Big disappointment and big difference in color . Sales person agreed " this is not the same" but since your problem we have now changed our internal process!! Wow great for your company !!Did I get a rebate ? No! I wrote the president , the regional Vp - did I even get a reply or a callback! No!!!! Customer service is terrible. I was left holding the bag. I have used Architectural Ceramics for my kitchen and bathroom remodels, as I love their selection, quality and design expertise. Just recently, Kylee assisted me with a smaller project to tile my bedroom fireplace. When the tile I selected was discontinued, Kylee spent days searching and contacting multiple suppliers to see if they had it in stock. She ended up contacting the original manufacturer and negotiated for them them do another order - just for me. Additionally, Kylee worked with Charlie and his crew who did a wonderful job installing the tile. I am so pleased with the result! The quality of the tiles and the quality of service I received throughout the entire process was exceptional. Agree with other reviewers about the lack of professional follow-through. Initially very helpful to get the sale, then a series of sloppiness, stood-up phone appointments, sales person ordering the wrong product, failure to ensure client received correct products (despite significant mark-up on their end--which one would think would cover them verifying the client received the correct product before it left their warehouse), and then failure to provide a prompt refund when the wrong items were ordered. Finally got fed-up with them and ordered the rest of our tile needs from other vendors. Maybe Betty Sullivan and her son David Benson will learn that it takes more than changing the business name (they are now Architessa) to stop them from losing $30,000 in tile sales--but good old fashioned common sense business practices: do what you say you're going to do and be respectful to the client. read more

I'm doing a massive renovation on two of my bathrooms so I took my lunch break to drive out to Architectural Ceramics, pay for parking and wait in front of the store for half an hour while my parking meter ticked on. Apparently the staff is out to lunch. Would have been nice if lunch hours were reflected in your hours so people, like me, don't waste 90 minutes out of their work day. read more

It is worth the trip to go here and visit the store just to see all the beautiful products. The service is efficient and really exceptional. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I have been working with them on a guest bath and have had the absolute WORST service I have ever experienced. One of their sales reps Alexander Mann has been extremely rude and very very unhelpful to the point he refused to speak with the client that was paying the company for the product. They placed an original order incorrectly and then took 3 weeks to replace the order without so much as an apology. Then we had to order more of the same tile and paid a high price for overnight shipping and Alexander did not place the order correctly (and still would not answer the phone or give our contractor an explanation) resulting in another delay on our order. Not once has there been an apology for the mistakes and lack of service. I can't emphasize enough that I would not use this company. read more

I had a wonderful experience at Architectural Ceramics, where I worked with Kylee Chatham. I was initially hesitant to walk into the store because I was worried they wouldn't welcome business from someone who was trying to do a kitchen renovation "on a home depot budget." But after going to home depot and finding nothing appealing, I decided it was worth a shot. I am so glad that I went in because Kylee immediately helped me even though I had no appointment and professed upon walking in that I was on a very tight budget. She was extremely welcoming, said she had some great options, and she really did. She pulled some beautiful backsplash and floor tile, and provided me with samples and some free design advice as we chose which samples would be best for my cabinet paint, home design, and hardware selections. Quite surprised to see the positive reviews. We ordered thousands of dollars of tile from Architectural Ceramics, but were ultimately disappointed with just about every step of the process. Initial estimated delivery times are quite lengthy, so if you're in a hurry to get your tile, better not hold your breath. Further, our delivery was first incorrect (we received someone else's tile), and then boxes didn't match (I understand that tile doesn't always match up from box to box, but this was a totally different shade). Don't even think about returning tile. Just about everything is special order, so what you get, you're stuck with. Measure your quantities very carefully. Following the intiial order, and due to contractor error, we had to place a second order. We were told repeatedly when the second order would arrive, only to find out that their middleman made a mistake and it would be further delayed by a couple of weeks. Needless to say, when you're renovating, delivery dates for tile orders are extremely important, and these delays cost us time and money. When I addressed the matter directly with Barbara at Architectural Ceramics, the response I received was a polite version of "tough luck. _it happens." I definitely recommend against using them. read more

I had one flawless experience two years ago, but my most recent experience has been very disappointing. I ordered wall and floor tile for a shower. The requested delivery date was not scheduled, and I was unable to confirm bc the store was closed for 5 days over Thanksgiving -Thurs-Monday. No one bothered to mention this. The sales woman arranged for delivery the day after the date requested , but called that morning to say the floor tile I chose was damaged and asked if could I take my second choice. The tile I originally chose was in stock all along , but they didn't bother to check for damage until it was put on the truck. Then, when I tried to confirm the rescheduled delivery the following morning , my tile was not on the delivery truck. They did, to their credit, agree to courier. When we opened the boxes of tile in the condo we realized it was the wrong wall tile( same manufacturer, size 10x30, color, but wrong texture), so they had to come back the following day to exchange. I had some extra tile to return for credit , but weeks latter the credits have not appeared on my credit card. AC has lovely tile options , but I would be reluctant to purchase tile from them again. read more

Tia is a godsend. I had to match tile from my bathroom that the previous owners installed (to repair a single wall) and she was incredibly patient while I attempted to match 7 year old glass tile. Their tile is a bit pricey, but anything that's not generic Home Depot tile is going to be, and the level of service definitely matches the price. Home repairs suck, but having a great shop like this helps ease the pain. read more

First and foremost the designers are amazing, the selection of tile exceptional and the service staff (delivery, back office,etc.) respond immediately to any question. We are using Architectural Ceramics while we build our new home and the result is unparalled.
