It's takes a full tank of gas in Gayle's Hyundai for us to reach Ashland from the Bay Area. However, I usually don't push it and top off the tank (depending how full it was to start with) at the Pilot Truck Stops near Dunnigan or Redding. We also stop at this I-5 Arco on the way out, as it seems to have the "cheapest" gas. This time around, gas prices on the Oregon side seemed to be a bit higher than California, which is a switch. However, the big bonus in this "mini-serve" environment was that the guy at the pumps actually washed my windows and did a really good job! read more

The manager at this Arco took her dog into the outside restroom (why she had a dog at work joining her in the bathroom is a bit disturbing). When she slammed the door behind her I asked if I could use the bathroom and she marched away saying she would not use her key to open it for me and I had to go back into the store. When I explained it was poor customer service she told me I could not use their bathroom and blocked the door. How absurd and embarrassing for her. Please don''t use this gas station! read more

I was wondering how a gas station got so many negative reviews! I see why now, we were confronted with a gas attendant too, I mentioned something about isnt it legal to pump my own now and hes like yeahhhhh thats okay and then all was good! Super cheap gas. This arco is on the south side of Ashland and has the cheapest gas in town. It easily beats the gas station prices that are North of town by alot. You're playing yourself if you go the ones north in town. The guys that have pumped my gas have akways been chill and mannerly. They are pretty quick to even when its busy. It would of been a 5 star but theyre cold fridge section is lacking and their bathroom is known to be destroyed. If your going South of Oregon this is the last and cheapest place on i5 to get your gas before entering CA. read more

For the TLDR crowd, DON'T COME HERE. Just don't. I preface most of my reviews with "I'm not a foodie", but since you don't eat gas, well I suppose your rig does, well in any case it's Arco fuel, so it's not like Michelin star "food" for your rig. Anyway, traveling through south we went to the Shell across the street. Much better place, I'm reviewing that, go there if you are looking for a place to quickly refuel. But here, expect to be treated poorly. The bathroom is located outside and when we went at midnight (long drive) it had a line 5 people deep. I pulled up and the attendant, a lovely young man who alone could have given this terrible place 3 stars, started filling. Having spent time in California, having an attendant was nice. And that's where the nice ended. As my daughter waited for the bathroom, I pulled my RV around to get it out of the way of the pumps to a corner next to a motorcyclist, a flat bad truck, and a couple of cars. All folks appearing to sit in their cars getting read to hit the road. The motorcycle dude was on his cell phone. I went inside to see if the AmPm was still "too much good stuff" to find out there was no hot food. Not because of COVID, this AmPm just didn't do that. So don't expect the dogs and burgers most have. I came out, daughter still waiting to use the bathroom, and made myself a sandwich. Finally my daughter came back dirty enough my wife wanted to change her cloths, the bathroom was filthy, as she was doing that the least pleasant person I could imagine from the store and asks us what we are doing. I tell her we are getting situated to go, and will be leaving shortly and she tells me if I don't she will call the cops. Now I am the most recent person who arrived of the 5 cars in the lot, but she comes to me and threatens me if I don't move she will call the cops. I was in an RV, and I can imagine she was thinking we might camp, except we were just cleaning up because of her filthy bathroom. Also, it's a pain in the butt to pull into that station. On 6/8/22 I tried to buy a $50 Arco gift card. The card was declined so I tried it again with the same card and then 2 other cards. All were declined. Then the clerk realized that he had made an error using a $100 Arco gift card instead of a $50. So he got the correction denomination and we tried it again using my original card and it worked. Imagine my surprise when I later discovered all the charges (even the declined ones) were posted to my accounts. What a mess trying to get that cleared up. Never again! read more

I was a long time customer of this Arco. I lived in Ashland for a few years, and nearly every weekend I drove down to the CA bay area. Basically I spent a ludicrous amount of money on gas for three years, and most of it was spent at this station. I was utterly disappointed to find out that this station went through a corporate takeover, and all the old employees were forced to leave. To add insult to injury, the new employees are rude and unhelpful. From now on I'll be getting gas at a different station when I visit. read more

