough, barely could cut through it. 2x baked Potato dry and tasteless overcooked Asparagus. ($25.00 plate). Really don't like to complain but I sent it back. Was after eight already so I ordered Chips, salsa, guacamole as this seemed to be a safe, quick something to eat after waiting 1/2 hour for a meal I could not eat. 15 mins later the chips and salsa, no guacamole shows up. NP... Start to eat the chips and try to enjoy my 2nd glass of wine only to be wafted with a thick smell of sewage/septic that covered the entire outdoor dining area/deck/bar. It was really gross, so much so that I took my full glass of wine/ food inside. I still could not get the stench out of my system, so I left it all on the bar. Paid the bill and left hungry and upset with my experience. Servers are nice, and so is the management, felt bad for them. read more

Afraid to give it a second try. Maybe it was because it was noon. Not sure why no one wanted to come around. But wouldn't recommend this place during the day. But when it's not busy I couldn't imagine the wait when the place is filled. Real shame because the atmosphere seems nice on top of the views. But service needs to be better. I had an amazing evening at the view and everyone in our party had a wonderful time. Their staff was delightful, accommodating, and so pleasant. We had a private event with 40 ppl, and the staff was SO impressive. They were flexible with the number of tables and accommodating all our requests. Our waitress specifically was top notch. She managed our large party with ease and poise, and made sure all guests were content through out the entire evening. They made my sister and brother n laws' night (recently wed) and we couldn't of wished for anything more. read more
