I have no problem with that, but it would have been nice to have known that upfront. When I arrived, they had forgotten to create the copies I asked for. They gave me a small discount for having to come back again. Overall, it was a decent experience. I may or may not go back to get others done. UPDATE: I went back in this week to get another vhs transferred and had a MUCH better customer service experience. It was also a different worker than last time. This one was kind, greeted me, and was much more pleasant. He also asked me if I had a time line I needed for the dvds, something the other worker hadn't asked. I will DEFINITELY be returning.

He was unsuccessful at getting it unlocked so he said he could order and cut me a new key. The kicker is he wants to be paid upfront by cash app. DO NOT Pay this guy. After he gets the money he will just start ignoring you! I paid Gomex Locksmith $240 for a replacement key and was told they would come out Tuesday 2/3/26. He was at my house 1/31 That turned into Friday. Then I was told the key had to be ordered from the factory and would arrive Saturday. Saturday came and went with no key, no service, and no follow-up. Every time I would call he would not answer and text hours or days later coming up with an excuse. After that, communication dropped off. I was eventually told I would receive a refund, but that still hasn't happened. So at this point I paid $240, received no service, no key, and no refund -- just delays and excuses for 3 weeks. I gave multiple chances to resolve this before posting. If you need a locksmith who shows up, communicates clearly, and follows through on what they promise, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The results: 1) Charged me more that what his son (same company) had said he'd do it for, 2) the deadbolt only works if you jimmy the door and align it just right, 3) the door handle part of does not remotely work. Gomez blamed it on the part "not working". I've bought locks from Menards for 20 years and never had a problem. He was there for maybe 10 minutes said there was "nothing he could do". After I asked him why I should pay when the work was not done, he said he'd come back the next day at 1:30 pm and text on his way. He neither came back nor texted. He said he tried calling my phone near end of the day but never left a message. He refuses to come back out and finish the job, even with a new unit I bought for him to try. I am $128 poorer and almost nothing to show for it except a badly installed deadbolt. Repeat, bite off your own hand before using him ever.

This is the best place to go for passport or citizenship application photos for Canada (I'm sure…read morefor other non-US countries too) in the Des Moines area- and if you have infants or little kids for their US passport photos too. Sure if you're an adult, for US passports you could just have them taken at the post office if that's where you're submitting your app, but if you want/need photos done before submitting your US passport- definitely go to Christian photos above Walgreens/CVS, etc. They actually have proper lighting and the set up to do infants and younger kids, and the knowledge and patience to get it right. Print off a copy of the photo spec sheets to leave with them- they request that so that they can refer to it while sizing and printing the photos, to ensure they meet the specs. The attention to detail is appreciated. Save yourself the time and headache of asking around at all the drugstores and shipping places that do passport photos on the side, because those folks usually don't know how to change the settings on their machines to do anything beyond US passport photos, or just don't know how picky some other countries can be (Canada for example) about the specs, shadows, head and shoulders squared, etc. And definitely aren't going to be equipped to do all the takes it requires to do infants or little kid photos. It's only slightly more than doing them at a Walgreens, and well worth the peace of mind knowing that it's not going to get rejected because your photos weren't done correctly.