We stopped here for fuel girl knocked on the window, then asked us move next pump, she bit of a big girl with glasses, we asked her fill up the gas, then we had wait for her to get our change, started the vehicle, was only quarter a tank, so asked her top off, she put more in then was another 10 minutes get our change again, we went inside talk guy at the register and he said he needs the receipt from her, she was pretty rude and would run around and help others before helping us finish, it took 18 mins just get gas, do not stop here. read more

This review is for the BATHROOM ONLY. My 3 yr old daughter needed to "go", so we stopped, but didn't need gas or goodies. Omigod, the second I walked in I had to leave. The smell was like a porta-potty, the floor was dirty and wet, the urinal and toilet were stained and wet. We continued down the road to the nearest fast food joint. While looking for a certain snack I ask the employee and he just stood there trying to think what to said. I was expecting a simple answer or a I don't know, I'm new here. We'll start these guys out as looking sharp in the Customer Service Department! The clerks were friendly and they gave us FREE coffee refills. "Are you sure I can't pay you for these?" "Yes, they are on the house!" (I think the posted charge for a refill was 75 cents or thereabouts). Wow!!! That is so cool (and so unheard of these days). And so we filled up there on our return trip. (I assume this more than paid for the free coffee.) Bottom Line: A very SOLID 5 Stars The owner would be very proud of his crew! :) read more

The person working the register the afternoon of April 27, 2014 was extremly bothered by any customer who wanted to use a debit card to fill up. He actually said it was too much of a hassle for him and requested that customers either 'pick a total' for him to ring up or grossly over pre-pay ("just put a $100 on it, okay?"). For local customers, wanting $5.00 or $10.00 worth of gas at a time, that's fine, but for travellers who are filling up for a long interstate trip, he was very offputting, so much so that we will never use this station again. We've never experienced this type of set up or rudeness at any other Arco in Oregon. For what it's worth, the attendant working the pump was very courteous and friendly. read more

Horrible people. Horrible service. Got a tank full of gas and wanted to use the restroom. They told us that the rest room had no key. We went to rest room and it was locked. We waited 30 minute thinking someone was inside. We knocked and no one was inside. We went back in to ask for the key and again was told there was no key. I asked them where they would pea if they needed to and they respond that they do not pee at work. LOL. What a bold faced lie. Thursday, August 31, 2017 at about 10:40 pm I pulled in for gas. I walk inside to pay and through the front window I see a drunk little old man, about 5'8'' walk over to my car, reach down, stand upright and put something on the gas pump. After paying I walk over to my car, the drunk little old man, an employee, had ripped my gas cap off the plastic string that keeps it from falling off, now it will have to be replaced. I mentioned this and he lied and said he didn't, it came off in his hands, he was so drunk I don't know what he was thinking. He was very rude and I'm wondering if I should sue him and the gas station in small claims court. I will never go there again. read more

It hasn't been the same since it reopened after the construction. The flow of asking to "fill it up" is now quite awkward. Also, the new employees working there since it re-opened don't always seem to know what they are doing, or haven't been trained properly or something. I gues Arco was bought by another oil company who do things a little bit differently. I work in Medford so I'll be gassing up there at Fred Meyer from now on, and I don't even have to get out of my car, and the price runs about the same as Arco, if not less. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I just moved up to Ashland and was headed down to California for the holidays to visit family. I asked the service station attendants if chains were required on I-5 which they confirmed. I then asked if they knew where I could get someone to put the chains on. They told me they were doing that right in the parking lot and then directed me to a man rushing between cars putting chains on. Long story short and $20 less my chains had broken after only a few miles out, I had to get help from Oregon Transportation to take off the chains, my wheel casing is wrecked and after doubling back and getting a new set of chains and getting them put on by Les Schwab (which only charges $12 to put chains on) I found out the guy reccommended to me and running "business" out of this gas station didn't even know which tires to put the chains on! It was obvious that this guy was friends with the gas station attendants and that these people were possibly getting a kick back from this guy. I know it won't do much to say that these people have lost my business. But I hope others will be warned off from trusting these people. read more
